Confluence provides a good Knowledge Base
What do you like best about the product?
I like how I can you Confluence to easily look up customers' problems or utilize the search functionality to solve my daily cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the search function didn't work exactly the way I wanted such that it didn't direct the right Knowledge Base for my problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Confluence to write and find documentation for our Customers' Knowledge base. There are more collaboration in the team since everyone is responsible to contribute.

This is one of the best tools that we use at work to share information with each other

This sends updates to all watchers when you make an update

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence helps our remote teams collaborate together, comment on pages, and help each other with projects. We use it to track version changes to documents, and share meeting notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence stopped supporting Wiki markup languages. There's workarounds--like using add-ons, but it should be a native feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence makes it easy to interact with employees that work remotely, or overseas. Everyone works together on a project and its easy to share notes and get feedback from others. We are able to better utilize our overseas staff.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dump Sharepoint, and use Confluence. There's so many features and it integrates with a lot of other software you already use.

Confluence is super easy to navigate, find information, tag people

The formatting can be annoying especially if you need to use mathematics

It es extensible with hundreds of plugins which can do a lot of things, such as embedding graphics or PDFs into your pages.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no way to see in real-time what your page would look like. It's also relatively slow.

We use it as internal wiki.
Great tool for Collaboration and Information Management
What do you like best about the product?
The various macros and add-ins allows us to integrate diagrams, roadmaps, and videos into a website format. Some of my team members lack technical expertise, as this is very easy for them to use!
What do you dislike about the product?
Can’t make certain pages private. Have to work in a private space then move to public, which is a bit confusing to first time users.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to format and post, add documents, pictures and text all on the same page makes it a good single spot.
What do you dislike about the product?
Rendering for some standard doc types like PowerPoint is extremely bad and slow. Search options are limited and page hierarchy in the results doesn't really reflect where the page resides.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to add pages, topics, tables, easy to link to JIRA system and to other Confluence pages, easy to move or re-order pages from one place to another.
What do you dislike about the product?
The editing tools for a page are not very user friendly, headings and paragraph styles are often awkward, and carry over to next line or paragraph by mistake.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing Wiki boards to share information in major development and engineering teams in the company
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Need to have an agreed upon structure - simple ad-hoc democratic use of Confluence ends up being messy and disorganized, with unnecessary duplications of content
