A Must-Have for Centralized Documentation and Team Wikis

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence makes it easy to create and organize team documentation in one place. I love the simple page editor, the clear structure with nested pages, and how well it integrates with jira. The search is fast and accurate, and the ability to comment and collaborate directly on pages is a big plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the editing experience can feel a bit clunky, especially with complex tables or larger pages. Permissions can also get confusing to manage across spaces. Lastly, performance slows down a bit when loading heavy pages or lots nested content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence helps us centralize all our documentation-Project plans, meeting notes, team processes-so everyone knows where to find the latest information. It reduces email back-and-forth, improves transparency, and makes onboarding new team members much faster.

Confluence: Source of Documentation

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like it because we can have a single page where we store all the manuals and documentation for projects and implementations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I feel that editing is not as intuitive as on other platforms, especially when I want to insert tables or more customized things. I've also had situations where some changes are lost if two people edit at the same time, although it happens rarely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to document implementations, create internal manuals, and leave evidence of the processes we carry out in each project. Before, we used to do that in Word or Excel, and it became a mess to keep it updated. Now everything is centralized, and the team can enter and see what they need without asking me for it.

Powerful Collaboration Tool with Room for Improvement

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence excels as a centralized knowledge base, making team collaboration seamless. Its integration with Jira and other Atlassian tools streamlines project management. The templating system and real-time editing boost productivity, while granular permissions ensure secure documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can feel clunky, especially for new users, and performance slows with large pages. Advanced formatting requires macros, which have a learning curve. Pricing scales steeply for small teams, and search functionality could be more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence solves scattered knowledge, inefficient collaboration, and outdated documentation. By centralizing team wikis, project plans, and SOPs in one searchable platform, it eliminates silos and reduces redundant questions. Real-time editing and @mentions streamline feedback loops, while integrations (e.g., Jira, Slack) automate workflows. For my team, this means faster onboarding, fewer miscommunications, and audit-ready documentation—saving hours previously lost to digging through emails or shared drives.

Efficient Workspace for Project and Team Management

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It brings all our team documentation, meeting notes, and project plans into one centralized, organized space. The real-time collaboration features, like inline comments and version history, make it easy to work together without losing track of changes.

The integration with Jira is also a big plus — it helps us link technical documentation with actual development tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Confluence is that sometimes the editor can feel a bit clunky — especially when working with complex tables or formatting large pages.
When Confluence releases a new version, need to update features documentation according to reflect the changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence helps us centralize all our documentation related to service desk operations, project management workflows, and automation processes.

Centralized knowledge hub and Collaborative editing

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence pages are ideal for creating a wide range of documentation, including project plans, meeting notes, instructions, guidelines, technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, release notes, and more.
I like Customizable templates simplify the documentation process and ensure consistency
What do you dislike about the product?
Inefficient Search: Confluence's search bar is often criticized for its limitations and difficulty in locating specific documents efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Information silos and fragmentation
Problem: Knowledge and information are often scattered across various tools, email threads, and local drives, making it difficult for team members to find what they need.
Solution: Confluence acts as a centralized knowledge repository, a "single source of truth," where all project-related information, documentation, and data can be stored and easily accessed.
Benefit: Reduces time wasted searching for information, improves overall efficiency, and ensures everyone is working from the latest and most accurate data. This promotes better consistency in project execution

Great Project Management & Collaboration tool

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find using confluence very seamless. It's a great tool to help my business manage projects and collaborate/update the staged process of project delivery. It keeps everything in one place and is simple for all stakeholders to use/manage rather being a tool that is too technical for non tech literate users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find other tools like SharePoint or Jira better for issue tracking and a better user interface. Although these tools can take more configuration before getting the best out of them, once the time is invested you can often get a bit more out of them
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence allows our business to have a central repository for storing knowledge based information. It's easy to use and manage so reliable for all users. This is really beneficial so that we don't have to invest time and money into multiple tools it's all wrapped up into one easy to manage tool

Streamlined Bug Tracking Right Inside Confluence

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We've been using the Confluence Bug Monitoring App for several years now in our day-to-day tasks, and it has noticeably improved how we track and document bugs within our QA and development workflows.

What we love most is how seamlessly it integrates with Confluence. It allows our team to log, monitor, and update bugs directly within the documentation space we're already using. No need to switch between platforms, which saves time and keeps context intact. The inline issue tracking and linking capabilities make collaboration between QA, devs, and project managers much smoother.

The interface is clean and intuitive, especially for non-technical users or stakeholders who just need visibility into open issues. Custom fields, labels, and filters are easy to set up and use.

Pros:

Native Confluence integration

Easy bug creation and tracking

Great for documentation-driven teams

Simple UI
What do you dislike about the product?
However, there’s still room for improvement. The reporting features could be more robust — exporting bug summaries or generating trend analysis reports requires manual work or external tools. It would also be helpful if there were stronger integrations with JIRA or Git, especially for teams using hybrid tracking.

Cons:

Limited analytics and reporting tools

Lacks deeper integration with external issue trackers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence helps us solve several key challenges in documentation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing:

Fragmented Documentation: Before using Confluence, our documentation was scattered across multiple tools and formats. Confluence provides a centralized, organized, and easily searchable space, ensuring that everyone can access the latest information anytime.

Lack of Team Visibility: It bridges communication gaps between QA, developers, and project stakeholders by offering real-time collaboration on project requirements, bug logs, and meeting notes—all in one place.

Onboarding Bottlenecks: With a well-maintained knowledge base, onboarding new team members has become faster and more efficient. They can self-serve information instead of relying on repeated explanations.

Version Control Issues: Confluence's page history and change tracking prevent version conflicts and make it easy to audit updates.

Disconnected Bug Tracking: The Bug Monitoring App within Confluence allows us to log and monitor bugs directly inside our documentation workflow. This eliminates the need to toggle between multiple tools and reduces the risk of bugs being overlooked.

Benefits:

Increased productivity and reduced time spent searching for information

Improved team alignment and accountability

Smoother workflows and faster decision-making

Better documentation quality and maintenance

It can become costly for larger teams, and it offers limited design flexibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bringing all information into one accessible location.
