  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's a good overall location to keep important notes or instructions. You can point your teammates to specific pages so they can easily find important information.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not super intuitive for how to use it and has limitations. I'm sure there are ways to affect the layout or design of your notes, but I'm not certain how to do it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a team collaboration location where we can view important information. It's easy to disseminate the information and link team members to where to find it.

Confluence allows for easy documentation creation

  • January 31, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to start creating documentation for our product lines. Being able to have a space to easily collaborate and maintain links to meeting minutes as well as tie in directly to JIRA tickets to go along with documentation and meetings, project plans has been very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times where the site (we use the cloud solution) seems to slow down to a crawl. I use the code block macro a lot and it would be really nice if i could have it in a favorites instead of always needing to search for it to pull it up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this for centralized documentation for our DevOps org. Being able to multi edit a single document makes the building out the needed documentation a faster and easier task than say the traditional file system we were using. linking across the wiki pages has been excellent as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
With being able to re-organize easily, I would dive in sooner than later. Better beats perfect when trying to balance organizing documentation and just getting the documentation built out.

Excellent tool to share and track projects and goals for large or small groups.

  • January 31, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
User friendly. A very straight forward tool that allows teams to collaborate in real time. A glorified Sharepoint...and then some!!! We use this tool enterprise wide and it is very effective in allowing us to accomplish our day to day work as well as larger scale objectives. Although we have the ability to continue to use Sharepoint, this tool is much more effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally adding in macros can be difficult. Several macros have name so similar that it causes confusion as to which is the correct. Also had an issue when the way to edit was switch to Atlassian editor and lost the majority of our database of users for an enterprise wide tool tracking.

Also, we might like more information as to how to use Confluence as a ticket tracking system for users who have issues with elements that are part of our enterprise.

Submitting a ticket for issues that we have not been able to locate in the online help tool is difficult to do. The first time I attempted to submit a ticket for help, I did not find the link for almost an hour. Once I did, response was quick.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning, goals, enterprise wide efforts. We track it all and are able to collaborate in real time.

Saves us a ton of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Straight forward. Allow to track and monitor project status, ideas creation tracking, etc. The list could go on and on.

You can do a lot, but since it is too flexible, it can be chaotic.

  • January 31, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is a very flexible tool, you can do many things and align it to your own needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most people have access to what you do, so since everyone has a different view on how to structure the content, sometimes that capability becomes a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team Cooperation
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure that each user receives a fundamental understanding of the capabilities of this tool.

Easy to use, organized, but not pretty

  • January 31, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how organized the WIKI function is- multiple pages within pages and easy to add new sections.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very design heavy. It doesn’t have to have everything, but some more options for thumbnails and graphics would be nice. Also searching within WIKI does not work well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training and accountability. Go to place to store everything.

  • January 30, 2019

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
