Zoom Clarity
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the rate structure. I utilize the monthly membership & at times do a-La-Carte rates for webinar usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since videos are often utilized later for on-demand purposes, it would be great to have a partnered video-editing sw along with ability and post to YouTube.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me stay connected through meetings, as well as being able to teach and lead workshops virtually; screen layout and intuitive navigation support this.
Fully functional and full of features
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is easy to use, even if it's your first time using it. Having a free tier is great for most personal use (40 min time limit), but the paid tiers are worth the money as well. It's easy to keep track of recurring meetings you've connected to in the past.
What do you dislike about the product?
All things considered, there aren't many negatives to Zoom. Previous security issues have all been addressed, and video quality is nice and smooth. My only current complaint is that, when screen sharing on a second monitor that others can see locally, there's no way to specify where notifications appear when someone enters the waiting room. It's a very specific complaint, but it does affect a presentation when sharing media.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom quickly and seemlessly helps brings team members together, despite us being located in 3 different parts of the country. And it allows us to record important meetings that can then be shared with others who weren't able to attend.
Zoom is a must for my business.
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly for those that are not technically savvy. Reliable, I utilize the waiting room, screenshare and whiteboard often.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I have to log back in frequently but I understand that is more of a browser thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote business, able to meet with clients face to face and team members whether locally or across the country. Helping me grow my business while still having a personal connection with people!
Team Leader
What do you like best about the product?
We use the chat feature in nearly every zoom. The ability to live stream into a facebook group is very powerful! Also, utilize the 'spotlight' feature frequently so we can highlight our featured trainer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there is not much that I dislike. I am a big fan and supporter of zoom. I mostly use on my computer and ipad, I rarely use the mobile phone app, but don't love it as much. It's purely because screen space is limited, but I don't like that I have to swipe to see the guests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connection! My team is located all across the US so we were using zoom a lot before Covid, but it's become even more critical to our productivity and collaboration since Covid.
Best Conference Software
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is very simple to use and has many guides to help you learn it. It allows you to have a secure and robust communication system, even when we are in different countries.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to critique anything, it would be the storage and some of the costs. As a software engineer, I feel that storage can be expanded and the cost shouldn't be too exponential. Also, webinars and meetings with more than 100 people are a bit pricey.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom allows me to conduct business and attend session I may not have been able to before. It also allows communication and effective collaboration amongst teams across the world.
Zoom is an excellent product to increase efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
It's so easy to use. You can get as many people as you need on the call and easily communicate with all of them. Screenshare works well to keep everyone on the same page. Whiteboards help to increase everyone's ability to share and stay together on a task.
What do you dislike about the product?
None. I have not had any issues with zoom.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having everyone together even though they are in different areas of the country is essential.
Use at work, use at home
What do you like best about the product?
We like using Zoom at work to make committee meetings more convenient. With Zoom we've eliminated a lot of excuses for not attending. I've also found Zoom good for family meetings, especially for those who don't have access to Facetime.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we need to reschedule a meeting we sometimes confuse attendees with a new link. If it's possible to reschedule with the original link, we've not figured out how.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lack of attendance at meetings was a problem before Zoom. But now employees and committee members can log in wherever they are. We benefit from more participation.
Makes hours of commuting a thing of the past
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is a fantastic way to avoid traveling for meetings that need to happen, but not necessarily in person. I live in a large city where commuting times are long under the best of circumstances -- a 10-mile trip can take a full hour -- and Zoom has eliminated my need to drive or take the train to SO many work meetings. I feel like I have added 5 years back to my life by using Zoom. And it's easy to do -- no complicated computer skills are necessary. The next best thing to being there.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not really any downsides that are significant. Some minor ones -- you have to be near a strong WiFi signal and the program does seem to drain the battery pretty significantly -- and if there are more than say,10 people on a conference call, that can start to feel like a video lecture -- but overall it's a really great product and very useful. I would say the "sweet spot" for size is 4-6, with 8 being about the max where I feel that the meeting has been productive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily commuting time -- traffic in the city where I live is monstrously bad -- hours and hours can be spent each week driving to meetings that really don't deserve that type of time. Zoom has allowed me to meet with staff in a way that feel more personal, and where all of our time is respected and honored.
Awesome zoom experience
What do you like best about the product?
Its very easy to schedule meetings and share the meeting link on zoom and I love the share screen, whiteboard and chat functionality on zoom. I have used google before, zoom beets google hands down.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that the free version only last 40 minutes. I would love it to last a longer time. if it could be twice the time allocated for the free version, I think people will love it more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I teach children bible study from all over USA on zoom and my husband also teaches keyboard lessons via zoom. It helps us connect to all of them all over the country an the same time, making distance not to be a barrier for us. I practically take lessons via the paid version on school with my teacher who resides on another continent. All these would not have been possible without zoom. During the pandemic my ministry in church used zoom for our ministry meetings, despite the fact we were locked up at home because of Covid, we still got together and continued our Christian worship.
School Based Services
What do you like best about the product?
I love how I can give control of my computer or request control of a student's computer. I teach students and assistants that aren't the most tech-savvy, so that feature allows me to easily troubleshoot activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free version used to allow 1:1 video conferencing for free over 40 minutes and only paying for 3 or more participants. It's frustrating that I have to get a paid account to video chat for an hour with only one person.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a fully virtual teacher. Other video conferencing platforms are not as user-friendly as Zoom. Also, it is easy for me to send a link to those with little experience and easily connect with them.
