Makes work tasks easier to manage

  • September 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a great program once you know how to use it. Whether your task is just a one layer event or a multi-layer beast that requires several collaborators, you know that you will stay on target.
What do you dislike about the product?
For those that are not project-oriented, there can be a bit of a learning curve to start for some. Some members of my team that use it less frequently seem to struggle when beginning to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team has begun using it for a number of projects and tracking events and opportunities with our agents, candidates for various positions and training

What do you like best about the product?
I like the boards, how you can add people and task and easily keep up with the projects we are all connected.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first it took me a bit to understand--looked overwhelming and confusing, but once I figured it out, it was easy to follow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Email Fatigue and Confusion

  • September 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
the ability to move tasks around, report status, and attach files is fairly straight forward. The ability attach a file and mark it up with comments is great, however the markup tool is extremely limited.
What do you dislike about the product?
The notifications. Everything in Asana sends you an email. It's insane how much email this service generates and how uninviting and confusing/cluttered the user interface is. The markup tool is a nice start, but cannot be enlarged or use PDF files at this time. The markup tool does not allow for images to be rotated or enlarged, which limits a lot of true function. Aside from the promise of the markup tool, this is my least favorite project management experience by far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None. This service buries my inbox, confuses our team endlessly, and we're only still tied to it because we made such a big push to get it online.

Haven't experienced a lot of downsides. Would like to see it integrate with more services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Has allowed for much easier communication throughout our team on a variety of different projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana's free version gives a good preview of the available features and workflow.

Solid Project Management Tool

  • September 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
EASY to learn. Yes there are a lot of things you can do, but the program is very easy to learn and they have a ton of videos and articles to help during implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much I dislike right now. Thanks to the sheer number of options and learning tools, the process has been great so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are much more organized! The interdepartmental visibility is like nothing we've had before, and we've been able to hold each other much more accountable since we got Asana.

Useful task management tool

  • September 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it extremely easy to create tasks. It starts with the most basic elements of creating tasks, then gives expanded options from there.
Asana helps to keep what is most relevant in front of you/at the top of your list.
What do you dislike about the product?
It feels like they want to be a project management tool, but are stuck in task management. There is no time estimation and tracking tool, other than seeing how much time a task has been in a certain state.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating tasks easily and effortlessly. It saves time in creating and assigning tasks to any people involved in the task.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a robust task management tool, this would be for you. If you are looking for a project management tool, this isn't the best solution.

What do you like best about the product?
Asana helps our team to keep on track when it comes to project deadlines and to-do lists. We love being notified of when things are being completed and items are checked off the list.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the various features can be a bit tedious sometimes when you're trying to create multiple assignments or do large-scale edits on projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is improving our communication on projects and deadlines and allows us to see where everyone is at, adding a second layer of accountability!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana has a great "basic" free version that you and your team can try before going live with it! I recommend doing that before using it.

Get things done!

  • September 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana keeps my staff on track with to do lists and management directly through the app. I can easily see what has been completed and what tasks my staff are waiting to complete. The category feature breaks down individual departments or events making the lists organized and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana could have better integration with other popular business app such as slack and outlook. The notifications could also be better tailored for the user and the task assigners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana allows me to inform my staff of tasks and to dos without the need to write lengthy emails that get lost in the inbox. I also know when a task is complete and can easily assign a task to someone else if needed.
