Atlassian has a winner with Confluence application for team collaboration

The ability to collaborate in shared workspaces

What do you dislike about the product?
The interface and 'buttons' feel a little dated and 'clunky' in parts of the tool.
The UI could benefit from a refresh, or redesign - at least in part - to match the competition
But as for features and functionality, confluence still walks among the leaders of the pack for this type of application / collaboration tool

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence functions like a SaaS in that it is providing a dynamic group of 'services' which enables team collaboration at its highest level. Meeting management, organization of workgroups, workspaces, document repository and central folder structure, issue management and work logs are just some of the many features in this super dynamic tool that is loaded with features to help make working together in today's 'remote-based' global workplace much easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For anyone looking for a collaborative tool that will enable collaboration, content management, and issue tracking Confluence should not be overlooked in the decision making process.

What do you like best about the product?
I'm a support representative, so my favorite part is the database we have stored within confluence. Helps organize all of our in-house knowledge on our own product.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit hard to navigate through and it's cumbersome to access confluence through atlassian/jira. There is no good introduction to the product when signed on. That would
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team appreciates the collaboration within Confluence while the ability to store knowledge within our database. I personally used the ability to store our own internal help-centers and it really helped to keep that information in a secure place.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use, very easy to configure, very easy to understand the first time you get in touch with it.
You can organize all the aspects of a project and make it available for everyone. It is ideal to create reference guides, components descriptions and different types of resources for the members of your team.
It allows you to set up different levels of access so not all users can access all the information.
You can also customize the visual aspects of the platform according to your needs.

There's nothing I dislike from the tool at the moment
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At my job, we use it to store relevant information for all the users related to the project we are working on. For example, there's a general description of the project, its components, the tools it is liked to, and we have created a reference guide, in which a description of all the components from our platform and how they are built and supposed to behave can be found.
Since we use agile methodologies, we also update the outcomings from the different meetings, the goals proposed and the results achieved.
We also have calendars in which the days off from the team members are marked so other team members can check the information.
That way when someone needs any kind of information related to the projects or its team members, it can be found in this amazing tool.

Best Internal Documentation System
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely easy to use to create internal documentation. Rich text and media makes it a must-have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Installation for self-hosted installs is kind of a pain, even with support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating internal documentation. Much easier to organize than mediawiki.

Easy interface that mimics others like it (Jira, for example). TOC and toolbar make it easy to navigate.
Also, quite a few options for organizing content - pages, blog, calendar, notes...easy to mention other users to get their attention.

What do you dislike about the product?
You can't control formatting on some items - for example, a table has a red outline that you can't get rid of.
A little bit too "social media" like, with @-ing colleagues - would prefer another way to alert users.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it for a team page - links, important info, etc. Unfortunately, it hasn't taken off yet into popular use in our team.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Confluence gives me the ability to organize my work and teams work according to the structure I need. I love all the additional editing features, comment sections, etc. Very good tool for information repository, requests, and processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could be a little more user friendly and the UX/UI could be improved a little.

It helps us store all important information in one place, instead of needing to search for it in random drives or folders. The ability to organize the structure makes gaining instant information easy.

I enjoy the collaborative aspect of confluence and how easy it is to share documents and info to a different part of the organization. Easy to search for anything you are looking.

I wish confluence would have better templates and different looks for different types of sites just to make it a bit more customizable.

Confluence has been great for teams to document projects and share documents with their peers.
