Great tool for documenting bugs
What do you like best about the product?
I liked the layout and how simple it was to see updates on bugs. It's also a very simple tool to use. It's also a great tool for people to use to collaborate with bugs on the progress that's being made on them. I also liked how you could do so much with it (meaning not just tracking the progress of bugs).
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't too much I dislike. The only thing that comes to mind is the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to see updates on bugs that my customers submitted. The benefit of this is that I was able to reach back out to my customers and provide them with updates without having to reach out to engineering every other day ha

What do you like best about the product?
Its webbased and links can be shared across .Also people can post in comments and questions and can like and dislike the page.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anybody who has access can edit stuff..so admin needs to be strong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meeting notes, personal space for the team to post artifacts .
A great Documentation Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence offers a great product for documenting, and planning your work. If there is something you need to do, chances are you can do it in Confluence.
What do you dislike about the product?
With such a large arrangement of features, the Interface can be confusing at times. You are often supplied with a large section of options, each with additional options, and without spending a fair amount of time researching they may still not help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are working to create full documentation for our IT Department. Having this information readily available has been a fantastic improvement to our workflow and efficiency.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a generalized solution for your documentation and planning Confluence can help! It will take a bit of work to get everything just the way you like it, but when its all put together, you will have the documentation you have always dreamed of.

You can write article, explain everything for everybody, embed image,file etc..

Sometimes can be difficult to understand

We use Confluence as our knowledge database, we create article, tutorials and explain some process

The ability to create a file repository all users have access to is the main advantage of the platform.

The interface for interaction with other users is considerably poor.

Good for knowledge management, as it allows sharing a wide range of files and documents. However, it lacks quality when it comes to team collaboration, since the interface for interaction is not user friendly.

We use confluence as our WIKI. Really easy to use and post content.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited ability to design and structure content.

Knowledge Management - Specially for my team, we are able to create system specific guide and pass them on to new hires

What do you like best about the product?
The Confluence software make it creating, collaborating on, and maintaining information for a group of users very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Confluence software has a limited number of fonts compared to a word processing program.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy and quick collaboration space that requires no real training or practice

it doesn't have all the wordpress or templates that can support different add-ins

in a small company, we need a web-based collaborative space to update quickly, the benefit is that there is no real training required, it is simple and easy to pick up.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to use for small to medium sized companies, no real training required to start using this collaborative space.
Your day to day needs for documentation!
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and ability. The cloud bases application makes it easy to access from anywhere. The revision control is also very helpful and ease for AD integration. Another big bonus is your ability to export to PDF and word!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the formatting tools are limited. It try to mimic Microsoft Office but only gets about 30% of the way there. It does make it easier for the day to day user but some advanced tools would be nice for those that can handle them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized document storage and collaborations. This also helps us with revision control. This helps tell us who is editing when and we are able to look back at all previous versions.

Great day to day tool does lack some advanced features.
