Confluence Review

Easily integrated with jira. A easy place to point people to for general knowledge
What do you dislike about the product?
limitations on some UX. It's not the easiest to figure out special features besides just the regular template.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A place to write notes and product summaries for general knowledge across company.
Confluence for documenting
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is great for single sourcing documentation and collaboration
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of some basic editing features such as find and replace and a good spell check feature
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Single sourcing and team collaboration
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Find and replace! Better spell check. More text formatting options.
A Centralized Repository to Access, Search Relevant Content
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence's task management feature allows our team and supervisor to delegate, monitor and track changes to tasks assigned to each employee. The task management feature updates managers with status on tasks that are completed, impending, or overdue. The software integrates with JIRA to enable project transparency.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence certainly has not kept up with the delivery of crisp updated user interfaces. Also, it can be confusing to figure out the different layouts and such that you can use on a page. It's not the easiest to work with in terms of creating, editing, and designing new pages. It's also not easy to find your way around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence has helped our company with our company-wide information where all of our users can access and store company-wide information. Our teams can inter-link pages and areas of our company together in order to share inter-departmental ideas. We have developed a lot of new initiatives and can communicate all of these through Confluence. Strong transparency for our users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dont expect a cutting edge look or interface.Be sure to train well on this software. Its very confusing to set up, almost impossible to find certain settings pages and overall very annoying to format.Be sure your legacy system is compatable with this software. API's are not a strength.
A very useful team collaboration tool where we can create file and share with peers
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing that I like about the confluence is, it is very easy to use, no issue in navigation, multiple people can edit the file, creating the page is easy. I feel it is user friendly
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that it should have more type of text fonts, table use is a bit tricky, often I get confused, and there could have been the better search option for file search. Apart from these I did not find any other issue with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped me manage my files, records, their versions and gave me the flexibility to modify the files whenever I want. overall satisfied with this product.
WYSIWYG FTW
What do you like best about the product?
No markup required with excellent copy-paste support for images. This reduces the barrier of creation for non-tech oriented disciplines like art and design. I also like how the parent-child relationship between pages is virtual to the point that you can programmatically display all children of a page as well as reparent any page to a different parent.
Other features I like:
* Export to PDF (great for sharing docs externally)
* Table of Contents Widget
* Integration with JIRA
* Excellent searchability

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the widgets can cause issues with web page formatting, such as cutting the page in half with a scrollbar on top half. Hopefully, those bugs get resolved soon. They have also recently eliminated the option of showing the site tree in the sidebar, which makes it difficult to internalize how the pages are organized. We have had to work around this by creating a specific link to the site tree on the front page. Also, 2FA is part of a separate package that you're expected to pay extra for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have pages full of screenshots ready to link to whenever somebody asks the question "How do you do X?". We even have our Slackbot linking to those pages whenever you ask specific questions on Slack. This reduces the amount of overhead wasted on asking the same questions over and over and waiting for answers to those previously answered questions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We use Atlassian's cloud service for minimal IT risk and hassle, which costs a monthly fee per bucket of users.
Great security features for important information
What do you like best about the product?
Great security and complete customization
What do you dislike about the product?
When changing security accesses for new employees, a lot of steps to go through and some part is always missed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was a collective place to put all of our sensitive information where everyone could add to it or access it if needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It definitely takes some time to set everything up. But it's a great option that isn't cloud based for storing material.
Confluence - Way to go

Collaborative Space
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is were easy to navigate and the platform itself It is very easy to use and administer .
What do you dislike about the product?
Users get bombarded by emails when a page is updated. Any small change on a page triggers the email alert.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We utilize confluence as a collaborative store for all information in the company. It is a great resource for actively sharing and updating informational stores
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your looking for a place to centralize a knowledge base for your users then confluence is the ideal tool for you.
Built a knowledge base
What do you like best about the product?
Freedom to be creative and really customize this into anything you want. We each had access to edit as we went along building until we had it right and then we could lock it down.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe not enough optional structure. More templates?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We built a knowledge base for member Service. It has given us the ability to be consistent with our answers but also go somewhere to find them. We were sharing our tribal knowledge and could create our own little pages of notes as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This was the best option and the best price. We spent time researching and This was customizable, and searchable.
