What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a great tool for collaboration. You can tag co-workers, create a list, track documents, add users, manage a calendar and more all within one system.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a while to get used to the layout and how to create pages in Confluence. Once you've started creating, it gets easier to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved several issues that may have been lost in email. We track all of our projects in Confluence which makes our process easier.

Confluence is a great knowledge management tool

  • July 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence has a nice organizational structure for parent and child pages to roll up into specific team-dedicated spaces.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence's UI is a little outdated, thus most employees do not utilize the full extent of knowledge Confluence provides in relation to my company due to the difficulty of navigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence is a great knowledge management tool for my company. We are able to house a large variety of documentation on Confluence and it is all separated by teams and departments. Our documentation that lives in Confluence includes SOPs, network evaluations, company KPIs, and we even use Confluence for project management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence is a great tool to use for knowledge management and documenting standard business processes that are to be shared across departments. If you are looking for a Project Management tool, look elsewhere as Confluence is not the strongest PM tool out there.

Historical note taking and record keeping. It helps alleviate lost knowledge during employee turnover.

I would build or buy a different wiki tool

A tool to share and collaborative documents online.

  • July 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is great for sharing and working on documents together. It gets rid of the need to email documents back and forth. You are able to make live edits and everyone can see and reference the page.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX is not the most friendliest and can take a while to get used to using.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Back and forth emails and working off an old document. It works great with JIRA and being able to reference documents. It is a solid way to have a consolidated calendar where everyone can put in important dates, and etc.

A simplified version of Sharepoint

  • July 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Allows for content page collaboration, without need for fancy font and style for distraction.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of editing tools, poor file repository and management tool, no versioning controls for any file uploaded, no folder structure
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence for tutorials, release repository, and basic file storage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Not meant to use as a file repository or for collaboration editing of files. Use mostly if you want to create a text based wiki page on topics. When viewing some documents from Confluence, some features within files may not be included (IE, checkboxes in Word will not show up)

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence allows businesses to organize their team spaces and collaboration into easy to use pages.
What do you dislike about the product?
The website is rather simplistic and UI and it can become cumbersome to find a site within a large business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Within our business it allows us to organize resources in a way that limits the clutter presented to users for whom no relevance exists.
