Confluence is a game changer!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the structure and layout for writing and modifying articles/how-to’s. This product makes documentation much more palatable for both the writer and the reader
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a slight learning curve that has probably since been addressed through some on boarding guides now but initially when I used Confluence I had some Googling to learn different options for formatting
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product has made it extremely easy to write technical documents for IT support. It can easily become your go to Wiki/knowledge base for any tech company
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to give your IT Support team a product that will get well designed and navigable documentation out to your company, Confluence is the way to go!
Great tool to keep your platform documented
What do you like best about the product?
It´s very easy to use so, final users can be easily introduced into the tool so they can add information without additional assistance.
What do you dislike about the product?
In large installations, it could run slow if not properly configured. The administrator needs to put some time into the java fine tuning to avoid problems. This applies to "server" version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it as knowledge base for internal and external customers, is linked to Jira Service Desk so, the support web form is autocompleted with information from this knowledge base. It could take a lot of time and effort you to program such feature by yourself.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Before buying the solution, evaluate the possibility os go directly t the CLOUD version, this way, you will be able to skip the installation ans maintenance implied in the SERVER version. This is specially useful when your IT team is small.
Jira Confluence user

What do you dislike about the product?
no easy way to find user manual on product tutorial. There are some nice youtube videos which solves this problem
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence in combination with Jira for Agile scrum management
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is helpful specifically in agile models and knowledge sharing and training manual creation

We can also create pages and write anything regards to any project and share the link so anyone can go through with the content of the page. This tool really help the team to gather and share the knowledge efficiently. It is secured.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing which i didn't like in this is its interface which is really confusing not user friendly i can say also its difficult to find the direction while creating the pages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using this to get the knowledge about any topic which is saved on the confluence page also making some SOP for our process and saving there for the team knowledge.
Confluence Review
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is best used to be acted as a single-source of truth. It is very important to maintain that single source of truth while developing features and systems so that everyone in the program has the same information. In the automotive industry, there are around 3000 components that need to be designed and managed virtually in the design and development phase. Components are linked to the system and systems are constituted to features. So if there is any change in the design and development of a system the action needs to be followed in the downstream of the process so everyone is aware of the change so that the vehicle program is not delayed. Thus confluence is very helpful to maintain the track of the project and let everyone know who owns the feature to talk to if they have any problem with the vehicle feature
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence is hard to understand if proper training is not given to the individual who is working on the confluence for the first time. You can get overwhelmed by the information and did not know where to start from this a training is essential before jumping onto any project related to confluence else lot of valuable time is wasted just to get to know where the things are in the confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use confluence in the automotive industry as a document which is single source of truth so if there is any chance to the feature or components, its the job of feature owner to update confluence thus every stakeholder is responsible for their work can look at the confluence single source of truth and go from there while developing the feature. The most important thing is it saves a lot of time and work that goes into drafting the email to get to know the changes in the feature design and who have made that changes. Thus it is very useful to save a lot of time and maintain thing organized
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence is very useful in terms of collaboration tools and if you want a document which can be acted as a single source of truth in a team project that deals with the development activities
A documentation tool that's trying to do too much
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about confluence is that you can connect "Spaces" to specific Jira projects. As an avid Jira user, that is very helpful. It keeps documentation organized among the teams especially if you're on multiple like myself.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a fan of how many tools/options that confluence offers. It's overwhelming. Documentation is supposed to be simplistic and easy to find. Confluence is neither of those things. It's so much "Fluff" that I don't enjoy when I have to do go document something for the teams. It's just aways a pain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The teams that I'm on have a central place to house their documentation. So the organization aspect of that is nice.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a simplistic documentation tool. This is not the tool for you. While you will feel that your docs are organized, be prepared to do a lot of digging through tools to find the ones you need to create your documentation.
A multifaceted tool for knowledge sharing and more!
What do you like best about the product?
I was a new user when I started. I was able to play around with the site and pick up the basic functions with ease. With a little more searching and reading, I was able to become versed in how to properly use Confluence to its potential. There are a lot of tips and tricks that are handy when implementing. I like the simplicity behind the design. The functions are clear. It is easy to adopt for a company as one or more people take it on. There are templates that can be created by more experienced users for novice users to create a succinct look to your confluence site. There is a lot of customization available to Confluence users. It is nice to be able to link different pages together because most work overlaps. You can anchor within pages as they become more expansive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it could be useful to have a quick trainee model for a new beginner so to learn the basic functionalities upon entering. This may already exist. Sometimes I wonder if there is too much customization available which can seem daunting. There are also constant changes to Confluence which can make self-learning challenging if the landscape continues to change. I don't love the feature of a draft, because I prefer to save things and not hold it out in a space. I don't always trust others with my work. You can lock your work to prevent something from happening.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to centralize our knowledge source. We can share information among different teams that don't usually work together. We can integrate other tools, such as trello. We also are using Confluence as a place to store documents and branding materials. It fits our needs by creating one site that acts like Box, Trello, and Wikipedia.
all in one place, confluence

Confluence does exactly what it is supposed to do, and does it well
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence helps our team keep a collection of all our templates and documentation - which helps our workflow be as efficient as possible. It is easy to access and share the documentation quickly. As our agents have to be very broad in solving support cases, it is absolutely necessary to keep a database of processes and templates for customer engagement. The comment function is also a great way of communicating and discussing the workflows, which is a great way to get the whole team involved. The tools for creating documentation are also what you would expect from a tool like this. Overall, Confluence has helped our team achieve a more consistent and efficient workflow, which is critical to our brand perception.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is not the most intuitive software to use, it isn't the easiest to navigate. The UX could be improved to make documents even easier to find quickly. Also, the search function could be improved by having more options for a customized search result prioritization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can gather all our information and FAQs in or place, and it is easy to share all the written articles using tools like Slack, etc. As our agents have a high workload, with hundreds of cases being created on a daily basis - a tool like Confluence is absolutely necessary to guarantee quick and high quality of customer support. It has replaced Google docs and sheets as our way of sharing documents regarding workflow and case management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should get this tool
Note taking software that connects with JIRA

The connection with JIRA tickets and ability to use to manage minutes
What do you dislike about the product?
Making changes often and sometimes feels like too many options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for our 1:1 note taking - its nice because we can connect it to our JIRA tickets
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very robust - make sure whole team uses it the same.
