What do you like best about the product?
It is powerful and customizable, but provides a clean, easy interface for our end users.

Search can be a hit-or-miss. I often have to scroll through pages of results to find what I need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence to manage documentation for several of our projects. Ease of updating is a huge plus. Documentation can easily be updated or clarified with minimal effort.

Each project can have lots of pages associated and links to documents are shared. The alerts received by email allow to see what changed on the modified page compared to the previous version.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can easily get lost if you don’t know where to search.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a tool that could be easily used by the whole company and this is doing the job.

What do you like best about the product?
My firm uses Confluence for all of our content sharing and collaboration and it's really a great tool. It is easy to use, pretty intuitive, and an easy tool to train new team members on.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems a little hard to "archive" things in an efficient manner (possibly user error though!).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were trying to have a central location to house a lot of pieces of content for a team located all over the US,
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My team just started using JIRA - another offering from this company, and it is also great and pretty cool to use for managing projects.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the huge amount of possibilities for what you can do with Confluence. You can do whateeevvverrrr you want with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the user interface. I think it looks dated, and can easily become overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company is using Confluence as a method of documenting pretty much everything: HR documents and rules, guides for how to do certain tasks in Support, meeting minutes, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't freak out. There's a lot to look at, and things can get lost easily. So, get used to looking at tables of contents and the search function.

Confluence is a useful website to categorize and share information for work

  • July 06, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ease of updating pages and searching for information my company needs so I can better do my job.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like most of its features, and one things I would improve is the difficulty of editing pages such as adding extra boxes to a box structure holding names and other information. You have to click a button up top and can't modify the object with your mouse.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving knowledge transfer business problems and improving knowledge base of everyone at the company. This quickens our ability to solve problems.

How Confluence Works in our Software Company

  • July 06, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Working with confluence is a game changer when it comes to documenting all internal procedures. Like any company, there are 1000+ procedures and onboarding new people is tough when they have nowhere to go to read about it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Confluence is great, the initial setup was a little tough. I guess you need to be pretty technical to be able to know everything about it before embarking on your first post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Like any company, there are 1000+ procedures and onboarding new people is tough when they have nowhere to go to read about it.

Now, when a new employee starts, we give them a link to confluence and boom, they have everything they need to know internally about how the company runs. Fall into a situation and not sure what to do, go to confluence to read the procedures on XYZ. It takes the need for memorizing everything and the inaccuracy of everyone's memory remembering something different.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a tool to document everything about your company, your product for internal use, Confluence should be on your list to try out. Pick a person in your company technical and give them a vision of what you want accomplished. Then let them run with it and setup a couple of examples. You need to make sure that you have buy-in from other staff or it will not work.
