Good to keep documentation
What do you like best about the product?
It is fantastic tool to keep all your internal documentation into this software. It is fantastic as you can organize by spaces and then by sections/groups, which you can then add pages under. On each page is fantastic as you can use plugins of Confluence to integrate an accurate editor, as if it was like text editor. In addition incorporates, table of contents and macros if you want to export the page, it has a feature which allows you to download in different extensions like word or pdf for example.
What do you dislike about the product?
Searching is still not accurate, as tried in several occasions search by different keywords and is not accurate. It is hard to maintain as lot of users in the company are using it and can experience performance issues. There is as well a complexity in terms of set restrictions to users in different pages or spaces, as sometimes you are allowing certain user and it doesn't make effect.

Consultant on Project Team
What do you like best about the product?
Tagging my project team members is easy and so is formatting inline comments for marking up a story.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to denote stories that block other stories + the integration with JIRA seems temperamental at best.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm participating in a project team effectively, allowing for not just streamlined comm with team mates but also noting the work I've done so far.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Garbage in garbage out is what I've experienced as part of a project team using Confluence Spaces. As part of a team with numerous Business Analysts, an IT Project Manager, and a few developers, it very easily can become a noise when it comes to who/how stories are being written/reviewed.

it would be great if we could copt and paste the EXCEL tables.

it’s only one click to convert them into Jira issues, without even having to leave your page
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence eliminates the need to store documentation in multiple places like shared drives or file folders. You can link a Jira project to a related Confluence space where all relevant documentation can be easily organized. No more searching for content related to the project, it’s all in the same space whenever you need it.

What do you dislike about the product?
The text editor. Sometimes it sucks using it for making bullet points
I don't like the search functionality. Multiple times it has failed to find a certain page even when I specify the right text.
I wish it would allow me to save certain or favorite pages

A sharing space for documents that is secure unlike google docs.
A Workplace Staple but Requires Upkeep
What do you like best about the product?
The concept and functionality of centralizing working documentation, procedures, and any related material is great. f you're super organized and diligent, the landing pages here can be super useful. I also like that you can format pages for different functions as well as have some flexibility in the design of the page as well. Also great that it has synergy with JIRA.
What do you dislike about the product?
The concept itself is pretty straightforward however, navigating though can sometimes be non-intuitive for specific things such as managing a workspace (pages, quicklinks, accesses, etc.). I think this product also requires quite a bit of management from its users (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) but it can get very messy when organizations grow and get a bit disorganized as you can have multiple pages for the same thing in different workplaces, legacy documentation, etc. and it's a hassle to find what you're looking for in Confluence. The recent UI improvements have definitely made it a better experience but i'd love to see something there that might force users to be a bit more diligent in Confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use confluence mainly for internal documentation and training. We've also used it for our team as a team webpage that anyone can reference. The biggest benefit here is the tracking and centralization of resources.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When Implementing, start with a strong infrastructure (page set ups, workflows, etc.) and training so that everyone is using it in a similar way
