New Work Essential
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Zoom is the ability to collaborate effortlessly with teammates who are now working on a hybrid work schedule, which I'm sure we've all seen an uptick in within the past couple of years. I think during this transition over the past two years, one of the functions I picked up from a meeting I was a participant in was the ability to be able to mark the screen when screen-sharing like a 'whiteboard' which gives additional collaborative powers right within the same app. The recording feature has also been a lifesaver for meetings that have a plethora of important details you'd need to go back to reference.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure I've noticed many downsides to Zoom, I think most of the issues are related to WiFi connectivity, user errors, or other outside factors from what I've seen. Off the top of my head, I cannot think of a time where I was frustrated with the app itself. I do think their customer service could be better, as our company did have a difficult time getting a hold of one representative to handle our case regarding transferring licenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned in what I like best, Zoom is helping to solve collaboration. With the new age of working, there are a greater number of collaborators that are now not "in-office" to collaborate with them face-to-face. This app solves that with the ability to communicate effectively through multiple avenues (chat, video, audio, screensharing).
Light Bandwidth. Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
So far Zoom seems to be the lightest video conferencing software that I've used. For people with marginal or heavily loaded connections, this means that I can stay on Zoom and still have bandwidth left over for other tasks. For me, I also appreciate the call-in option so that I can have uninterrupted audio via a land line, even when my internet connection seems flaky. The basic controls are also easy to learn - important for including my non-tech-savvy parents.
Since I work remotely I also appreciate the background options to hide distractions. I don't have to worry about whether the room is cleaned up or someone left the closet door open, or even wondering if clients will ask me about my location when the backgrounds are enabled.
As far as I'm concerned, Zoom is my go-to online meeting tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
The interface seems to be slightly different on different devices. I'm sure this is to optimize the display on multiple devices but can make it difficult when trying to explain to someone else how to do something within the video conferencing tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in a rural area with marginal internet connectivity. With the light bandwidth requirements and dial-in options, my video meetings with co-workers and clients is basically seamless. This hasn't been my experience with other video conferencing options.
Reliable calls with a few quirks in the advanced features
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom has been incredibly reliable for business video calls every day for the past 18 months. I teach singing over the internet, and the "original audio" feature has been perfect for the detailed sound I need to do my job well. I also appreciate the extensive integrations available that make scheduling a breeze (Calendly).
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lack of customization for recorded calls. I use 3rd party software to record to have more options around screen composition and audio levels.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My business needs reliable, high-quality video and detailed audio to exist. Zoom has given me the ability to coach clients from Australia to Germany and all across the USA and Canada as though there are in the room with me.
Staying Connected while Far Away
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to be in constant touch with my coworkers, hold meetings without having to travel, and collaborate across the team! I love sharing my screen, I love the chat feature and the recording!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the quality of the calls can be lower quality than I would like. Also not being able to transfer hosts and still record is hard!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working across states and being able to continue to build culture and connect.
Zoom makes collaboration easier
What do you like best about the product?
I think the fact that zoom runs more dmo
What do you dislike about the product?
It got than any other video conference platforms on all the devices I need whether it's my desktop, laptop, iOS device or via my work's VDI interface. Zoom just works. Other platforms are very processor intensive and simply buggy.
I trust zoom more than any of their competitors and they are constantly improving the software reliability and experience. I appreciate that!

Zoom has made our meetings more accessible
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom meetings Has opened up to a larger geographical area and to persons who were unable to attend in person meeting because of disability issues. It is easy to set up a meeting and share links with those required to attend.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't know that for our purposes that there are any downsides. Maybe it's because our society needs are not that complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because of COVID-19 we had to stop having in person meetings. Zoom stepped in to fill the need and we were able to keep all of our services functioning online. Since we are a charity and not a business organization we are not requiring to make or increase any profits with zoom. It is mainly to keep in contact with the people we serve.
Zoom is easy to use for my team, and anyone we want to meet with
What do you like best about the product?
The scheduling feature is very easy to use, and integrating it with Calendly and my Google calendar makes it easy to schedule and keep track of my meetings. I like the whiteboard function as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is limited cloud storage without additional fee. I can keep recordings stored on my hard drive, however.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom allows me to meet remotely with my team, and clarify communication.
Zoom kept my improv team fresh
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is the go-to for easy-to-use-and-manage and affordable meeting apps. My improv team depended on it for the entirety of the pandemic. We enjoy it so much that we go back to it, even though we can now meet in person, because it's very convenient. Also, even though folks might think online arts presentations are not ideal, we learned how to make use of our screen space to great effect, and I also took an acting class for the Zoom screen across the miles. It really is a thing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the app for iPhone for this use, as only 4 max people can be in gallery view. Not great if you need to see everyone at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is bringing better connectivity and community across the miles for many creative uses. We were able to stay fresh in our art when stages were closed down.
I like Zoom because of its high reliability, even though it takes awhile to work out the kinks.
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Zoom is that I know my clients will be able to clearly see and hear me and will be able to comment on my ideas so we can have a true sharing of concepts. I also know that even if there is a storm or some other technical problem, Zoom will do its best to create a videorecording even if it takes a second or third try to get it to be saved properly for future viewing. In general everything tends to run smoothly more than 95% of the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that when I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 I had to spend over an hour tweaking my Zoom settings so it would work properly. Probably the software developers should do a better job anticipating these kinds of upgrades and similar issues. Zoom can also be confusing for less-experienced users who will keep making the same mistakes over and over again because Zoom assumes too much knowledge about how to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom has resolved the problem about reaching about sixty people who want to hear and see me twice each week. I have been so pleased with it that instead of just two weekly business meetings for my company, I host two additional Zoom meetings for my writing group and a religious organization. This makes a total of four Zoom meetings per week where I am the organizer. I often join other meetings such as foreign-language discussion where someone else is hosting.
Solid Platform with Wide Industry Adoption
What do you like best about the product?
I like that everyone uses Zoom, so I don't have to worry about someone not having it downloaded or not knowing how to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have experienced lots of issues with the Zoom client not opening. Everything is downloaded appropriately and updated to the latest version, but nothing happens when I try to join a meeting. I have figured out that uninstalling and reinstalling my CAMERA DRIVER will solve this problem, but I'm not sure why that has anything to do with the Zoom client failing to open.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves all the problems that every other video conferencing platform solves. It provides me a way to interact face-to-face with colleagues when we are not physically together.
