Don't worry about the future, confluence is the future.

What do you like best about the product?
The organization-ability of the articles is very useful. The labels and visibility settings help make certain articles visible to only certain access types. Having separate spaces enables our teams' to have a more specific and distraction-free space that is relevant to their tasks at hand. Also, having the ability to share a link to an article directly is very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The customer (end-user) portal could use some enhancements. To be able to design a landing page for the customer would be phenomenal, at this time it’s forced to either choose a service need type or choose a service desk (if more than one is made) - this doesn’t help if you have internal service desks and customer service desks because both show.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Knowledge is now in one place rather than in everybody’s inboxes or lost in Google Drive. Being able to have a visible, flexible, organizable knowledge base for all our developers and other users to search and access is priceless. Being able to build custom pages to showcase specific article types or labels is useful, too.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence is a great tool to gather your collective knowledge into one single source-of-truth. However, it does need some improvements on making the view permissions more clear. It does not have a "view as" feature where you can see the specific article as someone who is not a registered user, for instance, and that would be very helpful in maintaining the security of your knowledge-base.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that we can keep updating any kind of documents and also all the information is encrypted based on the user while it is pulling out from DB, Every team member have access to edit and share information is a good tool to keep everyone updated, I like that it provides different templates to create wikis and also the facility to connect every information and every document.
What do you dislike about the product?
Logging into Confluence if you have any type of security is somewhat difficult and doesn't always take the first time around. They can have an SSO or AD drive to get rid of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer support services.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
SharePoint offers almost the same things, but somehow Confluence feels better and it's more practical for users but need to be updated as competitors does.
Great for quick documentation and collaboration in design
What do you like best about the product?
confluence makes it easy to collaborate on design documents and documentation. It works great together with Jira to track stories and gliffy for diagrams
What do you dislike about the product?
The editing is easy, but seems kind of dates. Real time collaboration and more advanced editing tools like in google docs would be welcome. Also the discoverability if documents is not as easy as it should be so I often overlook work that has already been done in confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use confluence to collaborate on design and documentation. It is a good first stop to see if another dev has already worked out the problem you are trying to solve.

What do you like best about the product?
This tool is very good for documenting. It has a potential to store entire information about a software process.

I wish if the new confluence page creation had better macros.

We use confluence for documenting purpose. We refer confluence documents on almost everything.

Confluence is really a good tool, I can not think of anything that I don't like

I like that we can add features to things we are working on and have one specific place to go and see what everyone else has added and is working on.
What do you dislike about the product?
There seems to be quite a bit of downtime in the app itself. Other than that, we think it's great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have several areas that are working on the same IT project, it definitely helps us all know where the other teams are and what they are working on so we don't duplicate work. We have seen a reduction in project time because of this!

What do you like best about the product?
Has great features and integrations into other workflows, and has adding for graphics and supports the ability for detailed and strong documentation. Has methods for supporting documenting and adhering to an agile method by customizing your workflow and setting up a Kanban board.
What do you dislike about the product?
Migration efforts to combine environments took longer than I’d like, but really that only happens in a blue moon. I’d like some online classes as to how to customize / be more of an admin

This software solves issues for Documentation, workflow tracking, and communication. We’ve seen increases in team unity and coordination, and knowledge sharing.

What do you like best about the product?
I can get all the documents in one page its comes up with recently who updated and what is previous version with striked mark data. easy for page navigation
What do you dislike about the product?
Search option needs to improve- some times its fetching single page multiple times and it not having relavant search. document download needs to improve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All the data is stored in folder wise- so its easy to access all the data by department wise
