Cloud Security Posture with ease
What do you like best about the product?
Lacework offers a lot of tools that one would otherwise employ a stack of different softwares. It massivly helps our organisation to handle infrastructural threat intelligence, Cloud Security Posture, Cloud Compliance and Security Asset Management.
Their support is very service oriented and always in best interest of the customer

What do you dislike about the product?
The false positives often requires manual rework. Also there are some features like Jira integration missing that would be desireable. But the Software is always improving and new features are coming all the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lacework is our solution for CSPM, continous development in a secure manner, enforcing a shift left policy for infrastructure as well as cloud and container security

What do you like best about the product?
1. We have moved to Lacework from Prisma Cloud mainly to reduce the cost.
2. It uses machine learning and behavioural analytics to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities and provides real-time alerts to security teams

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Lacework focuses more on workload protection, whereas Prisma Cloud provides a broader range of security features, including cloud security posture management and compliance monitoring.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lacework is a comprehensive cloud security platform that provides threat detection, compliance monitoring, and workload protection for public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. It uses machine learning and behavioural analytics to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities and provides real-time alerts to security teams. Lacework offers a wide range of features, including vulnerability scanning, file integrity monitoring, runtime application security, and compliance monitoring for various industry regulations. The platform is easy to set up and use, with an intuitive user interface and automated workflows. Lacework provides robust security for cloud environments with minimal manual intervention required from security teams.
It’s like having a real polygraph
What do you like best about the product?
The lacework polygraph let's us know proactively whenever somethint happens that doesn't happen normally. We have identified our cloud billing provider intermediary accesssing our VPCs by username and location in the world within seconds of it occurring for instance.
This sort of insight on outliers gaining access to your private internal cloud networks is critical to identify and contain breaches. I wish this technology existed in 2009 when I worked for an MSP hacker by a Chinese military state actor.
I'm confident that polygraph can reuse the cost of beeches like this by many degrees.

What do you dislike about the product?
I've not found major downsides to the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Intrusion detection. We haven't had an intrusion yet. But we have identified suspicious traffic and know what to follow up on.
Wonderful product, wonderful support
What do you like best about the product?
Lacework really gives their all in implementation, support, and everything else. Their service has helped us gain visibility we'd never experienced before on our cloud environment and they gave us wonderful recommendations on how to bring our security to the next level.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features we needed were not available on our initial setup. A majority of these have been addressed however, and it's really awesome to see our feature requests being implemented!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to starting, we didn't have very much visibility into our cloud environment. This made security audits a bit daunting. Lacework has made security reviews easier and made us more proactive with security measures.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the Machine learning to reduce noise and I like the context or topology that it gives us after an alert.
Implementation time is very short and easy. It is a new generation of Security tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
It probably does a lot of work to replace the SOC but at the end, there will still be a bit of work for that. It is so powerful that it will take us time to learn it more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly to not hire a SOC but I does bring us up to good maturity with minimum effort. I can't see how we would have done this otherwise with that speed. We still need a SIEM.

It would be good to integrate it with a threat perspective. This could help prioritize the alerts and give context about their severity.

Vulnerability assessment, Compliance monitoring, Threat detection and response features are instrumental in securing the organization.

Lacework is solving and benefiting by features like Ease of deployment, Vulnerability & Compliance scanning and Easy to use UI

What do you like best about the product?
The machine learning system and detection by utilising the telemetry data. Reduces False negative and provide comprehensive auditing to improve the security posture.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a bit longer to learn about the environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud security monitoring by analysing the user activities over time. Moreover, Cloud Compliance findings add more value to overcome gaps and vulnerabilities quickly.
Lacework disappears - this a GREAT thing
What do you like best about the product?
The time to value was the fastest out of any product that I've had to implement. Not only that but once installed it learned and improved so we don't have to sit around writing security rules
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it did better at SOC reports. It is better than what we had and saves us some time but there is room for improvement here. Other than that, Lacework well, just works....
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our security and compliance is being solved by Lacework. It is also preventing a problem by the way it works. I don't have to hire a security team to write security rules.
