Asana for Event/Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
The thing that I like most about Asana is the ability to create multiple, separate projects in one system. I also like that in the projects you can assign different tasks to team members to make sure they receive a notification and a task that gets added to their own board. It's a create way to keep people accountable of the tasks they own. The email notifications are also really nice - multiple places to send reminders on upcoming due dates. It's also great that there is a ability to have people outside of your "team" on the boards, as well. It's a great tool for us to keep things organized and functional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Right now, there is not a ton that I dislike about the platform. It does a lot of what I need it to do without making it complicated for other's to use. It's very user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving multiple problems with Asana.
1. It is a great way to hold people accountable to their tasks at hand. The other nice thing is that other are able to see these tasks so it really drills in the accountability which keeps us on track to hitting deadlines.
2. We are saving money by not missing important deadlines that we used to be penalized for in the past.
3. We are able to work better cross functionally. This software allows us to work with other members at our company in a more organized fashion and allows us to be better partners to others in our business.

expensive for premium account, not sure if we are fully utilizing it to make it worth the money

try the free version for awhile before upgrading

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is basic, but meets the requirements of probably 80% of users. It features a slick interface, with lots of help available online when things don't go to plan.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana lacks some features that force it to appeal only to basic setups. For example, Gantt charts are paid extras.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Asana when looking to migrate from Trello. Ultimately, we chose to go with Jira because of how much more powerful it is.
Great for solo entrepreneurs (but pricing is deceptive)
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can create flexible deadlines, so I can set a deadline a few days before the actual deadline.I appreciate that I can color-code projects, which helps me prioritize projects that are active vs upcoming. I also love that I can check off items as I go. The little graphic when you accomplish something is very satisfying. :)
What do you dislike about the product?
I really dislike the pricing model. It's listed as $7/person/month. However, it assumes a minimum of 5 users which is not clear on their pricing list at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to organize my calendar, prioritize projects, manage deadlines, and set daily and weekly goals.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Stick with the free version unless you manage a team that needs to have access to the premium features.

It is all on one place and helps us to deal with the detail in organised way.
What do you dislike about the product?
To many emails, and task updates. Sometime there are 2 emails for one task that is too much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All the task are getting done on time
Asana is great for small team collaboration and task tracking
What do you like best about the product?
I find the Asana interface very easy to use. There are many different types of views that are appealing to different types of people or roles. For example, I primarily use the list view to plan campaigns, but our Events Coordinator primarily uses the calendar view.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that you cannot assign multiple people to 1 task, you have to create a duplicate instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped with cross-team collaboration. It allows us to have the right amount of transparency within our larger marketing team, not just within our small teams. We were able to create time-saving processes for tasks that are usually time consuming.
Great help for starter companies

Great marketing tools and templates excellent for the people not use to create matketing campaigns

Not much maybe q bit difficult to understand at first because there are many products

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to see a project timeline and all the players involved.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the UI/UX could be a bit better. It is currently a little clunky and not as intuitive as I'd like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communicating project timelines and requests among a spread out and diverse team. Allows everyone to see where a project is in terms of completion.
Online Task Manager
What do you like best about the product?
I like Asana because it keeps work organized, tasks can be assigned, I like its interface because it is simple and fluid, I think it is an excellent project manager and easy to use, since it helps keep the work team together.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that it is a paid software, I also wish that I had a free version to use it and that I had the option of being able to assign the same task to two people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It benefits me to use Asana because it helps me and my colleagues to organize our projects, also to assign and manage the pending tasks within the company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend this software to manage tasks and projects in your company, this tool allows you to visualize, organize and track everything and allows collaboration within the work team.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s very easy to create new tasks and assign them. I like that I can filter task quickly, and adjust priorities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Asana tasks were numbered so it’s easier to reference in discussions. we had our coders customize that function but it should already be a feature. I also wish I could filter by tags easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped me stay more organized, and work through various projects. We’ve used other programs in the past but Asana has been the simplest to use.
