Confluence is a good if unspectacular option for business wikis
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is very easy to use, you can access almost all the power it has from the graphical UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Management is a key, it's very easy to end up making multiple sites with overlapping info. I also don't see how this is any better than any other open source solution unless, like us, you are an Atlassian customer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We hold documentation, release notes, checklists, standards, other team info there
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check open source choices first, Confluence is fine but lacks some power features and is no better than say, MediaWiki.
Confluence is the best.
What do you like best about the product?
With confluence it is so easy to achieve your task. If it is creating a TODO list or documenting something in your infrastructure it all can be done with Confluence.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes some time to get the fullest out of Confluence. That is not something they can do about because it has so many features it takes some time to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We stored our documentation in Microsoft Sharepoint. We are now moving to Confluence because it is much easier to document your items.

Don't hesitate to switch , it will give you a lot of benefits. But take some time to master Confluence.

I like its integration with Jira and the ease of use.

Nothing so far that I don't like about it.

Confluence is a powerful tool that can't be learned overnight
What do you like best about the product?
I like having a central place for the company to upload all documents, ideas, press releases, etc. Before they are shared with the public. I also like that it's totally secure and no one outside of the company will get our documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence is not very user-friendly. We have gone through weeks of training to just get a basic understanding of the software and still it is not being utilized by half the company and those using it are not taking full advantage of all the features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We now have a more reliable location for all important documents throughout the company, making it easier to communicate throughout.
Confluence offers a surprising workspace.
What do you like best about the product?
We like it for its high security of information encryption, since when creating a hierarchical list of the pages with which we will work, it can only be seen by the creator and his delegated team. It is also good to focus the search of a specific topic through its rapid search system. With this tool we can even find comments within web pages.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process of documenting requirements may take a long time. Its integration to Jira contributes several points against, as they are the little capacity that is had to insert the tickets or boards of works from the platform of Jira in the pages of confluence. The so-called "work cards" can not be updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to confluence we have achieved a better ability to add spreadsheets to our pages, to integrate sales CRM services such as salesforce, or to file sharing platforms, as in the case of google drive. When adding applications to confluence from the atlassian marketplace we add much more power to our pages, and therefore we can do a better job.

With confluence you can handle projects of any kind, from human resources to human resources. It is recommended for the creation of brands, since its branding system allows you to customize them as much as you want. In addition, it only costs from 10 dollars per month.
Ideal confluence to generate projects
What do you like best about the product?
This application is known by its users as a program in which you can make project plans, include multimedia resources and content. This allows you to make presentations and projects really unique in regards to style.
What I like about this application, is that you can create pages, practice and customize the images, gifs, work in groups, improve the work by editing the pages together, giving comments through online comments, you can create anything from meeting notes and product requirements.
This software really I love and it has become a greater productivity for the department.

Among the things I do not like, is that it has a system which does not allow feedback, which allows its continuous exploration, has very basic templates in the administrative aspect, otherwise, it is a great application, with opportunities to continue growing in the market and get known with each one of the people.

In the business field, this application allows you to create a different space for each department or team, thus sharing information and organizing work efficiently with a fairly structured system.

Confluence is used to manage the entire workspace
What do you like best about the product?
There is a lot that we like about this service. We include your file manager, which we can drag and drop when deciding to share them. Confluence greatly facilitates the search of information through the web, since it allows us to add pages related to our current work, and search based on the results of these pages, or pages attached to them. You can create a fairly open workspace, with which our team can have enough mobility and define their objectives.
What do you dislike about the product?
One provides system projections of progress, and lacks tools for chat and instant messaging. It also does not allow encrypting files under SSL security, and the document storage function takes a long time to create backups of these. I do not know how to properly integrate the rest of the atlassian applications, including the attlasian Marketplace, so it is difficult to add much power to the work pages if. What the software collapses.

Confluence has turned out to be much better than we thought. It has helped us to capture notes during work meetings, to automate our Workflow, to plan activities, and to review designs. Since its first use, our workspace has become much more collaborative, and there is a better flow of information among all employees. It has also been useful to help us with the creation of brands.

We recommend it Confluence has become a powerful software with a lot of information processing capacity. It is perfect for tracking our activity and the activity of others, since all the progress can be reviewed in a single screen. Its base price is only 10.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility in the way we can organize and share content- its also very user friendly- can upload and save most types of documents and videos. I also enjoy the ability to use tables and integrate documents/files within the content. Downloading the current page in pdf form is also quick and easy to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
The side panel is hard to scroll through when there is a large list. When applying a lable/tag on the page I would prefer to see a drop down rather than having to type something to pop up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
organizing content , content collaboration is a problem in which Confluence has solved for the company I work for. Content can be managed separately (by different departments), but yet can be shared and accessed by all employees.
Easy to use and there so much you can do with this tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love that once you learn the tool, it is very easy to use. It’s is a good central location for documents within each department. With the use of Macros, pages are highly customizable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when I add a Macro to the page automatically add pad through the layout of the page where I didn’t want padding. So I will have to go through and re-edit the spacing.

We are using Confluence as a central location for documentation through the departments, allowing for better collaboration.

Make sure you learn all of what confluence has to offer. It’s a great tool when you know how to use it.

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is an excellent business collaboration application, document management is very fast and efficient. It is based on the cloud, in a web platform that reduces its versatility and power but facilitates access to the platform from almost any device that has a web browser, in addition to this the page is very fast and fluid so rarely experienced delays in data processing. The API edition allows few modifications but enough to adapt Confluence to the needs of each company. It has a very modern approach allowing the interaction between participants to the best style of a social network, this dynamizes the work and makes it less boring, besides that less details are lost and the communication in the work team makes it more efficient and enjoyable.
Confluence differs from other collaboration software by allowing you to perform many tasks on a single platform such as the rapid creation of disposable web pages, blogs, forms, and many more options with the ability to edit HTML and CSS that adds style to all your editions. The main board and the distribution of functions is well organized and very easy to learn, to avoid confusion Confluence opens many windows in the browser so you can be editing HTML code in one window and interacting with your computer in another window. We appreciate the integration of being able to mention other people in the collaboration environment, making the platform more interactive and easy to communicate.

Each file and activity can be commented by the team mentioning or leaving a comment in a text box provided below. The integration with HipChat and Jira and more than 700 extensions give us the power to stay alone in Confluence to finish the whole project.
With a very fast and reliable auto save function it is very easy to work with peace of mind in Confluence knowing that everything is backed up in real time in the cloud. Likewise, the internal search engine is well focused and it is very easy to find any file or document that we have uploaded to the platform.

What do you dislike about the product?
For now I would like to see more types of fonts, colors and templates in the editor because so far the platform is very limited in terms of customization, while it serves the function of facilitating workflows and make them more enjoyable, in Confluence there is the possibility of introducing HTML code but not all handle this language. Another important impediment is not being able to clearly preview the presentations or resulting editions of Confluence but within the same application, this viewer is inefficient so I prefer to download the file and view it elsewhere.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For now Confluence behaves like a good workflow manager and provides a platform adapted to the needs of growing companies. With the possibility of developing the API you can expand the possibilities of automation and customization but Confluence must improve its content builder by adding a more powerful text editor and the ability to add more colors and multimedia files.
