What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a collaboration and knowledge management platform that helps our teams centralize documentation, share information, and work together on projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Steep learning curve: For new or non-technical users, Confluence can feel complex and overwhelming. Many users report a challenging learning curve for navigating and effectively using its features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence is: 1) a powerful Atlassian integration. It integrates seamlessly with other Atlassian products like Jira, making it easy to link documentation directly to project tasks and tickets. 2) a robust knowledge management. Our teams can create a centralized hub for information, standardizing documentation with a vast store of customizable templates.3) a facilitator of real-time collaborative editing, commenting, and version control, which helps teams stay aligned and manage document histories effectively.

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence does a great job of giving my team a centralized place to document and share information. Implementing things is very smooth thanks to built-in templates for meeting notes, project plans and creating stories. It helps create structured content. Things like inline comments and mentions make it simple to get feedback or input without needing long email threads or separate tools. I also find the integration with other Atlassian tools, especially Jira to be a major strength. It helps keep documentation closely tied to actual project work, which is real useful when managing fast-moving teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that confluence can quickly become cluttered if there isn't clear ownership or structure, pages tend to pile up and over time it gets hard to tell what's current and what's outdated. Some formatting tools feel clunky, especially with tables or layout tweaks. Adoption can also be inconsistent across teams unless someone actively maintains.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence helps me solve the problem of having information all over the place, Instead of going through random files, chats or emails everything is in one spot where the whole team can find it easily. This helps me save time and figure out the data required to get my work done faster and keeps me and my teammates on the same track. The best thing is how it integrates with Jira so when ever I work on any ticket and I want to see the related documentation of that task, I click on the story link of confluence page which takes me to confluence document and i can refer to the docs to understand the requirement of that ticket which contains detailed information along with HLD and LLD.

Very flexible with storing various types of documents including PRD, BRD, FRD and technical documentations for our organization and acts as one stop solution for the same.
Lot of emojis, text formatting options make the documents become more lively and increases the comfort of viewing the same
Wide adaptability across product, development, analytics and strategy teams increasing our companies overall frequency of usage.

What do you dislike about the product?
Search is bit unreliable and slow, shows me info from irrelavant pages and increase confusion.
Confluence loads very slowly in case of pages with images and embeddings making the overall experience irritating

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about confluence is how it helps me keep everything organized without overthinking it. It is super easy to use. No need to install anything complicated, just sign in , create a space and start writing, It is as easy to implement. You don’t need to be tech-expert to create a page, format content, or link things together. It feels like writing in a clean online notebook. It fits into most of the workflows without needing a big setup. There’s a lot packed in like templates, macros, page history, comments, permissions, integrations and much more. The help docs are very helpful, and there’s a big community around it to solve all your problems. I always refer to confluence docs when i want to understand any requirement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels slow and clunky, especially when formatting tables or moving things around. Setting permissions can be confusing, and the mobile app isn’t great for editing. Search doesn’t always finds what I’m looking for unless I remember the exact page name.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence helps me keep all project-related info in one place like docs, decisions, meeting notes, and requirements. I don’t have to search through emails or chats anymore. It’s easy to create and organize pages, and I can quickly refer to them whenever I need clarity, especially during development or planning.. I can also view HLD's and LLD's to understand the workflow of the topic. The templates save lots of my time, The page history helps track changes and the comments make collaboration smooth. I Like how it integrates with Jira where the tickets are directly linked to the docs, which keeps everything in the sync. overall it helps my team to stay aligned without needing constant follow-ups.

there should be a option to select the document type which we want for eg. rich text or plain text.

Confluence solves document maintenance issues.
right now our org has almost 15000+ documents and due to daily tasks scripts etc they generate almost 300 documents on daily basis. confluence handles all the things easily.
