Confluence is adequate.
What do you like best about the product?
The links on the side of the webpage is easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The webpage looks slightly cluttered.

Confluence helps employees obtain knowledge without contacting a manager or other employees.
Great Product Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
It’s great to use confluence, jira and HipChat together. Notifications work seamlessly across the platforms and jira links perfectly in confluence.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit buggy—not super user friendly. You can’t retro-log time without opening the card.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to keep documentation online and monitor change tracking accordingly.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can easily tag other colleagues so they are accountable in a public view vs. going via email where assigned tasks often get lost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Editing things within Confluence can be tricky... it’s very temperamental and isn’t easy to make tables, timelines, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s a great tool to collaborate with other colleagues. It provides a “paper trail” for you to follow progress on issues.

The tool is very flexible and integrate well with Jira and many plugins are nice.

Performance. System can be slow at times. Lack some structure of how to manage and layout content

Document management and team collaboration. Very nice and not too expensive. Easy to manage and maintain.

What do you like best about the product?
As a team we use Confluence as a directory for information storage and it is easy to create documents / share with the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't always have the best luck when using the search feature, I'm still trying to figure out the keyword aspect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a remote company and it allows us to have a storage space of information, easily accessed and edited by team members.
Confluence for Knowledge Base
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is SUPER easy to use. Most of the navigation and editing tools are intuitive if you've ever used a word processor before. The ability to restrict pages and viewing based on permissions is awesome - It makes it easy to separate out production ready content from brainstorming and collaboration. We're able to add groups and polls using some handy widgets that make collaboration a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is more an internal failing, but we don't really manage our content well, so because it's REALLY easy to make content in Confluence, things tend to get cluttered pretty quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a place to store internal documentation where we could share and iterate among product groups.
Out of the box functionality meets powerful customization
What do you like best about the product?
I like how we can easily see other people's work, and that there is flexibility in adding macros and add-ins to really customize our workspace. I like the different workspaces too and that we can have different collaborators in each one.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there was an easier way to reorder pages. Wish I could 'favorite' certain Macros for easy access. Too hard to find pages that are only in Draft and have never been published. Just in general, the documentation and macros are too technical and not the easiest for me to understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to collaborate on research, system documentation and acceptance criteria for our user stories. We were trying to manage this in Google Docs plus Aha! and it was too all over the place. Confluence has given us a central place that is easy to navigate, track changes, and customize. There is so much to customize that unless you have time to really learn it, you will just use most of the out of the box templates and functionality.
Great for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Always online, never need to download anything, or worry about things getting out of sync. Best part is that if you move or rename a page, confluence redirects any old links to the new page.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the formatting is not as easy to use as it should be. Formatting macros are hard to remember, and clicking and selecting them takes me out of my flow.

Collaboration between large team, and knowledge sharing.
Great tool to create a one stop information spot
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Provides good direction on how to start to create pages but also easy edit ability. Enjoy the ability to export pages to provide hands on materials to training groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a little overbearing on where to start.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having agents able to all access the same information to provide clients the same messaging. Also helps communicate department and company changes. Benefits our department since everyone sees the same information, it saves the time of an agent having to ask questions.
