Asana keeps me on track for large projects
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to set due dates and attach files. This lets me assign a task and give all the details and important information someone would need without ever needing to send in an email. I can also go back and track comments and progress all from one central location.I also think that it's helpful to be able to sub-sort by project and move specific tasks into projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I can't assign more a task to more than one person. I can add followers, but sometimes I need multiple people to complete the same task and would rather no have to duplicate the task to achieve this. I would also like to be able to add files that are specific to a project not just specific to a task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We focus on technology so we're solving problems related to our system, user experience, etc. Asana helps me keep track of my "wish list" enhancements for our site and assign the task of scoping those enhancements and communicating with our development team.

Great project collaboration tool

It would be helpful to have the ability to filter calendar view.

Ability to collaborate & have insight into all projects.

Ability to export calendar as PDF. Shareable link to view only calendar to non users.

What do you like best about the product?
I love Asana's task organanizer as it helps the team see what's everyone's working on and what needs to get done. It's super easy to delegate out
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the ease of use, I want it to be more user friendly like Apple Products. The dashboard needs to be more simple and straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems being solved are being. Able delegate work between a team and monitor what everyone is doing. Helps us remember what we have to do and remind us who is working on what/
Great PM tool for those on a budget
What do you like best about the product?
It's free for small start up teams or even departments that want to try it out before making the program a company wide initiative. Plus it's super easy to use and the UI is less confusing and janky than most. I also like how I can have a separate workspace for my company and a private workspace for home and personal tasks/projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd prefer an easier to use API and more integrations that are fluid within Asana instead of needing a third party application

Business problem of project management and the ability to assign tasks to individuals while still maintaining that sense of company wide accountability.

Asana is great, but if you have the money, teamwork projects is quite a bit better

What do you like best about the product?
We love Asana, and it's an amazing part of our work. Right now, we couldn't go back, that's for sure, we love it. It's a great mix of getting every team with their own tasks, plus cross-team tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I guess it'd be good to have an offline Mac app

We've definitely increased productivity across the board. Plus meetings are a lot quicker

What do you like best about the product?
I like the individual tasks, as this shows how swamped/not swamped other team members are. The report of tasks added to tasks completed also shows how productive the team is being. Additionally, Asana's email to task and Google Chrome extensions make getting tasks out of your email and into Asana super easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout needs to be cleaned up and focused. I also dislike how you can't drag & drop all tasks from one subtask to another. Further, I can see the benefits of one subtask "living" in two tasks and would love to see this added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used Asana when consulting with a client, and Asana was their company's primary task management tool. The client was in advertising business with 50-100 employees and Asana was being used across the entire organization. The tool was used for various types of problems, but as per my usage, it was for tracking activities related to data collection/processing, application development and IT systems administration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When you do implement Asana, there has to be one dedicated champion and a second level person to help keep the tool running smoothly. Just like a file system or a shared drive, if you don't monitor it, anything that you save to it will be hard to find and become useless.

Overall well designed product, easy to use and manage.

Not quite fitting our needs, we need the product focused on software development life cycles management

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is perfect for small-to-medium groups producing creative work. The notification and tagging features are critical to our team's success.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana lacks a native app, which is kind of a pain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana handles project management ably, but it's also replaced much of our interdepartmental email communication and has made Slack irrelevant.

I like the easy sharing and navigation of task (where I take notes of leads), and sub tasks (next steps).
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet, it's pretty easy to use and has everything I need so far.

Great and flexible for software project management
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility allows us to use the product for nearly anything, and the constant improvement is refreshing (custom fields were a game changer).
What do you dislike about the product?
There is some room for improvement in organization and hierarchy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for all of our software lifecycle management, from ideation to maintenance, and it ensures that everyone is always on the same page.
