Asana helps me get things done!

  • November 08, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is very user friendly and allows me to organize both my professional life as well as my personal life. It is so much more than a to-do list as most people think. Being able to plug every task at hand from either my computer, phone, tablet, or email makes this program crucial to my day-to-day operation. With tags and assigning tasks to other individuals within the company, everyone stays on tasks and knows what projects are going on.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is currently nothing that I dislike about Asana. It has all of the features I need and want, plus some!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps me to organize each project for each client, keep track of progress, make notes along the way, share tasks with others, and feel accomplished when I checked off a task I have completed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend Asana to any company. Whether large or small, Asana has the necessary tools to keep employees, projects, and the company on task.

Simple

  • November 08, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is simple to use and clear cut. You can narrow things down by team member, which makes delegating tasks very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't seem to have a lot of capabilities other than "to-do" lists. Maybe we just haven't gotten into it much, but it seems too simple sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Asana we delegate tasks to team members to make sure that we know who is responsible for what tasks. That way important and even small tasks do not fall through the cracks.

We have realized the benefits of keeping ourselves and our team members on task.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Research all products and see what fits you. Some have more reporting and are more geared towards sales, and some are more for in-house projects.

Asana project management

  • November 07, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana's design is intuitive and provides opportunity for maximum organization. I love the nesting feature where you can have sub task lists within larger projects. And you can assign different people each task or sub task!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features aren't so easy to find right away. I think subtask is one of them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project organization with multiple people. It's so helpful to have every task in one place. From emails to content projects to creative management, asana is flexible enough to work for any task.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This tool is made for marketing teams. We also use confluence, but actively fight using it because it's not designed with marketing functionality in mind. The key to Asana is to create a consistent use template so everyone on your team manages it in the same way. Your organization level is only as good as you are! Asana makes it so much easier.

Great Product for Small Teams

  • November 05, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate its project management design, and how it makes it easy to collaborate and set deadline between teammates. It allows for streamlined communication between project members. Asana also integrates with all our other apps (google docs, time tracking, slack), which makes dealing with workflow easier
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to specify resources for specific projects, for instance, uploading google docs to every task within the project. I also wish there to do list interface was better and easier to design. I also wish it made it easier to integrate non-full time stakeholders into the interface
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need for collaboration amongst teammates when managing projects. It has made communication easier, and made our workflow more efficient

Robust task management for teams

  • November 04, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to assign tasks, manage multiple teams, set deadlines, and add attachments to tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I prefer Trello for certain project management tasks (like an editorial calendar). Asana's tasks aren't as easy to duplicate (while keeping checklists intact.) Trello's more visual nature is better for certain things but Asana is fine for simple to do lists
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps us manage a remote team working on multiple projects and tasks ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.

Great for Project Timelines

  • November 04, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This product is great for creating and tracking multiple project timelines. The calendar view is very helpful to see upcoming due dates for the month. The ability to comment on various tasks, and tag co-workers is a great way to get rid of unnecessary email chains.
What do you dislike about the product?
For project managers, it is difficult to get an overview of an entire project (i.e. an event) - definitely better for tracking tasks associated with projects within that event (i.e. newsletter campaigns)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product makes it easier to communicate on specific tasks without having to track/compose lots of emails.

Asana team tasking

  • November 03, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it easy to add groups and assign users to each specific group. This is great because you can assign a task list to groups and then assign tasks to individual users. My favorite feature of Asana is the chat feature where you can post messages about the project progress and upload files that can be read and seen by everyone in the group.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free version only allows a certain number of users and group and upgrading to the first paid plan is quite pricey. Everything in asana can be done for free with certain programs and scripts, just makes it easier becaude its all built into one system. Not worth the price imho though
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company has had a long history of dailing to communicate and work with eachother when there is a project. Asana greatly eliminated this problem by creating a easy to use platform where everyone can chip in their share of work and share it with everyone involved in the project
