It just works
What do you like best about the product?
The support team is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. I typically get a response within the hour and my issue is resolved on first contact. I put in an incident on a Saturday requesting a callback and the call came through shortly after. Fantastic
What do you dislike about the product?
You cannot purchase directly from Rhombus. You have to purchase through a partner even if you are doing the install yourself. The partner you order through is not responsible for software support or RMA of defective units. I would like the option to order direct and save myself the partner's markup
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We ran Blue Iris and it was terrible. Rhombus has been a "set it and forget it" solution that does not create on-call incidents where the NVR is offline because the software decided to unlicense itself
Rhombus Camera Systems
What do you like best about the product?
Installing the cameras is very easy. Configuration of each camera is also very easy. Our end-users are able to use the dashboard on the web and navigate cameras with very little, to no training.
What do you dislike about the product?
No dedicated Windows application. No permanent text overlays for video walls. Not major issues, and Rhombus will hopefully implement these changes in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rhombus allows us to deploy cameras quickly and is very easy for our end users to navigate and export their own videos without submitting a help desk ticket. We like the variety of cameras they offer and the retention.

Very quick response - was set up in 20 min after camera arrived.

Highly Functional Security, Installation Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Rhombus is its impressive functionality. The security cameras offer high-quality video surveillance, providing clear, detailed footage that significantly enhances our company's security measures. I also really appreciate their mobile app access.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Rhombus Systems offers a robust and effective security solution, the installation process can be cumbersome. Setting up the cameras and integrating them into our existing system proved more challenging than anticipated. Despite this drawback, the overall performance of the Rhombus system is commendable. Rhombus Systems is addressing several key security concerns for our company. Firstly, it provides high-quality surveillance, ensuring our premises are constantly monitored. This has significantly reduced the risk of security breaches, giving us peace of mind.
Secondly, the real-time alerts and analytics feature allows us to identify and respond to potential threats promptly. This proactive approach to security management has proven to be highly effective, preventing minor issues from escalating into major problems.

Cloud only but performs well.
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to share, access and use the remote view, the real time live is very fast for a cloud video feed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's cloud only with no way to enable onvif/rtsp from the cameras, forcing you into the rhombus platform with no way out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It lets us watch the lift from our desk or phone
It has worked out well as a security camera
What do you like best about the product?
It supports 2FA for login, and has good picture quality. I have one of their 1st camera's, a Model R1 that I got in 2018.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has good human and vehicle recognition but sometimes misses or has false alerts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us detect human motion, as some of our older camera's can't.
Just connect it, and it works!

We like the "hands off" approach of being able to correctly wire the cameras into the network, then simply connecting and adding a camera to the account.

No problems so far. Just have to renew subscriptions, but in our case, that is on the customer!

Security issues around the facility. We need to review the video once an incident has occurred.
Love Rhombus - Support is great

I hate you have to go through a reseller or dealer to buy their equipment - I wish I could just buy online and just activate the license on dashboard
I hate that Rhombus list the recommended price for their products and licenses and the dealers have the right to jack up the price and charge what they want.
If I could change anything I would change having to go through a 3rd party...why does Rhombus have a sales team If I cant buy from them.
