    Computer & Network Security

A reliable tool for centralized documentation and team collaboration

  • July 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence makes it easy for teams to collaborate on documentation in a structured and organized way. I appreciate the intuitive page hierarchy, real-time editing, and seamless integration with Jira. The search functionality is robust, making it simple to locate specific content across spaces. It's particularly helpful for creating internal knowledge bases, meeting notes, and technical documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Confluence is powerful, the editing interface can occasionally be sluggish for larger pages, especially with complex formatting. Permission settings can also become a bit complicated when managing multiple spaces or user groups. Additionally, the learning curve for new users could be improved with more in-app onboarding guidance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence helps our team centralize project documentation and internal knowledge in one accessible location. It eliminates the need for scattered documents across shared drives or emails, reducing duplication and improving clarity. This has improved onboarding, cross-team collaboration, and reduced time spent searching for information.

Confluence acts as a single source of truth, a centralized reposoitory for documentation. The teams can work on it Real-time making collaboration seamless. Further, Jira integration keeps development work and documents in perfect sync. With fine-grained permissions, powerful macros, and a vibrant marketplace, it scales to any team’s needs.

Its a learning curve. Confluence is undoubtedly a powerful tool but it can overwhelm newcomers, demanding dedicated training on macros, templates, and space hierarchies.

A powerful collaboration tool for documentation and knowledge sharing

  • July 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence makes team collaboration incredibly smooth, especially when it comes to documenting processes, product specs, meeting notes, and internal knowledge bases. I love how easy it is to create and format pages using templates. The integration with Jira and other Atlassian tools is seamless, making it easier to keep project documentation and tickets in sync. The search functionality is strong, and the ability to link pages and embed assets makes everything feel well-connected.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the core features are solid, the interface can sometimes feel a bit clunky and slow—especially when working with larger pages or loading lots of nested content. Permissions can also be a bit confusing to manage across multiple spaces, and page versioning sometimes creates unnecessary noise. The mobile experience could definitely use improvement
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team uses Confluence as a single source of truth for all our internal documentation—from onboarding guides to sprint planning and post-mortems. It’s reduced the chaos of scattered Google Docs and emails. Everyone knows where to find the latest information, and editing in real time helps foster collaboration across design, engineering, and product.

The useability and feature set for technical documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much. Improvements are still there, but overall seems fine.

A solid tool for documentation and team visibility, but not without quirks

  • July 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a DevOps engineer, I appreciate how easy it is to create structured internal docs, SOPs, and onboarding guides. The hierarchy with spaces and pages fits really well for managing project-based documentation. Its specially useful whil eworking with the cross functional teams .
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes basic formatting acts up, which is frustrating when you are trying to just drop in content and move on. Also the search function feels hit-or-miss at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a DevOps engineer, I use Confluence to centralize runbooks, infrastructure overviews, sprint notes, and project retros. Before this, documentation was scattered in Git repos, random Notion pages, or lost in Slack threads. Now we have got a single place where the whole team like Devs, QA, Ops, even PMs , all can reference and contribute. It improves transparency and reduces repeat questions from team members.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use on our organization, anyone can can easily collaborate on creating pages and can easily share it as well. It's also easy to link JIRA tickets that we use on our projects. We use it all the time to document what happen on our sprints / release as well as for creating knowledge transfer documents and tracking test results.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times that the confluence space get cluttered, not sure if there a feature to maintain it easily. Other than that I am good with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a test automation engineer, we use Confluence daily to post the results of the automated test. People from other project can easily use the pages created daily to track the status of the environments we use for testing, it is all there so they don't need to contact us for anything.

Using it as a knowledge base as well from simple how-tos to complex software documentation that is needed on our day to day tasks.
