I am new to the software and yet i am their biggest fan!
What do you like best about the product?
i am not very familiar with designing webpages, but my company needed a single location for all their files that would be helpful and organized to our team members. once i started playing around with the features i became obsessed! it is very user friendly and has a lot to to offer. you can also customize so many features!
What do you dislike about the product?
my company pays for a certain package (not aware of the type) but i am limited to the basic features ,i wish i could try all the features on the marketplace
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
instead of making team members search all other the internet for files confluence has set up a way that anyone in the company can access these documents without a need of a login.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability for multiple users to edit at the same time.

Nothing as such. But it would be better if some more formatting tools were added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Confluence for requirement documentation.
Nice comprehensive collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the freedom it gives the users to share information with the rest of the team
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how difficult it can be to write and properly format everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence as a team collaboration tool and a wiki for processes. It's also used extensively for training.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using this product if you got the Atlassian suite. The Atlassian suite is very conducive to making all aspects of its products sync up well which allows for a seamless workflow using this product.
great documentation product
What do you like best about the product?
This product is great for documentation and sharing information. Also this product keeps a revision history so if you need to find an old version of the document you can.
What do you dislike about the product?
the product was a little confusing and took more training time then it should.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
this product is great for sharing and downloading documents with ease. A key benefit of the product is eliminating the need to approach different people for documents
Recommendations to others considering the product:
i would recommend others to not get discouraged from learning the product. It takes extra training but once you learn it is very easy to use

A great tool for team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to use for people who are familiar with Wikipedia. People can create, modify pages as well as the relationship between different pages. Very convenient for teams that want to have a shared documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every time there is an update on the certain pages (the pages that are related with you), I would receive an email notifying about it, which could be kind of annoying sometimes. But I believe there is some way to have the settings to get rid of these notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence is really a good tool for team collaboration. With Confluence, teams can create, modify shared documentations as they want. People from other teams or departments can also refer to these pages to gain knowledge that they want to know.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
An excellent and easy tool to use for team collaboration and knowledge sharing. The CSS templates are also included within Confluence so that users can style and format their pages as they want. Confluence also provides API which gives users ability for expansion usage.
Confluence works OK, but UX need to updated
What do you like best about the product?
It allows me and my team member to work together relatively seamlessly
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX feels clunky and not intuitive - for instance with regards to social features and an easy way to track which documents where updated and by whom
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mostly use Confluence for knowledge and document sharing and collaboration. It has saved us from constantly emailing versions to each other.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's fit for purpose for simpler document sharing and collaboration. However, the 'look and feel' or UX need to be updated to drive usage with my team.
Great for collaboration; limited interface and functions.
What do you like best about the product?
The comment system and change history really work for a great collaborative experience. It's great for storing and collaborating on documentation; a well-organized user can do great things with Confluence.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some text and formatting features that are really lacking. The tables are fairly worthless; the inability to freeze rows is baffling. Confluence is best used for lots of plain text as opposed to tabled data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The importance of communication and collaboration is really highlighted with Confluence. I like it best for working on documentation rather than managing projects, but it makes working together on information very easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Stick to using it for documentation as opposed to collecting data. It's not super intuitive when it comes to formatting, but it really does the job for a well-organized mind.
Great resource for creating internal knowledge base articles
What do you like best about the product?
Customizability in creating page "templates" from which to build knowledge base articles, including imagery, stylized text, and even files and attachments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes finding the articles that i created can be sort of difficult; a way to index articles so I can find them would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a provider of IT services, we have alot of high-tech situations that require documentation. Perhaps we're looking to employ a solution we built in the past for a different customer, or just create an article about an incident managment that will allow us to brief ourselves on what we did. Confluence allows us to create an internal knowledge base with easy to read articles for just that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're creating a knowledge base of articles, make sure you have a way to find knowledge quickly, or the whole thing is for not. Make article titles that are relevant; make use of the 'labels' for easy search results.
