Asana is the best of all worlds
What do you like best about the product?
Asana’s multi-home feature was an absolute game changer for my work several years ago, and it still is today. More tools have added that capability by now, but its usefulness is still unmatched, given that Asana is also more user friendly, has better customization ability, provides more feature access at the lowest paid plan level (which now includes the best built-in AI functionality I’ve seen yet) than the alternatives. To me, Asana is the most logically and efficiently structured product of its kind, which makes everything better. And the pricing is reasonable! You will not find a better bang for your buck - the best functionality, for the best price.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like a little more customization ability of how fields appear on tasks. I want to be able to demarcate different sections of fields, and to be able remove unused fields from individual tasks even if the fields are on the project. I would also like to be able to have different fields appear on the face of the task cards on boards by column/section. I want to be able to make a burn up chart of different custom number fields, not just tasks completed/not completed. These are all just small kinds of things that they are always updating anyway. Another small downside is how all same email domain accounts must have a seat on the plan. It doesn’t feel “worth it” to pay for a seat for those who only need to view a dashboard a few times a year, or work on one thing one time, etc, because that can be a good number of people and become cost prohibitive pretty quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The multi-home feature with separate access/permissions by task and project reduces several layers of duplication of communication and data management when collaborating across multiple teams. The amount of work this eliminates is significant, which also eliminates much opportunity for error. So it makes us both more efficient and more accurate
Highly Customizable with Seamless Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
I like how customizable and interchangeable everything is with Asana. They have great integrations and automation, and I appreciate the more customizability and control it offers. The initial setup was very simple, which was really nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
The view is a bit much; everything is in the sidebar. I would like to be able to add and remove items from view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me with organization and standardization in daily business management.
Great tool if you are willing to keep on it
What do you like best about the product?
The new AI features for example around status development, or report creation.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a lot of great features that are not intuitive to find. The AI feature may be helping to surface this though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping a tracking of projects, team availability, PTO etc
Great productivity tool!
What do you like best about the product?
My tasks calendar has helped efficiently plan the week ahead and get important not urgent tasks done
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to see a start time for tasks on the calendar view, only in list. Some basic features like goals should be available in the starter package
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used to focus on 7 habits elements of weekly planning and focusing on important not urgent tasks in all aspects not just business
Amazing experience
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that I am able to collaborate and work with other team members from different departments.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes struggle with navigating through some features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solved the problem of interacting with different teams. Now all I have to do is either assign a task to another team member or tag them to it.
Asana is very valuable to the operation and work flow!
What do you like best about the product?
With Asana, we able to keep track of every job entering the pipeline and what has to be done and by whom. This has greatly improved the speed of our workflow
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't seen anything in Asana that I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When jobs into our workflow it has to entered by the order taker, viewed by the scheduler, assigned to the graphics department and then sent to production. In the past, this process would sometimes become confusing and deadlines would sometimes be missed. Asana has enabled us to keep all relevant information and files in the same place easily accessible by everyone in the flow. I am not sure what we would do if we had to go without Asana. I love being able to add tags to jobs with customized labels so everyone can see at a glance what stage the job is in.
Asana is part of our daily success and growth!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has been a "go to" for project management and organization for a previous creative company that I owned for 10 years, and now currently at a landscape architectural company that I've worked at for over a year. Once getting the team on board...Asana has been a big part of the company's scale and growth goals. Easy to use, follow and so much potential to automate etc. Integration with other apps is key too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find some of the "design" features limiting. Our team wishes there was more opportunity to color coordinate tasks, workflow etc....but overall it's a great platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
workflow, and workspace organization
Love Asana so much I have a personal account for personal projects
What do you like best about the product?
I don't know how anyone works without Asana. I love the collaboration- the ability to assign tasks to multiple coworkers at a time, project organization, using it for event planning, the templates. I use it daily and would have an unproductive day at work without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The upscaling of features, the free version is great, but you do really need one of the paid versions. More customization features (such as renaming already made custom fields) I also feel the form feature could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps tasks not get lost in conversations or planning. Being able to have projects, sections, and tasks all organized helps me feel less anxiety about forgetting tasks.
Couldnt live without Asana
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to manage multiple projects and staff members.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, everything works well for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project and event management.
Asana is the best project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Asana is how it brings clarity and structure to team workflows. It's easy to assign tasks, set deadlines, and track progress, which keeps everyone aligned and accountable. I also really value the visual project views—like boards and timelines—for quickly understanding where things stand. The ability to collaborate directly within tasks (with comments, attachments, and subtasks) makes communication seamless and reduces the need for scattered follow-up emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about Asana is that recurring tasks can be a bit inflexible—it’s hard to make changes to individual instances without affecting the entire series. Also, when managing multiple projects, it can sometimes feel overwhelming without stronger filtering or prioritization tools across all tasks. Lastly, while Asana is powerful, some team members find the learning curve steep at first, especially when trying to balance between list, board, and timeline views.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps solve the problem of task visibility and accountability across teams. It centralizes our work, making it easy to see who’s responsible for what, when it's due, and how it fits into the larger project. This reduces miscommunication, helps us meet deadlines more consistently, and keeps everyone aligned—especially when juggling multiple projects or cross-functional teams. It’s also great for tracking progress without needing constant status meetings.
