The primary tool to manage projects in your company

  • September 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like asana for all the functions it offers me, its interface is very easy to navigate and also intuitive. I also like that it allows me to tag all the members of my work team in the comments, I can share files and links, assign tasks to everyone and thus reach a general approval.
What do you dislike about the product?
Two very clear disadvantages, first if I choose a project format I cannot change it. Another is your search option is very overwhelming since it takes time to search for project names when I have too many.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana benefits because it is a very useful tool in my company, since it has allowed to keep everything in an order. Keep all projects and tasks managed including text messages, copies, images, PDF, and have the facility to download everything to have it in physical.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
With Asana you can execute tasks and projects without difficulty, this program allows you to organize and allows collaboration between teams in terms of activities, assignment of tasks and have the satisfaction that your company grows.

My Go-to Project Management App

  • September 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love everything about Asana, from it's intuitive interface to it's ability to communicate with other team members. For us, it's the "outline" type layout that works perfectly for our projects. We can set calendar due dates, make notes and communicate across different team channels to make sure every one is on the same page.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana works for us. There are some premium features that it would be nice to access on a more affordable plan for freelancers or one person businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps us keep all of our projects on time and up to date. We are able to instantly add research online using the Google plugin, add tasks, notes etc. We've been able to layout our projects and work through them as a team on a systematic basis.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is an easy to implement Project Management software. It's fast, it's online,it's easy to use. We also can communicate as a team for changes, questions, suggestions and due dates. The free version is super powerful and the premium version is reasonably priced.

Small office delgation system

  • September 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Our office is small and you'd think that because of our size, we wouldn't have much miscommunication on tasks, but that it simply not the case. Asana helps us eliminate any cross-wiring in communications regarding tasks.

You are able to create different “projects” – we use this function to keep our many events separate. Then, within the project, you can select tags, such as “registration” or “marketing”. Then, you can assign one or more people to the task.

Another perk is that within a task, you can create subtasks AND you can mark a task dependent on another task that needs to be done first. It’s very stream-lined once you learn how to navigate the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing that I dislike is that if someone makes a comment on a task that is meant fo ryou to see -- it could very well end up lost in the shuffle if you don't check your tasks and notifications regularly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has help us delegate tasks in a more streamlined way and has allowed us to see what everyone is working on so we don't overwhelm anyone with extra work. It's also been helpful to track the progress on certain projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We love Asana, but it does take time to set-up and learn how to navigate all it has to offer. Once you set up everything you need and become familiary with the functionaly of it all as a whole, it's smoothe sailing going forward.

Asana is great for multi-team project collaboration

  • September 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Can handle simple and highly complex projects - example: we have used it to manage website updates across 4 teams, updates for social media posts for one team, and complete company projects to manage product release updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX is intuitive, but overwhelming to look at. Prefer UI that would provide an overview that isn't a hundred lines long (even if that is what is going on) as the organization manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving for execution on deliverables by multiple ICs and cross-functional teams.

Benefits have been on-time delivery of these projects with transparency across these teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are many other tools out there, but Asana has the buy-in from many on our team who understand how to work within Asana.

It’s okay

  • September 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
If there was no other way to manage this would be fine to use. It clearly sets out tasks for individuals and teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn’t say that it’s clear or easy to get right away. It takes some time and learning which tabs to click and I found it easy to miss information until I knew where to look exactly. The notifications were not loud enough for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I stoped using asana. But it was good for organizing my team before we found a better solution—just emailing tasks.
