Overview of my Confluence experience
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is one of the best ways I've found to store helpful company information, especially when someone is new to work having an application to learn more and where seasoned employees can easily document information to save time and prevent information silos.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the search engine feature of confluence can not be accurate to what I want. even though I know the keywords I'm typing in are in the article I want, it still might not show up, making it harder to find the exact article that would be the most useful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence is very beneficial, and I recommend every company invest in it. With confluence it is so much easier to access information and also document information for employees.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely consider it might take a while to document previous information but it will help the company in the long run
Great Product that is a Must Have
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a great tool to help companies have a centralized knowledge base of resources. I really like the way it can be integrated with other software like JIRA or other tools related to it in Atlassian. The whole lineup of products can make collaboration, software development, and resource documentation a breeze. I do like the online resources available to users being able to find what they need to collaborate on the platform. I really like the overall visual aesthetics of the platform as well. Really user-friendly (at times) and very bright vibrant displays that help guide the user through the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
This was hard for me to come up with. I really do like this software as a whole and there is very little I would change to make it better. I found that sometimes the platform can be cumbersome and not very easy to gain access to pages that are blocked. Maybe they could have a prompt or some type of process to gain access to certain pages easier? I think they could have a little better help sections that allow users to be able to complete things quicker. Maybe have some self-help prompts for inputting charts, graphs, etc. that can make the creation of pages easier? Either way, there is not much I would change because this is still a great platform and product to utilize for software development teams or any teams that need to store easily accessible documentation for training or knowledge base purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No more having to send email attachments or add them to the meeting invite. Now, we can send a link or directly message the path to get to the material needed. When you pair this with JIRA, you can link a specific issue you are working on with an entire synopsis of the root issue as a whole.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend Confluence for software teams. Being able to link to Jira along with other Atlassian tools is a must. It is also a great tool to utilize on a client-facing team that needs resources in a centralized location.
Pratik's Confluence review
What do you like best about the product?
The light-feeling application interface. It gives an impression of writing on a piece of paper itself. The various typing format, features along with additional features such as code blocks, monospace for writing some pieces of code in the confluence page really helps me and my team since we work in the computer software and programming domain.
What do you dislike about the product?
Indentation at during certain while typing - the bullet numbering can get messed up due to indentation, especially if the prior bullet contains inline images. Many a times it has happened that while writing some detailed steps for some action, we have to attach screenshots and images of certain steps. At that point though, the image addition for the current bullet causes the next bullet numbering to be reset (usually back to 1) instead of still incrementing from the previous bullet number
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use confluence wiki pages to collaborate and share documentation and discussion/thoughts about the various initiatives that are being worked upon in the company
Good Option For Centralized Documentation
What do you like best about the product?
-Obvious choice if you're already using JIRA
-Easy to create spaces and pages
-Easy to manage access permissions
-Easy to create spaces and pages
-Easy to manage access permissions
What do you dislike about the product?
-Previews for Microsoft files are not very good, especially Excel spreadsheets. You pretty much have to download the file to be able to see everything, at least with Confluence's native capabilities. There probably are plugins that could help with this.
-Complex formatting of a page can be a challenge.
-Complex formatting of a page can be a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence to store documentation such as development standards, project proposals, meeting notes, etc. It works well as a centralized location, and has far better search capabilities than storing the same information in documents in a file system. It's also beneficial that's its integrated with JIRA. It's basically our departmental wiki.
Useful tool for organizations
What do you like best about the product?
It's a useful tool. Able to access lots of information within categories. Overall, this is a tremendous tool that would allow you to have the ability to have access to information, both real-time and previously input data that will allow you as a salesperson to have access to the most up-to-date information in a rapidly changing environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a bit difficult when accessing large amounts of specific information. Navigating exactly where can be a challenge at times. It's set up like a traditional file explorer-type user interface. When consolidated properly, you can access which subjects/areas that you want to look into, and then drill in from there. But oftentimes, this can be a bit difficult to find exactly what you are looking for because information can often be difficult to find and the search features and functionality will not give you exactly what you are looking for at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility and accessibility to large amounts of information from marketing, sales, and sales enablement. Able to retrieve time-sensitive information to better perform our job functions. With the rapidly changing environments that we work with in our industry, it's extremely important that we have the ability to streamline and consolidate information across several different facets of teams within our organization. This tool enables our teams to not only view the information, but also the ability to edit, update information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Nothing immediately I can think of. I think this is a great project management software for the most part.
Confluence creates, manage and execute projects in an easy and intuitive way
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a platform that is responsible for generating better performance at work since it is aimed at teamwork achieving an optimal workflow because it has a function that is responsible for customizing applications that help create, manage and execute projects in an easy and intuitive way to give you a constant follow-up without any problems
What do you dislike about the product?
The only function that I consider that Confluence should improve is the localization and export of some files that are synchronized with the integrations that this contains
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Confluence we have managed to solve one of the main problems that we present within the company related to storage and is that with the capacity that this tool has to store data and documentation of customers, this comes given that thanks to Confluence has more than 15 templates that expand the storage through groupings of platforms that are related, with that advantage that lends us we have managed to increase our level of effectiveness when executing our activities inside and outside the company
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence is the ideal tool for those companies that generate a high level of data and have the ability to store it in its entirety, that is where I recommend the use of Confluence to achieve both a storage of data and a monitoring and management of those activities that are performed
Success to well documented projects
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of formatting with pre defined macros for programming languages
What do you dislike about the product?
The formatting is not similar for Jira and Confluence
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Well documented projects helps share context with client and other teams
Outstanding versatility and agility of documentation
What do you like best about the product?
Enormous effect as an internal knowledge and wiki base. A critical approach to gathering information and working together. It is not difficult to stick to a theme as well as to change. Also, there is a fantastic internal calendar to help you keep track of meetings and events. The wiki editing functions, including the intuitive WYSIWYG editor and the possibility of producing MS Word changes, are helpful. It is easy to link a ticket to a release note or even create an evaluation program by connecting to JIRA.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve of administration. Understanding the user interface and wiki markup is usually a struggle. Information is a community, general and specific.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conflicts create scattered teams, cross-functional teams, and services together. Promote communication and collaboration for each company. Keeping many users on the same page reduces misunderstandings and confusion while increasing the output of each project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
That is an outstanding feature. When I started working with it, my first thought was, "Oh, I wish I had known when I worked with it before." I take it to every single company I work with.
Good collaboration tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I like Confluence because it is very useful for live collaboration. I like the structure of your website, the design of your interface, everything is very well done, I can write and modify any type of article, honestly it is excellent at managing the documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functions are often complex and difficult to use and require a bit of effort, however there is nothing to be alarmed about, this product is very well made and meets the needs of our organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Confluence everything is excellent, especially for its great performance in its use, we can share our work with colleagues, interact virtually, document projects and have everything well organized, it really is good and it has been a great experience.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It does a good job, you can take your team to work and collaborate with them and interact in a simple way, it is easy to integrate and use, I really recommend it to everyone.
Quite agile and adaptive literature
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence enables you to produce advanced work in order to edit articles of various stories simultaneously without disrupting them, while simultaneously providing a system of commentaries for each team member.
What do you dislike about the product?
If many pages of same project are clumped, the recent release from each of friends can be difficult to find, without confusion. Once we can remove content, the best thing that we could find in this problem was to split it into organizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The layouts provided by Confluence provide a wide array of interesting features to cover all sorts of ideas, from project labels to self - report measures for comprehensive reviews.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To become more correct, it's also advisable to choose to create bases within the texts for each page. Also every page thus has personality to make sure that the project shows its own brand, despite than whether or not people use a template.
