Best UI/UX and Ubiquitous Video Conferncing Software
What do you like best about the product?
Throughout the course of this remote work era, I've had principal experience with a few different video conferencing software including Zoom, Ring Central, Teams, and 8x8. By far, Zoom is the best because of the familiarity that not only my team and external attendees have with Zoom. Zoom is the most intuitive and from my experience, has the best performance for calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike about Zoom. Seldom do I or any of my team members have any issues with our Zoom meetings. This cannot be said about my prior experience with other software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom allows me and my team members to have virtual meetings with anyone around the world. While this is not unique to Zoom (I could theoretically obtain this through other providers), Zoom is the easiest because of its simplicity as well as its ubiquity amongst our global stakeholders.
Super easy and high-quality video meeting service
What do you like best about the product?
It has the functionality that I need including things like recording, sharing and seeing participants.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be too technical sometimes. There are often too many things that have to be done in order to get into the meeting and to have a good meeting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the ability to have a good meeting with someone who is far away without having to travel or come up with some other kind of creative solution.
Zoom is a great way to connect both internally and externally in my organization.
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part of Zoom is how easy it is to set up. When setting up meetings with older contacts, the user-friendly nature of Zoom is incredibly useful when walking them through the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
My least favorite part about Zoom is how easily affected by wifi fluctuations it can be. While turning off the camera can help stabilize the connection, it still seems to be internet-intensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is solving the difficulties in connecting that come with remote work. Whether a monthly board meeting or setting up a meeting with clients, Zoom is universal and an excellent alternative to phone calls.
Easy to use and communicate virtually
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, there is a way for any person (technically inclined or not) to access Zoom.
What do you dislike about the product?
People talking over one another, the raised hand feature is nice but there should be more options especially with larger groups, maybe a queue of speakers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meeting with people virtually as most of our company has moved to a hybrid workspace. It has made communication lightyears better.
Makes work and personal life easier
What do you like best about the product?
The interface of Zoom is incredibly easy to use for video chatting and screen sharing. I enjoy being able to easily share my screen so others I am collaborating with can see what I am.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the chat feature were a bit more robust. Sometimes it is hard to manage a chat, especially if many different people are all actively trying to talk at the same time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom creates an easy, intuitive way for people to meet and work together remotely while still feeling a sense of connection that can be missed when meeting virtually.
Great way to conduct business virtually
What do you like best about the product?
have face to face interactions from the comfort of the office or home.
What do you dislike about the product?
Often has last minute updates required as you are trying to login to a meeting
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Am able to be more efficient due to no travel time between meetings and reaching a broader clientele.
There's a reason it's become a verb
What do you like best about the product?
There are more sophisticated features at the lower levels that work well for a variety of use cases. I've used it for webinars, one-off meetings with coworkers, and sales calls. Screensharing works well and does enough to prevent embarrassing situations and its easy to control security settings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scheduling can be funky- I've had users tell me that they can't join, or it's confusing to join, or that the invite is unclear. Otherwise, it's pretty solid. For a new user the vast functionality might be confusing. It can also be confusing to differentiate between tiers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While we are less remote than other companies, our biggest Zoom use case has been facilitating client communications with each other. Getting multiple users from around the country in the same place in an organized way can be challenging but Zoom works great, and feels slightly more sophisticated/legit than just hopping on a Google hangout.
It Just Works
What do you like best about the product?
I have to use several competitors to Zoom depending on the host. But with Zoom, nobody ever has problems. It's easy to use. The video and audio always works. It just works!
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislikes come to mind................
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom solves the need for video conferencing. It's replaced conference calls.
Best video conferencing option out there.
What do you like best about the product?
Compared to peers, I find Zoom to:
1. Have better support for green screens than other platforms.
2. Have more mature & stable break out rooms
3. More and stable updates, the platform seems like it's evolving quickly.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some companies mandate using other solutions, which is unfortunate when I'm a zoom customer because of how I've optimized my setup for Zoom.
Because I use a green screen all the time, and support on other platforms for green screens is so poor, I find that my background is much less compelling when the green screen is down vs when it's up.
While I haven't used them myself, my understanding from other developers is that the Zoom Application Platform is very bad and you should avoid it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Video conferencing, both 1:1 and when delivering workshop presentations.
It has been great!
What do you like best about the product?
Convenience of being able to pivot from An in person meeting to a video call due to a number of circumstances that can arise. Being able to do so quickly!
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue I have seen is user confusion on how to login.

Well the pandemic definitely helped us pivot our meetings when we couldn't do in person. It's helped us become better at hosting these types of meetings. It has helped me be able to spend more time with my family by eliminating lengthy commutes. Feels more professional and a FaceTime call.
