What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and all the knowledge based can be put down on confluence.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since I was using url based confluence sometimes the server link would go down and was not available for accessing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All the knowledge related to project can be made available in confluence which would give all the users of that project a platform to get the required information whenever required.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it for knowledge management.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use for new users, and highly customizable. Very useful for all topics/tool/processes requiring documentation. Collaborative updating ability makes it easy to keep things up to date without IT support. UI is very modern and user friendly. The organization of information into Spaces is very useful for setting access limits to sensitive information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search capability shows a lot of non-relevant results, it could be improved by higher weighting to recently updated pages or most popular recommendations. Notifications about updates could be improved by batch them to prevent spamming peoples inboxes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Knowledge share in our organization has been democratized. We can manage a broad range of content on Confluence, from employee on boarding reference material to documentation of our many data and analytics resources.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get familiar with the limitations of this solution before choosing to adopt such as the inability to have pages with the same name or no standard way of adding captions to images, there are only workarounds

Easy to use, templates and customization make this as easy or complicated as you want it to be. Very powerful!
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost can often be a challenge for smaller teams. Can sometimes be clunky when setting up more specific and custom pages.

Development team documentation and knowledge sharing.

Easier to track updates and broadcast them to everyone in a tribe

I hope there was a better integration with Microsoft office products.

Decent overall tool
What do you like best about the product?
Overall this a decent wiki for capturing information and sharing among the team and the company as a whole. In general it does the job without getting in the way allowing me to just dump thoughts on paper and move on. By being extensible, it makes the presentation even easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes get sluggish and have some issues requiring a reboot of the system. The share option takes another step or two when wanting to send someone a quick link to what you are working on. After having seen the note on how to bring up the share link dialog even when I brought it up using the given key sequence, that doesn't appear to work anymore making me have to resort to the mouse and a pull down menu.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing of information across three sites has become fairly simple with Confluence. We also use JIRA and hipchat which allows a bit of cross pollination so to speak creating a decent overall environment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a plan organizing at the start to try and prevent bloat and disparate content.
Team Collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that everything is in one place. I particularly enjoy using the roadmap to see goals and timelines for everyone involved. I also like being able to watch pages so I can see when they are edited. Some of widgets are pretty neat.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would enjoy being able to use more macros and the UI just seems old and outdated. I would also mention that formatting and editing pages may not always be what I am looking for. Tables are particularly hard to create and format to the way I would prefer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to communicate with multiple teams especially since we are all in different locations. We can collaborate and all know where to go to visit to see dates and general information on the project. It is very centralized and you can store documents which is good for reviews and sharing content across many areas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its similar to other tools of its style. I would say the items that are more unique are the team calendar feature, roadmap and individual watchers. It is similar to say using a sharepoint or wiki but with more tools and easier to implement.

What do you like best about the product?
We use confluence as our primary documentation website. It's easy to edit and has a lot of features that make editing easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can be very slow at times, especially when saving and switching between pages. It can be hard to set up and create new pages with correct formatting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using confluence as business documentation. It achieves that business goal, but could be easier to search, navigate and share pages.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
An inhouse solution might be more applicable for larger companies aiming to use this as their primary knowledge base.
Awesome tool for building out workspaces with teams
What do you like best about the product?
I like how buildable this tool is. You are able to build out multiple templates for whatever your team needs!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that team members are unable to update the same page real time and see each others edits as they occur as a google docs document would allow

Overall, it helps keep track of high level plans, assigning tasks, great integration with JIRA

If you are utilizing JIRA as well, confluence is a great product to also utilize. The two software systems work hand in hand and can easily help keep teams on track with due date, as well as act as a paper trail of tasks, and dates

What do you like best about the product?
Easy place to post documents and circulate link
What do you dislike about the product?
I think slack can look sleeker, the boxes are kind of chunky in your screen and general looks doesn’t have a lot of options for clicking the menu etc

easy document storage that looks organized
Confluence is a great tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how clean this software is to navigate and how seamlessly it works. It allows you to work on projects super easy and keeps things organized!
What do you dislike about the product?
There could be more settings to brighten the page.

Project management, working together on projects and keeping documents in one place.
