Confluence helped provide tools necessary for effective client project management
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to collaborate on projects without having to leave the application alleviated some of the challenges we were facing on one particular content management project for a client of ours who exposed me to this application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the components of the UI could have been refined and simplified. Icons are used in many cases, and while it looks sleek, it can be less intuitive for the users (my team) to associate with the intended use of that button.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team project management, collaboration, communication, and content sharing and document management.

It is very adequate tool for the problems it was intended to fix. Collaboration is made easy with Confluence.

I like the organization that confluence brings to our organization. It gives use one place where people can go to find more information of projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence can get really messy if you aren't dedicated to up-keeping it. There's no easy way to see out of date information, so people could be searching and finding old info.

We use confluence as a way to keep all of our project management documents in one place.

We have used this to create and export user guides for all our applications.
Ive had this for a year now and still no help.

That it looks like someone is using it. If I knew how to get a hold of support so someone can assist I would love to use it and understand more of how the product works.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ive been a user for over a year and all I get is emails notifying me if someone has updated a certain section. Then if I click on the link provided it says that the link is invalid.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wish I can tell you. I haven't been able to log in and look at it. Once I get access to look into this product i would be glad to say what issues we will be solving.

Finding past and current edits of published articles is a bit convoluted.

Confluence can be hit or miss
What do you like best about the product?
I like the interface. Also the Page Tree is easy to use. Edit is simple as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence does not save excel docs and difficult to create new. Also, moving documents is not simple. It would be great if this was a user friendly tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All our standard operating procedures are loaded in Confluence. It also allows others to make changes and save the recently updated steps. This is also easy to view. SOPs are the bible of our company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
read the manual on how to use this tool. It is very difficult to master, and I myself have issues still. It is a great tool, but hard to use.

Useful and great offering
What do you like best about the product?
There are many valuable reasons to use Confluence, some of them are:
- Perfect for task management as the tool offers a wide set of Status fields, custom fields, filters, settings
- Perfect for cross-functional work: Jira is integrated with many other tools (such as Product Management tools, Salesforce, etc)
- Knowledge management: Confluence offers the possibility to organize and manage the documentation, there are templates that users can build and then use to have a standard for all. There are plenty of use cases for this, one can be the onboarding of new joiners, having a clear and self explaining documentation increases the speed of onboarding by reducing the load for the employees. Confluence offers even reporting functionality to collect information from different pages, organize them and provide a clear overview.

What do you dislike about the product?
The main issue with Confluence is that at some point it will get pretty slow and time to time not usable, this is due to many reasons:
- Complexity of the tool, being slow is a price to pay for having such a complex tool
- misuse of the tool: there are so many features, status, settings, filters that it is extremely easy to reduce surprisingly the speed
