I super love Asana for project management
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Asana when they were still new to the market. Asana makes project management as easy as one to three. The scheduling features and completion are so easy to use. You don't need to be tech savvy to use it in organizing your projects or business.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana is so perfect for me and I can't find a single flaw on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps you to track project completion, who's working on a certain tasks and what are the challenges to overcome to hit the deadline. Asana saves you time since you can manage all you projects and your team all in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You will never regret if you use this project management tool. It allows you to use list or boards like in Trello.
Looking positively forward to using the program
What do you like best about the product?
I like the functionality of the program. I will be utilizing it to help keep my small business organized between all three of our members, only in the future to allow us to grow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have barely utilized the program, it is still new to me
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization - We currently use Outlook for the two members - but need to open it up to all of us
Good idea for a shared-project management tool, but the nitty-gritty of the design needs improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very clear and it was very user-friendly to use. I also liked the various encouragements it gives out everytime you completed a task.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many people already have their own ways of managing their projects, and it was very difficult to make everyone forego what already works for them to all use the same interface. Also, for projects that are less clear-cut in nature, Asana was not able to accommodate the ambiguity and ever-changing tasks and deadlines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Program design, management, and delivery. I think Asana was good at letting others know what you're working on, granted that others are also using this platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Need to have the senior management be completely onboard, and give time for people to switch.
Easy online task manager and planner.
What do you like best about the product?
I use asana daily. I write down all the tasks I need to do and love how I can set it to be a reoccurring task so I never forget. I also love how others can join in for group projects and can assign tasks etc. I have many group assignments and it's wonderful how everything- all communication- can be in one spot. Nothing really falls through the cracks and makes it really simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
There hasn’t been anything as of yet that I have not liked. I haven't had any issues arise or anything that would make getting my work done harder.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m solving the chance of forgetting to do the little things. There are a lot of little things that go into my job and a lot of small tasks- so Asana helps keep track of all of that. Also, I’m solving the issue of being able to collaborate with others who don’t work in the same office as you. Around sixty percent of my work is a collaboration with someone else who doe does not work in my office. So, Asana creates the atmosphere online like we do work together.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You will never regret signing up with Asana. If you struggle with learning new databases and programs- Asana is very easy to use and there are tutorials to teach you if you still struggle.
Great collaborative "task management" solution
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great to perform "micromanagement" with a group of people working under same projects. The setup is quick as it doesn't require a bunch of configurations such as other more complex project management solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a great tool for task management but it keeps short to manage a project or product roadmap as the main "object" to introduce and manage through the platform are "tasks" that can only have a due date but no duration at all. It's also lacking some agile concepts for priorization as "size".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's working good for "micromanage" simple tasks of a group of more than 3 people that can get messed, missing things to do, deadlines. Allowing the team to meet important deadlines or arrange important tasks to perform to accomplish a project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a task management solution for a group of people between 3 and 10 people this is a right choice. However, If you think of Asana as a Product Management tool, discard the idea as you will be missing lot of elements that are necessary to perform a proper product management.
Asana is a great solution for small remote team management
What do you like best about the product?
Its easy to set up a new project and add tasks. You have control over users for each project. Easy to navigate between projects. Possible to add lots of details for each project and quick get status updates. The boards are quick to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Potentially for a bigger project it would be worth having more gantt type features without the weight of ms project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project planning, scheduling, delegation, status updating and issue mgmt. Saved time and stayed organized.
Great project management software
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is incredibly easy to use and set up. It has a lot of good features: I like that it gives you reminders, and allows you to check off tasks after you finished with them, and finally, to send draft docs to others within that task.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish that Asana had more connections to slack, and also had more project management features such as reporting and budgeting features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to keep all of our projects and communication transparent within the organization. It has helped the team to see what is due as a group.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its pretty simple and intuitive to use...
My life is changed
What do you like best about the product?
My productivity and organization is so much better. As long as tasks are added, nothing is slipping through the cracks. I also like that because I work in a job that runs on a cycle with the same projects every year, the ability to copy a project and adjust the timeline is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish that there was some way to get desktop notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now I know what everyone on my team is working on and it helps to make a more equitable distribution of tasks. We aren’t losing track of anything these days.
It's ok
What do you like best about the product?
I like Asana because it's reliable and I feel like it's a very versatile tool because all you need is a project and Asana has got your back. You can even use it outside of work for just to do lists and other plans you might have!
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like however is that I feel like it's half baked; there are a lot of obvious useful features that just aren't offered. For example copying a task is available online but not on the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it as our to ticketing system. It works well because we can submit an issue, and other people can comment and update what's been done or needs to be done and because it's highly customizable, we can add our own priorities, and other info. It gets the job done.
Helpful for scattered team
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it updates in real time for all users and that you can open and close tasks as needed, and search for closed tasks long after closing. My tasks are regularly completed and I can change them as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful if task reminders, such as a popup were an option, rather than emails which are really too much. It would also be nice if there were an inbox system where you could see each time you are mentioned /looped into a task. I would also like sub-tasks to be able to be reoccurring like regular tasks can be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to not duplicate work, keeps better communication with team members spread out working at different locations/remotely from home, and makes sure regularly performed tasks are actually done.
