Great Team Workspace

What do you like best about the product?
We are nine teams working for the same goal, thanks to confluence to let us manage all paperwork all sections together and aligned
What do you dislike about the product?
There is one thing i have problem with Confluence, the full text search is not properly constructed. There is too many unrelated search result I've seen after search

We could manage project documentation with nine teams

Confluence for a tech startup

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is great for helping our company maintain all documentation, standard procedures, etc. We have a lot of different technologies that we use, so it is great to keep everyone on the same page and house all of these standards. It is also very integrated with Jira, which we use heavily, so it comes in handy for the knowledge base from Jira bugs, retrospectives, release processes, etc. We can keep all of this up to date and organized with confluence.
What do you dislike about the product?
The web app has a tendency to be quite slow, which makes it frustrating during retrospectives, etc. I wish the web app was faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to consolidate different individual's knowledge into one central area. Prior to confluence, our standard procedures were scattered in different team members' notes, files, etc. This would make it frustrating and inefficient for other team members to perform tasks if they had to reference notes, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that confluence is a central location for documents to be accessed by anyone in the organization. The template feature is also useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the formatting in the Confluence pages is limited or not working as expected, especially with tables.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence as a central location for our project status reports and a central location for knowledge articles grouped by application. The benefit of having it in Confluence is so that documents or articles can be shared enterprise-wide, anyone can access it without requesting permission, and the ability to search.

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence has been used by our large organization for several years now.We have several IT and software development teams dispersed in the U.S. and abroad and having such a powerful tool where all information is centrally stored and easily maintained has been invaluable for our company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Advanced features are not always intuitive and easily discoverable which results in a slight learning curve for more complex aspects of the product, which is to be expected. Also, text formatting does not always behave as users may be accustomed to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence has proven to be an excellent tool for effectively documenting, collaborating on, and communicating processes, product designs and requirements, and various information for our organization. I also love the ease of quickly creating and organizing shared documents the Confluence offers.

Great knowledge base and wiki SaaS

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is one of the popular web-based, Software as a Service applications for knowledge base and wiki.

It is good for both personal or enterprise use. It provides many templates such as how-to article, annual plan, Brainstorming, decision etc. It has very powerful search capability, which makes the whole application very useful. It is also tightly integrated with other Atlassian tools such as Jira.
What do you dislike about the product?
The export can only export as word or PDF. It would be great if it can also export as markdown. Also the code blocks are not well aligned if you use bullet points or numbered list and want to make the code blocks part of that bullet point level. The picture display has resolution issues which show downgraded resolution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use confluence for my personal knowledge base and wiki and also use it for work. It is very handy if you want to write something and constantly accumulate your personal knowledge on technologies and beyond. Currently github also provides public or private wiki pages based on markdown languages and free, however, there is no comprehensive search functions so unless you can remember what you wrote and where your wrote, it is hard to find exact what you want. With confluence, you can search by tags or by text and don't need to remember any documents structure

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is the place where all documentation is available to anyone in the team at any time. The best way not to bother your colleagues is to check confluence for information that you need to get the job done. Feed is very useful for a quick look at the latest news and updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of files attached in confluence and from time to time review can be difficult. Slow or blury so you need to download the files for proper review.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence is the best tool for adding all configurations, files, and necessary tools that you need to have for doing your job on a daily basis.

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is one of the best ways I've found to store helpful company information, especially when someone is new to work having an application to learn more and where seasoned employees can easily document information to save time and prevent information silos.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the search engine feature of confluence can not be accurate to what I want. even though I know the keywords I'm typing in are in the article I want, it still might not show up, making it harder to find the exact article that would be the most useful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence is very beneficial, and I recommend every company invest in it. With confluence it is so much easier to access information and also document information for employees.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely consider it might take a while to document previous information but it will help the company in the long run

Great Product that is a Must Have

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a great tool to help companies have a centralized knowledge base of resources. I really like the way it can be integrated with other software like JIRA or other tools related to it in Atlassian. The whole lineup of products can make collaboration, software development, and resource documentation a breeze. I do like the online resources available to users being able to find what they need to collaborate on the platform. I really like the overall visual aesthetics of the platform as well. Really user-friendly (at times) and very bright vibrant displays that help guide the user through the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
This was hard for me to come up with. I really do like this software as a whole and there is very little I would change to make it better. I found that sometimes the platform can be cumbersome and not very easy to gain access to pages that are blocked. Maybe they could have a prompt or some type of process to gain access to certain pages easier? I think they could have a little better help sections that allow users to be able to complete things quicker. Maybe have some self-help prompts for inputting charts, graphs, etc. that can make the creation of pages easier? Either way, there is not much I would change because this is still a great platform and product to utilize for software development teams or any teams that need to store easily accessible documentation for training or knowledge base purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No more having to send email attachments or add them to the meeting invite. Now, we can send a link or directly message the path to get to the material needed. When you pair this with JIRA, you can link a specific issue you are working on with an entire synopsis of the root issue as a whole.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend Confluence for software teams. Being able to link to Jira along with other Atlassian tools is a must. It is also a great tool to utilize on a client-facing team that needs resources in a centralized location.

What do you like best about the product?
The light-feeling application interface. It gives an impression of writing on a piece of paper itself. The various typing format, features along with additional features such as code blocks, monospace for writing some pieces of code in the confluence page really helps me and my team since we work in the computer software and programming domain.
What do you dislike about the product?
Indentation at during certain while typing - the bullet numbering can get messed up due to indentation, especially if the prior bullet contains inline images. Many a times it has happened that while writing some detailed steps for some action, we have to attach screenshots and images of certain steps. At that point though, the image addition for the current bullet causes the next bullet numbering to be reset (usually back to 1) instead of still incrementing from the previous bullet number
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use confluence wiki pages to collaborate and share documentation and discussion/thoughts about the various initiatives that are being worked upon in the company
