Regional Sales Manager

What do you like best about the product?
The speed of answers from a support team is the most important part for me about Crowdin. Additionally, we can create a system for our entire translation process and include all types of files, even markdown files, which we haven’t seen in other similar companies.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some issues with Translation Memory and integrations, which cause problems with the final translation result. For example, such problems can occur with parts of technical documentation that contain code examples.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps to manage the whole process of translation with differents types of materials. And thanks to a GitHub integration, it helps to make the whole process faster and smoothier.

Providing an amazing service for our open source project

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of the command line interface means we can integrate across multiple projects and automate things to work in our very custom workflow.

Onboarding new translators has been very easy. We switched from using a custom google docs based system and crowdin has been nothing short of exemplary.
What do you dislike about the product?
The project management interface can be quite overwhelming since there are a lot of different ways to navigate things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a large community of translators that help localise our (free) game. Crowdin allows this process to happen with minimal management.

What do you like best about the product?
One of the standout features of is its user-friendly interface. Navigating the platform is intuitive, even for those with limited technical expertise. Editor is the main place where project members can suggest translations and the dashboard provides an overview of ongoing localization projects, making it easy to track progress and manage workflows. With its clean design and well-organized menus, the platform ensures efficient collaboration among project stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Aproval workflow and many clicks i have to go through
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy translation to local language witch is essential for use at a government office. As a online tool its accesible and fairly easy to use without any special skill.

Initial struggles to

What do you like best about the product?
The folks at Crowdin are very friendly and always try to help.
The solutions they have and the hacks they come up with to solve a particular problem are pretty impressive.
Support is very prompt. You get an instant response on chat.
If there's one thing thats the best - it's Andriy - their head of customer support. He's ever willing to jump on a call and help sort out issues. And we have had a ton!
What do you dislike about the product?
Not the most easy to use tool. There are several ways to do the same thing. And this is confusing. Needs a lot more usability testing.
There's no context available to the translator.
We use a lot of screenshots (our content is technical). When it is pulled in through an integration, there's a lot of breakage! There's also no context. Only the string is pulled in and the translator doesn't see the screenshot. This makes the entire translation less than useful.
The support team try their best to help, and are very prompt. They do take pains to send screen recordings when something is not clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A single platform to manage translation.

Simple but good translation tool

  • August 14, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin's simple but intuitive interface makes it easy to translate languages and export them for your project. Especially the screenshots help a lot to show the community what needs to be translated.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, the automatically generated translations from Crodwin are mostly useless. It would be best to use tools like DeepL instead of Google.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to easily have newly developed strings translated by the community.

All-in-one translation platform

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin gives multiple machine translation options, including a free in-house one. It is one of the few services that offers free plans for open-source projects and it gives almost all a user wants when editing and adding translations: keyboard shortcuts, good editor UI, ...
What do you dislike about the product?
The editor sometimes is a bit slow when saving translations and auto-translated strings are not always responsive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Software translations

What do you like best about the product?
Crodwin has been the most stable platform for community translations, it's been more than three years and I've never had issues with the website.
What do you dislike about the product?
Crowdin improved the "keep me logged in" feature and keeps you logged in for a couple of weeks, but not for months.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me have a team of translators that can help me keep my website translated, and not me having to manually translate everything.

Great for string-based translation, not so for prose-based translation

  • August 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin has, from my experiences with web-based translation tools, the most attractive and easy to use user interface for translating strings. It works especially well for smaller strings, such as descriptions for fields, buttons and the like, seen in e.g. clients for web pages or even some videogames.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say Crowdin is not suitable for usage on longer prose text pieces (such as documentation pages) that don't consist of independent strings, but are one whole text. While it does work initially, the reason for this is that changes to the source text will result in inaccurate mapping of previous translation to new source text, resulting in a need to fix up every translation made to suit the changed source text.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through Crowdin, I'm able to translate and manage translations of website projects into various different languages from a single source language.
