Everything all in one place
What do you like best about the product?
I can quickly and easily set a task, recurring task or add a project and then not worry about it until it comes up again on my dashboard. When I use the tags and tag colors I can quickly identify and categorize tasks and even see them on different calendars.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to know some simple tricks to quickly and easily set up a project. The trick is that you have to put a colon (:) after a task name to make it a project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage all the tasks for managing 100+ client websites and social media updates single-handedly. But, I can easily add a team member and assign them tasks when I need to.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I use the color coding as well as tagging to allow me to see the tasks that I can't let slide. I recently switched to looking at tasks in the calendar format and I prefer this view.
Asana has a very easy to understand interface
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has simple and easy to use interface. It has great set of tools that are not very complex. I love that they constantly release new features and we are very satisfied from using this product. They do everything to meet our needs
What do you dislike about the product?
No integration with MS word and that causes a bit of problems when you want the work to be documented as well
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assigning tasks and tracking them
You Will Wanna Use Asana
What do you like best about the product?
This is one of my favourite programs to use at work. Firstly it makes organizing my schedule a breeze and I am able to track of what my deadlines are and I take great satisfaction in ticking off tasks that I have complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how it send me an email every time I create a task. I know I created so I don't need to be reminded. It ends up filling up my inbox unnecessarily . It make sense to let everyone know but I just personally don't like that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has definitely helped us to stay on tract. I am able to assign tasks to the videographer so he is able to get footage and photos on time. It has helped me be more prepared for meetings which in turn has helped me be more professional and ready for unexpected things. I am able to take notes during meetings which helps me to remember everything I need to get done that week.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is definitely worth using if you want to stay professional and get tasks done on time!
Make it happen with Asana!
What do you like best about the product?
Options to assign/delegate and categorize/tag by project
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a better way to have notes / documents
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration and hitting deadlines by clearly setting expectations
Simple, fun to use
What do you like best about the product?
It’s quite intuitive and easy to learn. Even my most tech averse and less savvy staff love and use it daily. I like the consolidated email updates and the board and list options. It’s very versatile and easily tailored which I appreciate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The email updates could be a little bit easier to digest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamwork, transparency, status updates, automated reminders for deadlines and a centralized space to carry all this out
Great for organization and collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to really categorize all the tasks by project, team, and sub-tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can look a little overwhelming to new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Asana for various web design projects among several team members. I like that I could assign tasks to specific people to give everyone equal responsibility and satisfaction in completion. It's kept my remote teams organized and on top of things with mismatched schedules.
Super great for staying organized!
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Asana allowed us to track projects and to do lists for multiple employees in one space however the horizontal layout can be challenging at times.
What do you dislike about the product?
The horizontal layout can be challenging at times. I like to be able to see the big picture but the way
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana allows us to track multiple projects with teams. It's incredible to stay organized and on task while tracking live progress.
Asana is the app I use every day, all day.
What do you like best about the product?
Asana's app has completely changed how we get work done. The flexibility and power throughout the app allow us to cross-reference tasks across projects, track custom metadata, build reports via their powerful export and data sync functionality, and is lightweight enough to manage my day-to-day task list.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wielding the power of Asana as a new user can be overwhelming. It was sometimes difficult to understand when we should use tags versus metadata (Asana calls them Custom Fields), but I team stuck with it and figured out for ourselves what works best.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Asana to track, estimate, and keep records on sprint tasks. We moved from an archaic platform that didn't provide the functionality we needed. The old platform required us to perform a lot of manual work. Asana has converted the energy we wasted on manual task curation to focusing on the WORK rather than "the thing that tracks our work."
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Onboarding is the hardest part. Also be willing to experiment, but be thoughtful about the pros and cons of certain features. Some feature may not be for you, and it's okay to not utilize whatever you don't need.
Fast and getting better all the time
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is simple and flexible, with many ways to view tasks and progress, including on a calendar, board, list, or gantt-like timeline. It's very easy to quickly work through many tasks without leaving the keyboard. No doubt Asana will always be beautiful and and fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest challenge is finding a consistent workflow that your team can depend on over time.
The free feature set is nice enough, and it's great that they offer it for up to 15 users, but the for those small teams that need to plan even moderately complex projects, the leap to Premium or Business is substantial--$120/user/year is asking a lot for a single piece of software for a small team, especially billed annually.
Further, the product is evolving so much that features are often teased or released as free and then repackaged later as premium features.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We juggle many competing projects and deadlines, so it helps keep everything in one big picture, in a place we can talk about individual tasks as we go along. I prefer this workflow to Slack-like emphasis on chat/email, etc. Asana's prospects for time planning are getting better, but are a bit obfuscated right now.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Decide your workflow in advance and see if you can make Asana fit in a comfortable, natural way before deciding to switch.
Effective if you really keep up with it
What do you like best about the product?
It is very organized and easy to navigate and assign tasks to individuals working on a project.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how you have to pay for additional services such as flow charts and other useful tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me keep my projects organized and helps me reach out to team members with ease.
