What do you like best about the product?
I really like the Asana because it is a very good project management tools. It makes people's life very efficient and productive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not that easy to navigate in the system. I wish they can made it easier for people to use. As people said. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. I hope asana can work on that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project and personal life management. It brings a great benefit to me.

Great for teams

What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is setting up subtasks. This effectively makes complicated tasks like an automated Gant chart. The project just flows to the next person, with no PM needed to move it to the next player. Great for creating efficiencies and smooth workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a lot to get familiar with, so many different ways to view things - but once you figure out its actually an asset because you can dial in your "dashboard" or preferred view just the way you like it. All those options afford you that personalization
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
"too many balls in the air" problem reigned in!

Fantastic way to collaborate across teams

  • October 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Asana offers project tracking tools in many different formats (Kanban, Gantt, calendar, lists, etc) so everyone on your team can track projects in the way which works best for them. The notifications help keep me on track of all of my work, and it's very easy to learn, but also offers the opportunity to dive deeper into full mastery.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform's inability to convert one template type to another (List to Board; Board to List) is frustrating and leads to redundant work when a workflow changes and you need to recreate a project task-by-task. Also, when you copy a task, it does not send you into the new copy, but keeps you in the original. This leads to data being lost if a new team member doesn't notice that they're not editing the duplicate they created.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Asana to collaborate across teams within the same office as well as remote teams. We've simplified our bug reporting process so Customer Support can easily report issues to the appropriate people to triage to Engineering,
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely give Asana a try if you're looking for a project tracking tool. Like any tool, some people love it, some people are ambivalent. But with their bevy of features, it's worth a try.

What do you like best about the product?
Help my team collaborate, share information, plan workload and projects
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, I cant say that there is anything I don't like
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication in my team. We use Slack and then create tasks from slack and put them in projects in Asana. We then tag the projects and link them to OKRs

Great app with a Gantt Chart Integration

  • October 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using the UI of Asana. The app allows the user to spilt up a project into multiple tasks to mark status. I find breaking down the tasks and knowing which umbrella project it is under is very helpful. Plus with the integration you can check the overall progress through the Gantt Chart.
What do you dislike about the product?
The text size is a little small and hard to read at times. I would also prefer them hiding more features upfront so it's not overwhelming when a user first onboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to see progress and break projects into actionable items. This helps with transparency and easy to plan sprints.

The New To Do List software

  • October 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is well designed with a nice optical appearance. It has helped structure timetables, projects and prioritize tasks in better way. There is also a good mobile solution available in the app.
What do you dislike about the product?
There could be more sorting features available, like by due dates for each project. If there is an assigned task with a mid priority level - it should be possible to sort that way - so as not to manually keep track of priorities and due dates in my personal and group projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped keep projects in view and nothing has been missed with this software. I do find it to be a suitable software thus far.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The Asana tool helps prioritize projects and pending tasks. It gives you the ease of seeing what you have worked on and accomplished before to assess your progress.

Love Asana! Super helpful for event management.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That you can assign tasks and add deadlines to tasks. It makes it easy to collaborate and prioritize. It's made it easy to be able to see all my events in one place and to plan for my workload accordingly. It really easy to use, the support and training available from Asana are great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a better task template feature. Sometimes switching between view could be better, or it would be nice to be able to see attachments (PDF and spreadsheets), directly in the platform without having to download.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning events and tracking deadlines.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend, it's a useful tool. Even the free version is a good place to start managing your projects.

By far the best tool to organize anything - personal to team-based.

  • October 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana's complicated...but simple. It's hard to describe, there's an elegance in the design that makes it incredibly easy to find yourself falling into an extremely productive and personalized organizational system. I personally track my entire sales pipeline inside Asana, for example, as I can see what I need to see - and not see what I don't want to see, all with minimal set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
I could go for a better mobile app, or some automation behind automatically assigning tasks to myself if it's a personal board. Unattributed tasks can get lost at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm personally organizing both my family activities, as well as my sales pipeline within Asana.

For my family activities, it really helps me make sure I'm covering the bases I want to cover to be a great friend, husband, and father. For my sales pipeline, I have a card for each opportunity as well as a column for when I'm expecting the business - the board view plus the list view and custom fields makes it an incredibly efficient tool to look at my pipeline from afar.

Prior to my new role, I had organized our entire sales development team from Asana as well, each person was a card, and it allowed me, as the administrator, to assign tasks to managers to follow up and/or give feedback on each individual person in an incredibly organized manner.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommended.

I've vetted out several project management tools, from JIRA to Trello. It accomplishes that perfect in-between of functionality and simplicity. Don't underestimate the value of simplicity.

Easy to use task manager

  • October 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
You can assign tasks to different users and see other users tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like all aspects of Asana thus far. Very much what we needed in a task management tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing the lists of tasks needing to be completed. Sorting the tasks by due date has been a great advantage for users to see what needs to be done and when.

Easy to use project management tool

  • October 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana was a good tool for my team to use in order to break down larger tasks. It helped us manage projects in whole and in part. It is a bit of a lightweight resource and may not be for use in more large-scale products.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface wasn't completely self-explanatory. It took team members a little while to realize how to use many aspects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The timeline feature was excellent. By assigning due dates and allowing the supervisor to see progress, we were able to keep on top of all aspects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For significant projects, Asana may not have the heavy lifting required. However, it is great for short-term projects.
