One of Asanas greatest features is the ability to tag items, making it very streamline and very clear on what tasks are assigned to whom and what folder.
This clears up any confusion that accompanies traditional task lists.
This clears up any confusion that accompanies traditional task lists.

You either have to learn how to use some of the features from someone that is experienced with asana or just keep messing with features until you figure them out, as there isnt a very detailed "how to" use some features.

The global search results could be greatly improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s helping us communicate within each task and/or project rather than using a tools like slack and having snippets of chat become lost outside of a project/task.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend taking an Asana learning course or finding somebody to teach you how to use the software because it can get pretty tricky at times. Though once you get the hang of it, it’s super simple and easy to use!
Great and easy service
What do you like best about the product?
I like that everything is right there in front of you so you cant miss a thing. I also appreciate the fact that I can customize my task list and projects based off of the style that works best for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that it was a bit easier to customize the look and feel of the list. With colors, fonts, etc. I also wish that I could more easily integrate it with the different programs I use on a daily basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I often forget the smaller but important task. Knowing that I have the asana tab always open, I can easily add the task and continue what I was working on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's great and works really well for people like me who need a task list. All I had to so was continuously remind myself to fill it up and be consistent.
Great tool for that dont required advanced project management features
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an easy to use project management tool. It has an intuitive interface to help build projects, assign tasks, and track progress. Some of the great features include
- Setting dependent tasks
- Building custom fields based on your team's unique needs. (example, priority)
- With notifications, Asana will let team members know when what tasks are upcoming or when a principal task has completed so you can start a dependent task.
Asana also has a built-in timeline view that automatically builds from your task list, in a Gantt chart fashion. You can assign a task to team members or 3rd party agents, and provide them just with the permissions to see what you want them to see.
Each user has a personal dashboard that shows their upcoming tasks and progress. This is very helpful, especially when there are a lot of balls in the air.

What do you dislike about the product?
Our biggest complaint is that there isn't enough automation for tasks. For example, if the completion date for a principal task slips, the dependent tasks are not automatically pushed out. Instead, you have to manually update all dependent task to make sure their completion dates align. Also, when you set a start and completion date, the task duration field should automatically update so you know exactly how long a task will take. Lastly, there isn't a way to assign multiple team members to a task. So if there is a task that two team members are working on, you have to create two task and update them separately. It would be much easier if you could either group these tasks so they can be updated in one field or have multiple people on a task
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our biggest reason for using Asana is to help organize our team's projects, stay on top of tasks and work with cross-functional teams seamlessly. Asana has allowed us to do this. Our only wish is that it had more automated features.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great way to manage a team with lots of projects. They are working on building more automated solutions which will make this tool even better.
User friendly task management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is super user friendly and easy for new users to navigate, is easy to set-up and administer, has a clean UI, and a fairly robust free version.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is not quite robust enough for true Project Managers on Professional Services teams. It's better for HR, Marketing, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Asana for task and project management. It helps keep everyone on the same page with less communication. You can add followers to keep them up to date on a project even if they're not heavily involved, which cuts down on emails.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool for task and project management, but generally preferred by teams that don't need a super robust project management tool. Easy to use and affordable.
Great for assigning tasks, responsibilities and follow ups
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can easily find your previous task and you can add people any time so the catch up with the project
What do you dislike about the product?
If Is not so good to create a time line of a project
