The best tool to manage your company documentation
What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy way to organize and write documentation, and the easy configuration of the visibility rights on a document
What do you dislike about the product?
It's interface for moving a document is not so efficient, and the visualization of tables is not so smart
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With this tool you store and share the documentation of your company withour having physical folders and physical files of different type
Central Company File Directory
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is fairly easy to navigate after playing around with the tabs for a while. It is straight forward and easy to edit.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there can be a better layout for files and tabs but the search feature helps out with that aspect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed more functionality than dropbox for company wide implementation. Lots of integration and capabilities.
Not also user-friendly but high flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
The easy way to share content with other and integrate many formats such as graphics, pictures, texts etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not always user-friendly: from time to time it's difficult to find the one button you need or to apply the right restrictions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team communication, knowledge Sharing, Beeing on the same page.
Confluence is a great documentation and KB platform
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is simple to use, build documentation with, and deliver it to internal and external users alike. Moving pages is simple, reorganizing is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
The text editing has never been great and still isn't. The closer to Microsoft Word they can get it, the better. Right now I end up struggling and stumbling through controlling indentations, for example. There should be simple indent buttons, rather than autoformatting in Confluence fighting me every step of the way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because it's very quick to put together documentation and publish it, adoption is much better. It's almost the same amount of work to put it in Confluence than to just keep it in my personal notes. That has helped spread knowledge GREATLY.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take a real look at Confluence compared to other platforms. Sharepoint is a terribly complicated, clunky option, even through Microsoft includes it in Office 365. The time saved in using Confluence is unbeatable. For small teams? There's NO QUESTION that Confluence is the best cheap solution.
Does just what you need it to do
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is word on steroids in the best way. By far my favorite place to build operations guides, how-to's and link everything the way you need it to.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't yet built a shortcut to get to our confluence area after logging on-- but that's just something I have to do myself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After initial hesitation it's been really easy to get other teammmates on board. That's always the biggest hurdle and it's a compliment to my team and also the ease of use of confluence.
A good integrated system for business
What do you like best about the product?
Employees can create their own internal wiki and share the knowledge with other teams using confluence page. This is very helpful for sharing knowledge internally. The system is also integrated with JIRA ticket.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is very difficult to organize the hierarchy of the confluence page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Confluence to document important work and make it easier for others to understand.
All in one tool
What do you like best about the product?
Must have for team's work. We hold here all important information, designs for apis. It's first I start day with
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislakes in my mind right now. Really like it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I declaim higher, we hold here all important information, ways to do things, everything that is needed for basic work day
Great Tool for Organizational Knowledge Sharing
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing I like about Confluence is it's simplicity in creating and writing documents. Maintaining those documents is even much easier. It is very easy to share it and upload files to the respective users. Apart from that, you can even integrate other tools like Jira which will help you in keeping everything at same place. Finding specific page or document is very good. You can even have your own private space to have your own private documents. All in all, it is the great tool to have for knowledge sharing in your organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though Confluence is very easy to use and create documents, sometimes page gets distorted when multiple people tries to access or edit the same page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using confluence for creating and maintaining documents. We keep minutes of meetings whenever we have a meeting within a team or client to document the meetings that we have. It helped me a lot in access those documents and refer them whenever needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence is the great tool to have if you want to have a tool which is very simple to use and create documents. Which also provides option to integrate with external tools like Jira to make it more effective. So, I would recommend this tool to all.
Good for collaboration and internal knowledgebase sharing
What do you like best about the product?
I can write pages, link them together, organize them in groups in logical structure, edit them, share them, see edit history... So it is pretty versatile.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I can't seem to find pages via the search feature that is present within Confluence, the search could be refined and the results orded by relevance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When something needs to be documented internally and available for others to read, Confluence is a good tool to do that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It has great integration with JIRA, so you can use these two together and link to issues from Confluence directly, it will also load their status, etc.
Confluence changed our Office Management Style
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility, the capability of videos, links, docs in meeting protocols, Layout and coordination style.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were quite some down times this year, which we never experienced before. Not sure if it was CAtlassian exclusively or our environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence is our intranet- like tool and we house policies, coordinate training material, and house documents as well as feeds to other sources.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to manage a team and your organization has no intranet, or if you work with JIRA already, get Confluence, it will change your work quality.
