What do you dislike about the product?
Crowdin does not offers custom placeholder for normal account (not organisation). However open source project can get a free organisation license
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin greatly simplified the task of having to manually add langage file everytime a user brought me his translation on github.
Now everything can be done through crowdin. Adding new langage lines is also easier because it updates in every file.

Great once you figure out how it works
What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin is super user-friendly and makes managing translations easy. It’s great for collaborating with teams and keeping everyone on the same page. Plus, all the tools and integrations save so much time.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, Crowdin felt a bit tricky to figure out, and the learning curve was steeper than I expected. I am not part of the documentation team, so I had to learn how to use it by trial and error. Some of the features and workflows took a while to get used to. But once I got the hang of it, everything clicked, and it’s been smooth sailing since.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin helps streamline the translation process and keeps everything organized in one place. It made translating the UI to Korean more manageable and ensured consistency. This has been helpful in saving time and reducing effort.
I translate UI copies into Ukrainian while tech writing is my main responsibility.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that:
- it finds and suggests similar translated copies
- I can clear see what is translated and what is not
- I can see comments from other translators

What do you dislike about the product?
- no built-in functionality for the one/few/many/other case in UA localisation
- no synchronization with ZenDesk. My colleagues made some integration, so I don't need to manually add texts from ZenDesk. I still miss some integration features.
- no AI translations
- inconvinient way to add screenshots (no synchronization with Figma)
- I cannot see how my translation looks like in the design
- if I accidently start adding UA localisation to Chinese/French/etc. file, Crowding doesn't catch this. I'd like to see a warning.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Git integration using i18n is still hard to do when working with multiple branches
- I'd like a more automated process. I always send the strings for the same company to translate and always the same languages, but I still have to select it manually every time

Our games are localized through crowdin
Complexities with integrations
What do you like best about the product?
What i found most convenient was the editing tool that would navigate from string to string and the ease of including a machine translation option. The CSM that deals with helping our team was also quick to help and get things sorted in terms of needing another project and explaining how the setup would work.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were a lot of complexities when it came to integrating with certain tools (like paligo). Publishing didn't always transfer the files between the software seamlessly and the same would happen with importing the docs. There's a limited amount of file types accepted and in the editing tool because of how the pages of strings would refresh after each string, sometimes strings at the start of page one go missed and untranslated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Initailly I used it to generate translated versions for a handful of documents that we wanted to house in an alternative language. It was great for the initial trail and to see how viable it would be to have a multilingual help center.
Easy to use and consistent
What do you like best about the product?
Overall Crowdin has been easy for me to use. I can find what I'm looking for quickly and consitently. Our customers are also able to submit tranlsations easily to us through crowdin. their support team also tends to respond quickly to issues you have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally we see issues with the filters, like translations that have already been approved still show up under the "translated not approved" filter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We provide software globally, to many different languages, however most of our development team is in the US (and mostly english speaking). Crowdin allows us to receive translations for our site, from our customers or a translation service, and upload those quickly to the database, so our customers can understand and use our software better.
Great tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the tool covers all my needs related to the managing translations. It supports a wide range of file formats, versioning (like branches in git). It has a flexible workflow, that offers a lot of tools but not requiring to use all of them.
So I have nothing to wish more.

What do you dislike about the product?
I'm afraid I have nothing to mention here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Crowdin to syncronize translations of my product.
Competitive features at good price
What do you like best about the product?
In addition to my previous response, I think the improvement since then has been on the UI end. User experience has been tweaked a bit to make things more understandable and easier to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe crowdin still needs to improve on the translation workflow flexibility. They seem rigid and having branching capabilities will make it easier to maintain.
Also, the CAT tool needs to be consistent with quality score generation.
