Great for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great for tracking tasks for a team. Assigning tasks to people and adding them to your list makes project management easy and transparent.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few other apps that do what asana does AND more, so I don't use it as often as other apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
remembering who is supposed to do what and deadlines. team projects are easy to manage on asana.
Asana as a tool for teamwork
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Asana is being able to set up projects and due dates. So all who are involved can see the status of the project and the timeframe.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you don't have your settings set up correctly, you can end up having your email flooded by the changes and updates to tasks and projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping us organize our projects and keeping us on track to hit deadlines.
An assistant's BFF
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is so user friendly and helps us keep our crap together! We are a busy office headed in 1000 directions and it has been great for keeping our tasks on track and meeting our goals as a team but also as individual teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be hard to get everyone in our office to get their whole lives put into this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problems of having everyone going in a million different directions. We like to keep everyone contained and on the right track.
user friendly, increases workflow
What do you like best about the product?
user friendly, increases workflow productivity
What do you dislike about the product?
wish there was a mobile app which would be great
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
increased workflow productivity
Malleable Tool for Customized Project Management Structure
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Asana has a very open structure in that it allows you to structure your project management suite/workflow however works for your team/products.
What do you dislike about the product?
That same open structure can be the worst thing about Asana in naive/the wrong hands - it is up to the users to decide and enforce structure and good practices, since Asana doesn't do that for you. You can't just go in mindlessly or wing it and expect to get anything other than a messy swamp.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alignment among multiple stakeholders, centralized documentation, thoughtful collaborative planning.
So. Many. Options.
What do you like best about the product?
Asana offers tons of options for teams of all sizes, including customized views, notifications, and templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be very overwhelming for those unfamiliar with the platform, especially when the default setting is that you are notified by email whenever ANYONE makes a move, edit, or breathes in relation to your project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana works well for teams that function on different platforms and workspaces (e.g. PC, Mac, gmail, non-gmail, etc)
Gorgeous timeline view
What do you like best about the product?
The timeline feature is absolutely beautiful, easy to use, and helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana doesn't work well for teams of all sizes, but it's a great in between point between Trello and Jira
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management for product teams
Extremely customizable
What do you like best about the product?
The amount of detail you can add helps to stay extremely organized. Asana’s mobile apps are available for both iOS and Android, but there are alot of clicks to get where you want to be. The software can be integrated with third-party applications like Sunrise, Dropbox, Slack, Box, Google Drive and Hipchat.
What do you dislike about the product?
You must have a strategy to layout your processes and it works best if you have an admin who can monitor progress and own how work is set up. It lacks in the areas around more in-depth aspects of project management, but it works fine for managing workflow. Reporting is fairly basic and may not meet all teams' needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use the platform for workflow management and communication between departments working on one project. There are a lot of details to be assigned so it forces you to look at your whole process from beginning to end and may uncover holes in the workflow. Communication between departments has improved as long as everyone uses the system and not email. It has been a case of adoption for our users.

Asana is a LIFESAVER
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has truly helped me get organized and stay on topic at work! The design and product features are top-notch, even at the free level. I really like the options to see your project in many different ways. For example, I often list out my tasks and then switch the view to the kanban board. The kanban board is perfect for dividing tasks into Do Now and Do later.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike is there doesn't seem to be a feature for setting a priority for tasks inside of a project. This would help me be able to evaluate more quickly what I need to get done first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Asana I have improved my workflow and project management. Before I was constantly writing to-do lists in journals only to forget them or not remember what I had written down. I constantly bought new planners but could never commit to actually filling them out. Asana has changed all of this. Now I feel like I have my own personal assistant!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It can be really hard to find a project management software that checks off all the boxes for what you need. I have tried several and none of them have retained me as a user, except for Asana! If you ask me, Asana is the program to use. If you're not sure, sign up for the free version and test it out; I am sure you will love it as much as I do!
Very well features project management software
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to visualize what we are on track what is pending, what we are late doing when managing a team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not that easy to involve software engineering team in the use of the software. They still prefer Jira.
