Confluence: Alternative Team Collaboration Software
What do you like best about the product?
A few features that i like:
1. Confluence notifies stakeholders whenever a document is created/updated
2. There is a personal workspace for logged in user, including visiting history, My Space (which allows me to manage pages & docs that i own), viewing popular articles, etc.

What do you dislike about the product?
Searching docs in Confluence is really a pain, especially after we all get used to searching with Google. If you don't remember the exact words or phrases that are presented in an old file, good luck on finding it later on.
Also the overall latency (of doing anything) is a bit high.
Also the overall latency (of doing anything) is a bit high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence as the primary documentation hub (along with Google doc). We usually keep the following docs on Confluence:
- Engineering design docs
- Project overview
- Product overview
- Engineering runbook & on-boarding docs
And so on. Since all of the docs are on clouds, creating & distributing docs becomes a trivial task.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
IMO Confluence works OK as a wiki hub, but if i had to make a decision I would definitely do researches on other alternatives (e.g. Box or Dropbox).
Confluence is useful
What do you like best about the product?
It is a useful instrument to maintain information, update information, share information, review design schedules, and more in an intranet and external structures. It is a working instrument and I always learn about its skills and characteristics. It appears to have a few plug-ins, which you can brand yourself. I felt as though it's nice to use. I would suggest that. I would suggest it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's novel to me, so of course, it's an opportunity to know something different from what I'm used to. I like that, if you can copy and use templates, you don't have to keep doing the same stuff from scratch, if you have an ongoing job. Access and admin rights can be managed. The designs appear to be new and contemporary. I do not like this product very much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most fundamental issue I would see is knowledge management. It is an excellent instrument for uploading all kinds of files that you can discuss and help with the revision check versus text sharing. I believe it's something comparable that all organizations need.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check your skills and see if they meet your requirements. Get some original instruction although group and teams start at very fundamental and small levels.
great tool for internal documentation
What do you like best about the product?
this is the perfect tool to keep track of every meeting, decision, workshop or process you have in your company, you have so many formatting, organisational possibilities. you can also add super useful tools to it like trello or draw.io
What do you dislike about the product?
the formatting is sometimes not so optimal. you need some practice to know the software by heart and be able to enjoy its full capacity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
internal communication and organisation. keeping track of everything we say and discuss in the company. create processes and to do lists.
Create and maintain knowledge repository for all projects
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a great documentation tool from Atlassian which works great with other products from the same company. Whenever we kick start a project, immediately I start documenting all the notes in confluence. Be it dev notes, meeting notes, scrum progress or customer documentation - everything can be done in confluence and shared to team. You can also attach your word or pdf document here and share.
Flowcharts creation is quite easy here compared to other document creating apps. Organisation of such pages in a tree structure in different spaces is hassle free. So you get a quick update of what spaces have been updated by whom and you can choose which spaces you want to watch so that you get notified of any action.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's a great tool overall. I don't find any issues as such.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needed a tool to store all documentation and for knowledge sharing.

Internal Knowledge Sharing Hub
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is the best tool to share the knowledge and information with team members and also within an organization. It provides integration with Jira which has been very useful to link any Jira tickets and check their progress from Confluence only. It has wide array of both free and paid plugins which you can download to enhance the functionality of the Confluence. Apart from that, it provides other functionality like exporting page in PDF or Word file which is useful if you want to share the information to someone offline.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI is not good. It can be better. If multiple persons are trying to edit the same page then it doesn't work properly. Also, sometimes it becomes difficult to find the particular page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using Confluence for sharing technical information like best practices, new APIs introduces in OS, new libraries, POCs created for any project and many more within my organization.

Confluence!
What do you like best about the product?
Much could be better about Confluence. My company uses it as a "go to handbook" since there really isn't another tool quite yet and the price, is better than any others they have found.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like it at all. It is very bland and not appealing to the eye for anyone. It is terrible at searching as well. To me, it looks like a 90's style layout which also takes a long while to load up every single time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It serves as an employee handbook for all practices across the company. Helps you find and store quick information to educate yourself if needed.
