The load time can be slow at times and the connection will drop occasionally.

Prioritizing short and longterm strategic objectives and sub-tasks;

Tracking tasks and deadlines through an easy-to-use interface.

There is no way to display a full project timeline which appears similar to a Gantt chart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping myself on track in order to follow-up and manage stakeholders effectively. I've realized the benefits of being able to prioritize more effectively.

What do you like best about the product?
It's hard to choose just one thing. I really enjoy the clean feel to the dashboards, and how it's easy to see see so much information all in one space. I particularly like how I can add files to tasks - this has kept my desktop from being home to all of the files that I haven't had time to sort through yet!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much comes to mind here - I generally keep Asana open all day long on my second monitor, and would be somewhat lost without it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm always working on multiple projects that often have overlapping deadlines. Asana has helped me break these projects into clear, well-defined tasks. I've found on multiple occasions that when I build a project in Asana, it keeps me honest! It also keeps me from inadvertently skipping a step or two (a natural born project manager I am not). One benefit I hadn't expected is that Asana has helped me refine the processes I use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My recommendation would be to try Asana out and really get your hands dirty, so to speak. I was somewhat skeptical about yet another project management tool, but I'm well and truly converted! One of the things that I really like about Asana is how it enables all of the members of your team to engage with it - a number of the past tools I've used have been owned by the PM exclusively, and other team members have only had the ability to view information.

I have found the mobile site hard to navigate.

Doesn't do well as a casual tool, requires too much active engagement, eventually our data just got stale

Good organization with Asana
What do you like best about the product?
I like how flexible Asana is, and how you can kind of customize how you use it based on your needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you know how YOU use Asana, someone else may be using it VERY differently, so there could be confusion if two of those ways collide for any reason.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes task organization much easier, especially when you are able to ASSIGN tasks. It helps a lot with accountability.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend getting your own system of organization down for using Asana, and communicating it well so it is consistent across your team.

The evnironment is too heavy, sometimes takes awhile to load the website.

Great tool to manage a marketing calendar
What do you like best about the product?
Plans constantly change so the ability to move tasks around freely makes it easy to reorganize the calendar.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to have some type of calendar integration with Google Calendar for task reminders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We manage our marketing calendar. The whole marketing team plus any one else who we want to share it with can all access it to know what's going on that week.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's very easy to use and great for event planning or to use as a marketing calendar. It's great to share with teams and to assign tasks for team members and set due dates.

Asana is a powerful tool for creating and keeping track of task, action items and to do's. It is very simple to use, and very user friendly
What do you dislike about the product?
A little hard to create a cluster of to do revolving around one main subject, as the to dos can be too scattered.
