    Marketing and Advertising

Confusing all around.

What do you like best about the product?
It's a good system to manage tasks, and it's nice that I can assign them to different people and get an update on their work. It's also nice that everything can be consistent between projects. You can also add multiple files to a task.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system is really confusing. First off, I wish there was a way to organize by client or project number, and I wish there was a way to have different task templates for different projects without having to make a copy of every task. Also, maybe I'm just using it wrong, but I can't seem to figure out how to assign a task to multiple people so they all get updated. The program isn't very self-explanatory, and we have huge documents at work to train us on how to use it. Most of the time people get confused and do it incorrectly and the rest of the team gets confused. It would also be nice to be able to set up reminders for recurring tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's definitely better than just sending a task request through email where it can get lost. It also gives us notifications when our project is finished so we can just go to our dropbox and start using it immediately.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I feel like it's a system that requires a lot of practice and adherence to protocol. Depending on your company's needs you'll have to come up with your own system.

Great project management tool

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is really responsive and has a lot of functionality for managing my team's day-to-day. There are a lot of different application that can connect with Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are sometimes some bugs when selecting due date times. Just a bit glitchy from time to time. While there are a lot of applications available in Asana, I wish some of the functionality was included (time tracking, capacity, gantt charts) natively in the platform. I don't want to pay for an additional service to do something this platform doesn't do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to effectively manage our workflow between departments.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use. I like the look and feel of the dashboards. I can have a daily e-mail reminding about tasks coming due or past due.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found any features thus far that I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently using it to help us with our accounting system implementation

Intuitive project management tool

What do you like best about the product?
It is structured in a way that makes sense and is quite intuitive. Even without going through the full tutorial I was able to set up a project with titles, subgroups and recurring tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its difficult to add people to conversations in projects. The project's scope seem to fit in the structure at this point but I wonder if it might be too simplistic for larger-scale longer-term projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently working through a global conference and the tool is great for thinking through all the details large and small. Its great to be able to use a system that appeals both to type-a and less detail-oriented employees.

A great webapp to let you organize multiple projects

What do you like best about the product?
Fluid web app, tasks with a due date, great calendar feature. One of the most appreciated things is that the free plan is very valuable, unlike many other online tools. The calendar export feature is also very useful to display all your tasks into your Google calendar. The new template and labels features are also well designed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is a bit slow at first launch (it takes approximatively 5 seconds to be fully loaded which is correct tough).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it mainly for project planning with my team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is a great tool providing a lot of features in the free plan. Premium plan is not so expensive and gives more flexibility in tasks organization (custom labels/fields, task dependencies).

Helpful tool for collaborating with business associates

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoyed being able to be on the same page about where we were at on various projects and being able to avoid duplicating one another's tasks. This made our communication much more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was more tedious than it needed to be to replicate and create new tasks. Also, the application interface could use an update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This application was used because my boss and I were working remotely in two different places. This app made our communication much easier and kept us on the same page. My boss could assign, complete, and tweak tasks via the app and I would be able to see an updated to-do list in real time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great tool for a small business, however, I'm unaware as to any alternatives offered which may be better.

Asana is user friendly and very flexible

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is extremely easy to use and very user friendly. I've used it for the last 4 or 5 years, and I've also tried a few other project management/task management apps. I've always come back to Asana. I love the fact that you can add sub tasks to regular tasks - that's a HUGE plus for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that you can't organize your tasks with anything other than 'Today', 'Upcoming', and 'Later'. I currently try and use 'sections' to organize my tasks a little better, but I'd love if I could sort of rename those 'Today', 'Upcoming' and 'Later' sections and add additional ones so I can collapse and hide tasks that I know I'm not currently going to be working on. I have a lot of other 'sections' I like to organize my tasks under, such as 'Design', 'Development', or 'Waiting on client', 'In Progress', 'Follow Up', etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana really helps team members stay organized and helps other team members know what's on a certain team member's plate. With traditional email, you have no way of knowing exactly how much a person has on their plate at any given moment. You also can't really get a sense of where exactly a project is. With Asana, you can have everything in one place and solve all of those problems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can use Asana for free at any time, so give it a try and see if you like it. I feel that with any type of task/project management system that's the only way you're going to know if it's going to work for you. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Good Product

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a good task management and communication tool for teams. It is great at helping teams collaborate on different projects while managing who can view and have input on them. It allows for great opportunities to give feedback and updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you have different teams it can be hard to track projects or rather being sure who are looking at the correct team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it with our communications team. They create graphic designs and other promotional products and marketing tools. This has allowed us to see how they are doing on projects, what needs to be started, and gives other a chance to provide input.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a great collaborative task manager with a clean and easy workflow this is the product for you!

Solid Project Management

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite feature is the ease of setting up multiple "Client Spaces" in Asana. I can easily switch to a new client space within seconds and see my entire project/task list. This is a great feature for freelancers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love the constant notifications (i know you can turn that off). I only use the web version right now and occasionally the app version. I think I would prefer a stand alone mac app like Slack has.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana definitely helps in getting things done. The tasks are clear with due dates, collaborators, and relevant assets attached. It really makes it easy to see what needs to be done and when to deliver it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a solid way to manage multiple clients, this is an amazing tool. I love the live switching of client spaces and being able to look at all my tasks and projects in a quick glance. Clients enjoy the accountability it brings to our relationship as well. It puts important assets and information out front and doesn't let it get lost in an email trail.

What do you like best about the product?
It is an excellent tool for productivity, to manage tasks. It also has an excellent interface and is very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It lacks more advanced tools to follow the tasks, besides having a global vision of what is being done in the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You currently have what I need, task assignment, deadlines, and split categories.
