Robust, but average user experience
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to get very granular in how you sort things and organize them and pass them on to the next checkpoint/person for review.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is pretty confusing. I wish it were a little more simple to pick up and use right out of the box.

Keeping my tasks and workflow organized.
User-friendly project management that makes your work life flow
What do you like best about the product?
Teams, deadlines, integrations and calendar view

It assigns the task before (or without) an “ok” or submit button
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team collaboration, task assignment, follow through
Great project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Using Asana has really helped streamline interdepartmental communication on projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue we had was before we got Asana implemented for the entire team. We had too many portals for information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teams on the same page, deadlines and workflow are easy to see and manage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Watch as many tutorials as possible. They have great resources for everything.
Me, Myself & Asana
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a great project management tool. In my opinion, Asana does not only used by project managers, but it can also easily be used on any waterfall structured company. What I like most about Asana is the ability to assign employees their roles within the tasks that you have created.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest disadvantage of Asana and many of its competitors is the lack of precise tine tracking features. It is hard to know who spent how much time and were tasks were delayed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think that Asana is a great tool that facilitates the growth of productivity. I think that it also increases team morale.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly Recommended.
Intuitive and Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is straightforward and only requires a minimum amount of effort to understand. Furthermore, it has a fun set up and animations that fit nicely when a task is completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I suppose this is less to do with Asana and more with project management and task completion in general... it's a bit annoying entering in menial tasks in the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall team collaboration and extended project management. We have achieved more visibility into the entire team's capabilities and have been able to prioritize the most important projects.
Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an affordable project management tool that allows for collaboration on projects. I like that projects can be created from existing ones and then customized. I also like that projects can be limited to those working on that particular project. Building new projects from templates is my favorite thing about Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reminders can be cumbersome and easy to ignore. When new features are implemented, it can be difficult to find them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Asana, we can ensure that we are all on the same page with our internal projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is only as good as the users. It is important to update your tasks and be honest about your deadlines and due dates.
Great organizational product
What do you like best about the product?
You can move things from one place to another on the fly to make certain you are organized the most efficient ways (as things change)
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish you could move things from a browser to a desktop to archive them in folders once done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
efficiencies and productivity
Great for remote workers
What do you like best about the product?
I love the check-list capabilities for project management
What do you dislike about the product?
There were a few things I was hoping I could move around into an order of my choice when it comes to prioritizing and the program only goes in certain orders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management with multiple offices. Helpful when coordinating remote workers.
Neutral
What do you like best about the product?
It is easier to add and start projects tasks and conversion with team mates. We can add tasks and organize them dynamically. And also it is easier to assign people to each tasks along with the starting date and ending date. We can also add followers to each project that helps everyone to follow up on what is done what to be done and when to be done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using gantt chart is very expensive in asana. The company needs to spend more money only to access this feature. It is also visually less appealing since it's difficult to switch from list view to board view. Also sometimes it becomes difficult to prioritize tasks when the list become too long.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is used as the project management too where the developers and QA engineers are assigned with the individual tasks along with the starting date to ending date. So that team mates can follow up on overall completeion of the project and monitor the progress.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If the company os small and the number of users are less than 15 go for asana.. then more than 80% features can be accessed for free. If you are visually appealing person where you prefer board vies like in trello asana is not for you. Though asana introduced that feature recently it's still difficult to switch from list to board views.
Comprehensive project management, but take time before you jump in
What do you like best about the product?
A huge array of features for managing the simple day to day tasks to complex projects with multiple dependencies.
What do you dislike about the product?
The advanced search feature could be improved. Filtering down tasks to priorities, specific projects and sorting results is tricky. We still do a lot of analysis in excel (via csv export).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Distributing workload across the team is easier, but has required an investment of time to find workarounds within Asana. For example, we schedule work on a time basis so we've used custom fields to record how much time something takes and use this to check on team members workloads.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take time in the evaluation period to set out how you will work with Asana and ask your team to check it too. Changing your setup down the road is time-consuming.
