Business view on confluence
What do you like best about the product?
The history of the pages can be seen so you can see changes that have happened before hand. Meaning you can see the history of the product if things have changed overtime.
What do you dislike about the product?
The editing tools of confluence could be improved a lot to make things easier to edit

Confluence is essential for the management and collaboration of information
What do you like best about the product?
I like Confluence for being an incredible interface in which I can create document structures and templates in addition to publishing and planning projects with great ease. And I also have the visibility of the progress of the projects and access to important documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is necessary to allow the interface to establish integrations with other applications of different software, it would be of great pleasure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence because it generates the best collaboration to document policies, documentation processes, plan and organize projects, making it easier for us to develop our work at all times.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sincerely, Confluence is the right solution that helps you maintain a viable option in the management and process of projects that require a wide collection and planning of information. For this reason I recommend it.
It's ok but have been lagging behind in the last years
What do you like best about the product?
I like the structure of the user interface and, especially, the "Expand" function. It's very easy to structure the content using different column interfaces, tables etc. Overall I prefer Confluebce to Google docs when it comes to the way the content looks and what I can do with it to create a more user friendly experience for those who navigate through the content I create.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most important issue I have with Confluence is that you need to click "Edit" and wait for the page to load - it's not as smooth as Google docs or Evernote. I feel this is the major pain point that dis-encourages some people from using Confluence. It's a small but crucial detail as it affects user friendliness. In addition to that, not so many people use Confluence, it's more difficult to share it with people outside of your organisation etc. - thus it just simply doesn't work in many cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Knowledge management - sharing information that's relevant for a medium to long term.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence is ok as a knowledge management tool. However, I'd seriously review all options before settling in with Confluence. Also it's not ideal if you need to collaborate with people outside of your organization (free lancers. authors etc.). And the most important drawback - the editing experience (that you need to click edit and wait until you can actually change anything).

What do you like best about the product?
Best place to collaborate with team and clients. It integrates great with Jira and other atlassian software. It can be used not just for documention, but also one can use for case studies, design products, flow diagrams and anything you can think of.
What do you dislike about the product?
So times the editing make a bit difficult and also flows chats gets distorted upon saving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it every day to integrate with jira and use for referencing the solution part of it. It helps as documentation and project deliverable repository.

I like the fact that you are able to create several pages in Confluence and create a hierarchy and collapse sections.
I like the ability that there is a widget where you can upload content and make this tool the one stop shop for the golden copy.

I wish there were more ready to go templates to easily pick in Confluence, similar to SharePoint. I find that I waste too much time trying to create tables and sections.
I don't like that if you are not an admin, you can create content but you do not have the ability to delete content. But granting everyone admin rights is probably not the best practice.
I also had a lot of issues with the page crashing out on me and losing information several times. There should be some sort of auto save.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence has been a great tool to house all of our IT procedures. It has also been helpful as we transition projects from one IT to another-- this is easily done cause it is all captured in Confluence.
Confluence also gives our teams to collaborate with other internal terms. All team goals are inputted into the system so everyone knows what each team does.

I think you should create more templates so a user can easily create a page and have structure- similar to SharePoint templates.

The flexibity of creating and maintaining documents. The facility of multiple people working on the same report simultaneously makes working so easy.

There is nothing to dislike confluence.it is absolutely perfect.

Maintaining and creating documents, updating documents. Using tables , links and tools is very convinient.

We store all our documents on confluence. It can organized well and it can be completw library of the knowledge we acquire at work

Search was not great before. But now its better. Text editor can be better. May be can integrate with office apps

Easy setup of technology library. Every article can be easily searched and permissions also can be given according to the groups where user belong

Confluence is one of the best tool for the project management. The best things about the confluence are:
In confluence one can easy create new pages in the desired location. One can easily clone the page and can work on that. The security is very good. I can give access to the particular space to one group of people. The integration with the JIRA is very helpful. As there is any query or concern, I can create the confluence doc and attach to the JIRA ticket. One can easily edit and comment on the confluence page. The search functionality is very helpful. One can easily watch the confluence page and whenever there is new edit, an individual get the notification. The version control is quire impressive. One can revert back to previous change if the new changes are not perfect. The help community is always ready to help.

The confluence provides so much feature so it is very difficult to dislike it. I am using it from 2 years and it is sufficing all the required feature.

Using confluence the project management becomes easy. The estimation can be done easily. Any new feature or finding can be easily documented in one place. Using confluence all the team members can be in sync. One can also attach the images and file on the confluence page.

Confluence is very easy to use and it can be use by any individual or by the company for the better way to maintain the project. It provides the best feature along with the integration with the JIRA. It should be given a try !!
A great visual design tool that we can all reference while online
What do you like best about the product?
The way that Confluence is designed makes it user-friendly and allows people to connect with each other as long as they have an internet connection. There are many templates for many different types of design projects, events and other activities related to business. It's a more casual, yet effective way to collaborate compared to many other collaboration solutions since many of the layouts are in familiar formats that resemble everyday media like news articles, tables and grids.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence has been great for me personally, but I have also found that some users find it difficult to use. It can be frustrating to have several group members participate without any issues, but then have one person that finds it difficult to add their input through this platform. In those cases, someone else may have to enter their notes for that other person.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence is a great way to connect online so that we don't always have to meet in person and reference visual items through paper, whiteboards or other real world materials. We can all jump in and make notes based on our schedule and then get projects moving forward faster. The Confluence platform is also flexible enough to be used for planning purposes and general meetings that may not be related to critical business projects.

Confluence has excellent tools that will allow you to move your creative projects to completion faster. Confluence can be a great way to set out ideas and allow for a more balanced way for things to be discussed and approved. I would recommend giving Confluence a try, especially if creative design is a key part of your business.
