a simple yet powerful Todo list
What do you like best about the product?
Its simplicity and easy to use. Yet you can do many things with it. It has many keyboard shortcuts that makes things faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't have a template for kanban or scrum. Maybe it is product differentiation from Jira or Trello.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is easy to assign task, measure progress and keep tracks of everything.
Love this program for organizing everything, BUT you will need someone to show you how to use it!
What do you like best about the product?
Amazing app that puts everything in one place! Love that there is a desktop and mobile version to help create projects, list, assign, and keep track of the productivity for each project. I can have multiple users per project, allow communication logs between users, checklists and more! I also love the multiple viewings/layouts to choose from per project.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is so in depth and has so many wonderful tools, that it took me meeting with someone who has used it for over a year to really show all the program has to offer!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows all our projects to be in one place and keep everything organized and on time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get it, find someone to help teach you, and boom!
Asana Task Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Asana categorizes and creates task lists. There's also a great interdependency feature where one task can trigger another upon completion. It also does a very good job at providing separate views for incomplete and completed tasks. Reports and list generation is also easy to customize in the application using filters.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the calendar and timeline views. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to overlap these views with multiple projects. There should be a way to choose and select which projects you need to view simultaneously. The calendar and timeline views should also have more ways to create custom views based on other fields in the application. Finally there's no way to mark percentage of completion on tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've solved project managing and assigning ownership of tasks with due dates. It's also made communication more seamless. When a user makes updates to a task in Asana, it automatically triggers an email to the followers of that task. It's also a great way of storing conversations, notes, and history on attributed to any task rather thatn having to search through emails.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is a great way to collaborate and assign tasks, but is limited in providing a high level view of all projects. I would recommend using Asana to track details. Asana should look into improving their timeline view or consider incorporating gant charts. Currently we're using SmartSheets to view overlapping project timelines, but keeping individual task management in Asana.
Task Management, confusing at times
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the organizational features of asana, from multiple boards to calendars and timelines for projects. It makes it simple to see your calendar of tasks to be done for the day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana can be very confusing at times when you have a lot of things going on at once. Multiple boards can be beneficial, but projects can get lost at times with multiple notifications coming in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has made it easy to put all projects in one place and keep track of what you need, but at the same time it has some downsides I can't get over.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It can be very confusing and frustrating for employees
Asana conveniently stores all of our work activities into one web-based platform
What do you like best about the product?
There are many great organizational sections that help us to compartmentalize all the different aspects of our group projects. We can attach many different users to one project and update all the information live so that people will know all the latest information and have the latest resources to move forward with their own tasks. The support team at Asana helps us to fill in the blanks whenever we are missing information about the functionality of the software and can't figure it out how to operate some features on their website.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that I'd like to have more customization options when it comes to displaying our project information and due dates. Though there are many different ways we can activate preset structures for our projects, I feel like it'd be more productive if we could eliminate some sections and only focus on the things that are most meaningful to our particular project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is great for staying on track and understanding what is due in the future for everyone involved in a project. We don't have to spend as much time having meetings and getting everyone up to date on information. We can all just check into our Asana accounts to see the latest information and access the current project materials. We don't even have to be in the same vicinity in order to meet and collaborate on project activities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana has a great visual interface and isn't too difficult to use, so I would recommend using it as a premium collaboration software. If your budget is limited, I would probably explore one of the many other lower-cost options since many of these types of work productivity software have the same features these days.

What do you dislike about the product?
Takes a bit to learn to use the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working on time management and overall organization.
The best project management tool I've used
What do you like best about the product?
The free version is incredibly effective - which is extremely rare. The platform is intuitive and user friendly, and it's easy to get new users acclimated onto it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no features I dislike - the only obvious one being that I wish it was all free!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use this to create project templates and we can "clone" projects to ensure all prior steps were followed during the project. This ensures consistency and that no steps were missed.
Easy to use; Visually appealing
What do you like best about the product?
I like the quick, at a glance, calendar view. I love the user interface, it's beautiful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure how to organize archived projects or print out detailed reports or document ROI per campaign or budgets
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I was working within small teams, it worked really well; made project organization easy and it took new users minutes to figure out.

Excellent first project management app
Tricky to Learn but an Incredible Tool Once Mastered
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a great project management system. It is a helpful tool for working with a large team. Several different people can work on the same project seamlessly. It also is a great way to stay organized with several different documents or parts of a project. I even use Asana for my own tasks because I can set recurring reminders, and I enjoy the satisfaction of being able to check off a task once it is completed. I also enjoy all of the personalizations you are able to do to make it more fun, like changing the background and turning on "occasional celebrations" for a fun surprise when I complete a task.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is a platform with many different functions and uses. It can take a while to get the hang of Asana, and I feel like I am still learning it. Several people on our team who don't use it as often get frustrated because it does take a lot of knowledge and know-how to navigate. I also find it difficult to locate previous projects on there often, especially if I wasn't a part of it and am trying to find it after it has been completed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to divide and track progress easily and in one place. We are also able to work with other departments, including giving and receiving feedback, without hosting meetings. This cuts down on the time it takes to actually complete a project and frees up our time with fewer meetings. We can also set deadlines and timelines.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is a great tool, but be prepared to equip your team with resources and training to be able to use it effectively.
Project Management for Dummies
What do you like best about the product?
There are so many things that I like about Asana. The number one thing would be the ease of use. My entire team is able to manage tasks within one system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana doesn't integrate well with other tools like Salesforce, slack etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana to solve any in-flight and post-flight client issues. The biggest benefits are being able to have a large team working on the same tasks without much confusion.
