    Media Production

This is clunky, non-visually appealing and difficult to share permissions

  • March 18, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share with others, ability to publish. It's a standard format, most of the editing features are pretty understandable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Weird formatting, hard to authorize permissions, seems to be a dated interface, not easy to copy and paste from other standard applications (microsoft, etc.) We often have to export (which looks weird) and then attach the PDF's to emails because so many users do not have permissions. No good nesting, so pages published for things like meeting notes create really long lists of pages on the lefhand side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it as project updates, as a "wiki" format, a place to put documents.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It does what we need it to do, but we have to do a lot of workarounds

Confluence - a great way for information repository

  • March 18, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease to customize pages and tabs in confluence. Creating your own space and navigating to recently used and recently worked pages. Ability to keep a page locked or accessible to all.Using multiexcerpt included to use content across pages is amazing
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that you cannot jump to specific sections on a page and have to scroll down or up to navigate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating information repository to be shared between stakeholders. It can feed information to multiple pages without having to modify each one individually

What do you like best about the product?
Easy mobile access, ability to quickly add/edit documents and agendas; ability to create resource pages for various projects
What do you dislike about the product?
Not the greatest user interface. Certain functions (eg hyperlinks) don't always work smoothly; inability to preview Word docs without downloading them
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team collaboration, quick communication of policy/workflow changes to the teams
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it first to see if it meets the need of your team

Great Place for Team, Cross-Team and Cross-Organizational Collaboration and Organization

  • March 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a writer for a software company, Confluence is a main hub of digitized information and knowledge that I can leverage to understand company objectives or complex topics, then transform that into awesome content if it's okayed to be external facing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some capabilities are a bit so-so, such as building tables. The tool could probably be more dynamic, but the idea is you'll use other tools Confluence integrates with instead, like Jira or Trello, to manage that kind of work, I suppose.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Knowledge-sharing, collaboration/ideation and calendars are the core things we use Confluence for. It has become a critical aid in our ability to release new functionality at the pace we do because it serves as the place where everyone can go to get on the same page.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To get the most out of the product, you have to choose to use it. It's a mindset/process change, not just a tool change.

Confluence User review

  • March 16, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love confluence because it provided an easy way of maintaining resources and wiki. It helps to maintain the content and keep a repository of the documents and the files.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the fact that it doesn't have the versioning ability like the share point does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solve the content related issues by storing and reviewing content in confluence before moving it over to sitecore for publishing. We also use it to store and maintain our team related documents
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool to use for all industries to solve content and knowledge management problems
