Documentation Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to organize and share content with all stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes navigating across pages can be tedious and un-orderly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralizing and unifying a wiki for documentation access.
A valuable hub for idea generation and resource access
What do you like best about the product?
I like Confluence's advanced search feature which allows us to precisely find specific content in our collaboration projects. The Confluence user interface is pretty simple navigate and use, so there's a very low barrier to entry for most of my co-workers that I use this with. It's also nice to be able to have all of our project content and related information stored online in one location that everyone in our team can access at any time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are certain page setups that can be complicated, especially when it come to connecting pages and information flow from one page to another. Many of my co-workers use Confluence on a basic level and shy away from advanced configurations and integrations due to the seemingly high complexity involved in some of the setups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence to meet online to share ideas, solve problems, share files and generally get work done. It's powerful for us since we can interact in meaningful ways with those that are not physically near us. We can even work with those that are in the same office in ways that are more productive than in-person meetings. Content and assignments are laid out clearly with Confluence, so we've all been mostly more confident with moving forward and knowing what to do.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence can be a more welcome collaboration tools that basic to-do lists, charts and calendars. Many of the templates appear like documents or magazine articles, which I think are easier for more people to absorb and be more engaged in.
Works as an efficient collaboration hub for our projects
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Confluence from the same company as other great software I use, which allows me to switch to them easily. It's also a good place to store your documentation. I like the general layouts and spacing between various sections in project documents, which make it easy to absord the overall picture of what's going on and what needs to be done. Confluence has simple functionality that's easy to work with. It's almost like working with a standard text document.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't quite like the way it handles writing new documentation. I feel like it should have a dropdown that allows you to write it in a format that you want to, such as markdown language. As of this moment, it has a bit of a simplistic feel to it which makes it difficult to write code snippets, which is something I would like to do in my documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence has been an enjoyable hub for me to connect with peers about our current projects and planning events and other activities. The user interface is usually simple enough for our whole team to work with. Confluence enables all of us to be on the same page about tasks, deadlines and assignments so we can get things done properly, on time and with minimal wasted communication and direct file sharing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As with most software, you should do your research for your particular requirements in message boards and review websites to find something that is friendly for writing documentation or whatever your needs are. Confluence has generally worked well for me though.
Wiki for your code base and team
What do you like best about the product?
As the title reads, the confluence is a wiki-like tool for your team and codebase. You can manage everything and anything on Confluence pages. Moreover, it can be easily linked to Jira board making it seemingly easy to handle software artefacts and their pertinent information
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial usage can be difficult due to differences between a group page and an individual page. Also, there are too many privacy settings
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To manage and share information about team activities and software artefacts.
Great management and collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's simple yet effective for managing our escalated tickets with our engineering team. There is a priority system, assigning, comments, due dates, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't say there is anything really that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Escalated tickets from our support team to our engineering team. Benefits are a streamlined approach to logging and collaborating on tickets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great product to use for ticket collaboration across multiple teams.
Fantastic Cloud Wiki
What do you like best about the product?
As a systems and software admin in my org, I appreciate many features about Confluence. Among them:
* User management is a breeze and intuitively overlaps with Jira
* Custom group and permission structures are straightforward
* User adoption is simple because the UI is intuitive
* Deployment across an organization is quick and disruption-free

What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence doesn't love granular page formatting or really robust custom UI-changing tools or scripts. On-prem is better at this, but cloud is the version most people will prefer. Pages sometimes behave or display content oddly and troubleshooting it can be frustrating. Finally, there are occasional (very brief) disruptions in service or site slowdowns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence has been the central repository for internal knowledge and SOPs at my current and previous three companies. In my experience, it is the quickest ways to get clean and accessible internal documentation up and available to employees.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Formal support is lacking in anything but the highest-tier support packages (which I cannot personally vouch for, but also cannot personally disparage). However, it is generally acceptable and benefits from a robust user community and public forums. Otherwise, I am a huge fan of the product.
Confluence review
What do you like best about the product?
Very less learning curve when you start using it. Allow us to share project materials, documents, procedures easily within company with specific groups or with everyone in company
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not easy to format the text and does not have enough formatting options/styles
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it mainly for Knowledge Management within our team and little for issues tracking. It allows team members to quickly update and add information at central location and publish it to be used by other members of team.
Feature Rich, Very good for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's so robust, and very coder friendly, if you don't like the way something looks? You can code it in yourself with Macros!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes can be too feature rich and can be difficult to navigate through. If you're not familiar with at least HTML coding or CSS coding, it can be a little hard to customize the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team work across all our departments.
collaboration with Confluence
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence help us to centralize our knowledge of the projects we manage
What do you dislike about the product?
the possibilities of formatting the texts remain rather limited
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Information sharing has streamlined exchanges between project teams
Best way to publish and organize within org.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to construct UML diagrams using Plant UML. Almost everthing which allows me to publish a page, technical artifacts within teams that acts as a reference material
What do you dislike about the product?
Plant UML integration is not self explanatory. Could have been as easier as lucidcharts drag and drop experience.
PLANT UML literally asks you to write instructions to create a sequence flow.
PLANT UML literally asks you to write instructions to create a sequence flow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Publishing artifacts for org reference.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
a.) Plant UML integration must be made user friendly.
b.) Mobile app refined for user accessibility
c.) Cloud access for data storage
