Confluence is decent and can be better.
What do you like best about the product?
I like Confluence for the ease of sharing documents it affords me as a user.I also like the idea of sharing documents using links ,and even shortening the links if I feel it’s too long.I like the confluence editing functionality,which was recently introduced and this has allowed for effective collaboration amongst team members in my organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Clogged user interface.I think Confluence can do well with a revamp to at least make it look modern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence has helped my organization better organize vital office documents in the cloud,from where it can be accessed by everybody ,while also encouraging teams to collaborate on tasks.
One place for everything I need.
What do you like best about the product?
Any question I have, from technical to the product, to sales, to the company I can find in confluence. If it's not there I can easily upload it in a place others can benefit from too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish others would use it more! But that is not the fault of Atlassian.

It is easy to send links to other employees on information I find there

we have set up a knowledge base to connect all employees together

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that you can create templates for different page types to fit your needs. I also like that you can @ people so they are notified when action items require their attention.
What do you dislike about the product?
The hierarchy was difficult for me to understand, at least in the capacity in which my organization used it. This is part of what I refer to as the "learning hurdle" to start - once a good practice is in place, it probably gets easier to navigate and use the software in a useful way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence is being used to store protocols and track high-level cyclical projects. The main benefits are having a central repository for important information and being able to communicate with staff members over the platform to hold them accountable for work that needs to be performed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to set standard operating protocols for hierarchy, naming conventions, templates, etc. so that everyone is on the same page about how Confluence is to be used. Such resources will also make it easier for new users to acclimate to the software and how it is used in the organization.
God communication tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the almost instant communication of changes and additions to company plans. The ability to comment on individual feeds and recieve instant feedback can be an invaluable tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some occasions when it can be a little too much communication. I widh there were a way to opt out of communications that don't pertain to certain people. If this option does exist I wish it were easier to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has closed gaps in communication between departments. In a multistate opperation it's very helpful.
Great way to organize work
What do you like best about the product?
We are able to organize workload and documents. And you can link documents re: each project.

Sometimes it's hard to edit the document..

Excellent program. Used as a knowledge base for work. Very user friendly, great editing tools

The editing tools - able to quickly create documentation / training material

Some things can take more steps for example copy & pasting images

Training material, new polices and procedures. Centralized place where everyone on the team can have access/ visibility to company wide information

Confluence is similar to Github in a lot of ways,but I think it is more suited for the workplace.It provides teams with control over projects by making it easy to adding project wikis,set project milestones, allocate tasks, create project roadmaps etc
Confluence is up there amongst some of the best collaboration tools I have tried,over the years.I especially like that I can use this for file storage purposes and the version control I have over files stored on Confluence is awesome.

Poor such capability,therefore making my files disorganized and messy.

We use Confluence for team collaboration purposes,for saving files and to maintain a streamlined workflow process.
Confluence - a great tool for our projects
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a great tool for our projects. We collaborate regarding anything on our projects using Confluence. We also use it for monitoring our tickets on day to day basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
We did not find anything specific so far that is negative with confluence. However, integrating with Salesforce or Zendesk would definitely be a great help.

A super-powered github
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is something which behaves like Github, but provides much, much more depth. If you want complete control over your project, including setting milestones, adding wikis, creating roadmaps, allocating work, and tieing this all in to your commits, this is the standard.
What do you dislike about the product?
As many note when talking about Jira products, Confluence suffers from a worse UI than github and gitlab.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used confluence in the past to manage the roadmap, development, and sprint planning of a large government application. It could do anything we wanted, all in one place. We have realized many benefits of having an AIO (All-in-one) software like Confluence, such as faster and more focused development, clear ties between development and written requirements, and managing work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you require more than github or gitlab, this is the product for you.
