It's not perfect in the space it's in, but it's a market leader
What do you like best about the product?
-Confluence is relatively easy to add and edit content in
-Fairly seamless integration with many external products as well as JIRA
-Fairly seamless integration with many external products as well as JIRA
What do you dislike about the product?
-Lacks external facing features without internal licensing
-Over-engineered 'layers' UI creates an emphasized need to use the global search feature to really find anything
-Over-engineered 'layers' UI creates an emphasized need to use the global search feature to really find anything
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it primarily for internal project management, execution, and documentation.
Replaced our file server and Word files
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is such a great tool for sharing documentation that we migrated all of our legacy documentation to Confluence Cloud. It's easy to use, organize and fine information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all of the document editor features are as robust as MS-Word so there are some limits in terms of efficiency but most of the work we do in Confluence doesn't require complex capabilities so the loss of efficiency is minimal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documentation, reference guides for customers, white papers, capture knowledge capital, product planning, capture ideas, document product releases and more.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It takes a while to migrate legacy documents and it's worth investing time in templates and macros to assist.
Effective but not user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a great way to house assets and information about internal products. It is accessible to all employees within our company
What do you dislike about the product?
The search feature rarely pulls up what you are looking for and the ability to quickly modify pages is not very user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company uses Confluence to store sales assets, process docs for account managers, general news bulletins, and knowledge base. It is helpful to have a central location for all of our materials, but general feedback from the staff is they can't find anything.
Pretty Neat Interface
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Confluence from past 5-6 years for various clients. I have seen the user interface getting improved significantly over the years. I love the PDF export option which exports the whole report written anywhere flawlessly and with perfect page alignment. So, while I am preparing any report, I just have to care about my content which I am writing and Confluence does rest of the work on its own.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to get the API uses bit more easily. I had to setup a lot to use the API functionality and the documentation to use it was a lot complex and unclear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly for documentation work with my multiple clients. I would say this tool is the most widely used.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It definitely makes team work very very simple. Collaborating using confluence is very easy and at the same time history of events is automatically logged. So, we can easily identify who has done what.
Best Place to Maintain Stories
What do you like best about the product?
- The Confluence page will be a living document to be filled during the course of the project to avoid last-minute transition/information sharing
- The page includes a comprehensive checklist and list of activities to be completed by the project team in order to successfully hand over to TS
- The process is applicable for both Apttus-led and Partner-Led implementations

What do you dislike about the product?
we cannot see the story ( Brief one/two lines) directly from JIRA
we have to go to confluence in order to see the stories
we have to go to confluence in order to see the stories
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Technical Support will go to the Project confluence page for all the information needed on the transition
- Technical Support will access all of the project documentation on the Confluence OneTool page before reaching out to the PS for any further questions
- Efficient transition process with minimal email threads and meetings

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try to shoe Confluence information in JIRA
Handy "wiki" like tool for documentation, runbooks, project statuses etc.
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to share updates on articles that you want to share with people who follow that article, folder or space (which is the name what Confluence uses for example to separate HR, Marketing, Customer Support etc. areas). Also the editing features for articles are quite easy to use and sufficient for many different purposes. One other thing worth mentioning is their option for creating template files. This feature comes in handy if for example you have recurring meetings for which you have certain topics that you go through every time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Menu structures and usability aren't the best. I'd like to see more customisation options on the menu structure and it's size, especially when you have longer names for folders, files etc. It is not bad by any means but a bit frustrating when you cannot see the whole name of the folder for example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Runbooks and other guides are very well organised and updated with Confluence.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Building your own wiki is one option but price wise, I'd recommend Confluence. Especially impressed by the update management for existing articles (can choose who do you want to see the changes in the content, if anyone. Also you can select yourself which articles you want to follow and which you want do not want to.)
Executive Assistant for Impact
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the flexibility you have in creating spaces and pages that work for you and your teams needs. Also the ability to engage with the software like social media makes it a bit more user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the creation of content required a little more backend knowledge than I had, so at times it could be a struggle to interact or create the content if you didn't already have a working knowledge of the software. Sometimes it was difficult for older colleagues in the organization to navigate and required additional training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We now have a space where a great majority of our inter communication is shared. The blog space has been the most beneficial because it allows information to be shared and discussed without sending multiple emails and adding to already cluttered inboxes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We had a tough time implementing it due to how we chose to roll everything out. I would say make this software a part of your on boarding process for new hires and have a clear vision of how you want to use it organizationally and departmentally and communicate those expectations to the staff.
It is an excellent team collaboration tool, which you should not stop using
What do you like best about the product?
It is excellent for team collaboration in the creation of our content and work management, we do not always have time for meetings even with people from your work environment, it is a very useful application in that sense, you can include multimedia resources, plan projects , schedule meetings, comment, leave notes to another team member
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not contain a single tool that helps to carry out a comprehensive project monitoring
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The organization has been paramount, we have been able to sort and list our activities, establishing priorities for its realization, managing to maintain all the active work team in the fulfillment of its activities
Couldn’t provide screenshot because log in requires 2 fac yubi key authentication
What do you like best about the product?
I think it’s a great way to provide a communal reference point when struggling to address an issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
It provides a high capacity knowledge base I can utilize to better my job related skills, the search bar also makes finding information super quick and easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving operations flow problems with confluence using mostly SOP flow charts. The wealth of knowledge has made me better at assisting client’s specific needs.
Perfect collaboration tool for Enterprise Software
What do you like best about the product?
I like the integration with JIRA and all other task management and tools from the Attlasian Suite.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would make it more interactive, and more export formats would be perfect for minutes of meetings for example. Also, integrating with code versioning systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documentation is key to every successful software platform. Using Confluence for Enterprise Software is a plus, because of it's features and integrations available.
