great tool for writing and collaborating on documents
What do you like best about the product?
The document editing tools provide everything I need, and collaboration in terms of commenting and editing doc at the same time work spectacularly well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes formatting text gets a bit buggy, where I try to select some text and apply a style or header type, and nonselected text around it also changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a Product Manager, I use the tool to write specifications for projects or features. We then collaborate on the document by commenting.

Confluence is a great project collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Confluence is the ability to have my BA's and development team collaborate on requirements and JIRA changes in one portal. With having one controller of the whole process it makes it much easier for them to focus on their tasks and not always updating and versioning documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
If there is any dislike - I would like to have more document formatting options. But all in all it is a great tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem being solved is the disconnect of communication between the BA's and the development and QA teams. One portal and document source for all is a great help.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great if you need to improve team collaboration and documentation efforts.

Confluence Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use and love the templates - makes it easy and quick and we can keep our team up to date in a standard way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really - wish we had discovered it earlier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lots of cross collaboration and working with teams across the organization on projects. Helps us keep up to date on status and action items as the work moves forward.
Effective tool for documenting APIs
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of creating new pages, child pages, editing documentation and keeping track of documents when another team mate makes changes
What do you dislike about the product?
Could be slow sometimes. It takes a bit of time to get used to editing documents when you are new to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maintaining API documentation where partners can access any changes to APIs. Maintaining release details. etc
Documentation platform
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a great documentation platform which is a part of the Atlasssian Cloud tools. I like its ability to link and reference other user stories from Jira or the ability to be embedded in Hipchat.
What do you dislike about the product?
The part of a confluence document where multiple people can make edits at the same time can see some improvements because several times I have lost my edits when trying to update a page while someone else was making edits too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use confluence in our team along with other Atlasssian tools to document our business processes and to share important team documents without having to worry about security and sharing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence is a great platform for team sharing sharing and documentation encyclopedia. It provides great editing tools which make the platform a lot easier writing documents.

What do you like best about the product?
Anything is possible if you have the right add-ons and a willingness to learn. It is easy to adopt and use but is extremely robust.
What do you dislike about the product?
Page development can be quite buggy. Especially when working with more complex pages, things tend to break, presenting challenges in getting things exactly right.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documenting processes, sharing notes, collaborating on documents. Benefits include always having up-to-date documents/notes and agreed upon processes.

Amazing tool to share information internally and externally
What do you like best about the product?
This tool is very easy to use and allow everyone to access the project information from everywhere. We also use in for internal and external customers!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it crashes! And we lose some of the work we develop - not so often!

Solid documentation tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the wide range of options for customisation. Confluence work very well Jira so you can link stories in you Confluence spaces/pages and the stories will have their status("open", "in progress", "closed"...) displayed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does get a little confusing to find what you are looking for from time to time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Main benefit comes from centralised documentation archive. All the projects, their requirements, business roles etc are documented and easily trackable into real development inputs in Jira. So the main benefit is the easy access to vital business information.
