Useful for cataloguing help documentation
What do you like best about the product?
Great for referencing useful resources when encountering problems

Search functionality gets difficult when a lot of documentation is put into the site

Allows for quick access of help materials
Confluence is great for doc storage but with drawbacks.

Great wysiwyg editor, good tools and integrations for many other services.

Search functionality is weak. Hard to find what you’re looking for with big document sets.

Great for Corporate Organizations
What do you like best about the product?
I like the edit, restriction permissions and label features for Confluence. We use it for training and interdepartmental. I like that you can create different platforms/areas and organize any relevant info as a subsidiary. Which is great for organizing articles and how to's. We use it as a knowledge database and infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the editing features when creating or editing articles. It get's quite confusing, especially for people that aren't used to basic editing features. I feel like this can be simplified a bit more. Autosave feature isn't as apparent and it would be great to view edit history.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides structure and platforms for departments within our company and vertical channels. It helps up maintain training, macros, presentations and minutes.
Great Wiki, Needs Improved Search/Archiving Features

I appreciate the fact that Confluence has become the main place that we store all company information in - from HOW TOs, Playbooks and Product Knowledge to Internal PTO calendars and Human Resources information. It really allows you to
What do you dislike about the product?
The search functionality is not as robust as the platform, and archiving overall is a true nightmare.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows our company of 120+ employees to have access to the same information. It also allows us to create departmental spaces for knowledge sharing.
Pretty good tool for displaying technical information
What do you like best about the product?
Atlassian has added tons of free Macros that help you design your pages to impress.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ability to house attachments is seriously lacking. Many want to use Confluence as a documentation repository - but it is simply not designed to handle files. Each page allows for attachments, but those attachments get lost with only a small, single icon to retrieve them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Each product team is able to display their team progress effectively. Notes on projects are also shared publicly in order to efficiently collaborate.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for displaying data. Not so great as a file repository.

Limited control, you can't organize easily or copy and paste easily or customize much.
